“Een puike selectie, waar ik binnenkort zeker nog eens ga neuzen! Een kleine winkel met zeer veel keuze en zeer goed opgebouwd ook. Waar het de gevorderde bierliefhebber omdraait zijn vaak de specialekes wel ik zag hier onder andere nog Fou'foune van Cantillon. “

“Voor mij was dit helemaal niet goed. Het eten in combinatie met het bier zelf slecht! Chef eigenaar was ongezien onsympathiek .“

“Great drink shop with a very modern feeling. Well displayed beers. All the typical belgians quite extensive Lambic section aswell. Some international brands. Almost all trappist beers. Fair prices. Easy parking outside. 5mins off the highway. Worth a detour from the highway.“

“Small shop in the centre of attractive Leuven where old meets new. Whilst the shop is small it has some treats for those looking for the odd rarer thing: St Bernardus Oak Aged (25E), HORALS Megablend 2017 (12E), a whole range of De Cam including fruit variations although no Oude Kriek, Westys for nine euros each, Hommage and Intense Red. Worth a look in and of course the shop is connected to the website.“

“Beer and drinks warehouse on the outskirts of Leuven near the Stella Artois brewery. This specialises in people buying cases of beers but it has a really extensive range of beers with a few rarer things. Nicely laid out and modern it's divided into sections. Wasn't expecting to find too much but they had Hommage, Mikkeller Boon stuff, the VAT series, Bzart bottles for 15E, Westmalle Extra and every other regular Belgian beer. Probably the third best warehouse place I've been to after Granken Geers and Bierhandel Willems.“

“I went here two days in a row and that was two very different experiences. Needless to say the first visit was by far the best. On that visit I got their flyer with their two standard beers and a seasonal. All three were above average. Judging by their menu they had more beers, so we decided to come back the next day to have lunch and some more beers. Service was fine at the first visit. On the next days I ordered small beers of the three on their menu I hadn't had, but when the waiter brought my beers, he had all by himself decided, that since they didn't have the beers I had ordered, which he off course didn't bother telling me, he would just give me the same three beers I had had the day before. Brilliant idea. He off course felt no need to apologize when I protested about his choices on my behalf. The food was pretty mediocre. Go here only for their own beers, and don't be surprised if service is poor.“

“Great little beer store with a central location. I had scouted their website form home picking out a few lambics I wanted, so I knew what I was looking for. In addition to their really good selection of lambics, they also have a solid selection of Belgian micros and a bit of foreign stuff as well. The owner was very pleasant to talk to and very helpful - Great service. I would certainly go back if in Leuven again.“

“Had heel sjiek geweest, ik bestelde een Val dieu grand cru, 35 min later stond hij voor ons. Zelf uitschenken, zelf open doen. Triest en geen beleving! men had mij gewaarschuwd dat ik nooit iets van de eerste keer zou kunnen bestellen omdat er te vaak dingen op zijn, dit was dus niet het geval!“

“What started off to be THE place with the most beers in the world, soon became one of the laughing stocks in Leuven bar scene. Visited couple of times in beginning, this is how it goes: this one. NO. This one. NO. After selecting the 10th beer, finally they have it in stock. Arrogant service, waiters are not knowledgeable. 20 taps, mostly commercial big brands. No Stella in a Leuven bar, a bit of a shame ha. Nice try, but this kinda place will only work for some tourists...“

“Pretty neat selection of Belgian beers. It’s more tourist focused, but still possible to find some nice gems. Those gems will be costly though. Owner is nice and knows his stuff.“

“Visited 28Nov.2016 and this place certainly made up for Fiere Margriet and M-Café being closed. Lots of interesting beers on tap and bottled. Place was busy with people from all walks of life. Staff pretty clueless about beer.“

“Lacklustre beers, just a standard pils (I think even Stella is better) and a very ordinary dunkel. Food once excellent, another time below par so won’t be coming back! Only 2 brews both times I’ve been here.“

“For a large-ish cafe in Leuven, this is as boring as can be. Only very well known beers and not even particularly good ones. Uninterested service, high prices. There is no reason at all to go here (well except if you want to tick places perhaps, which is why I ended up here, but check better-rated ones first!)“

Exotic World (Beer Store)
BRUSSELSESTRAAT 139
“Very odd supermarket, like a night shop mixed with a flee market mixed with an exotic food store. Anyway, the eclectic mix of beers on offer is very unexpected, with stuff like Leffe, Tocalmatto, De Vlier, Fantome next to each other. Probably find a new tick or 2 here and the prices are better than expected, but it is far from a beer destination. Lenient opening hours, so when driving by you could stop to check for some odd bottles. For a supermarket the staff was very friendly, but not really ’service’ of course.“

“Considering the target audience (tourists) and size (tiny), this shop is not so bad. Sure, with the Belgian Beer Shop Leuven meters form here there is not MUCH reason to stop by, but the small selection of local bottles (De Vlier being most local and unknown, I suppose) is okay. Perhaps best, for tourists, about this place is that you can get bikes for rent and beer routes. A nice way to visit the area of you have time on your hands!“

“Much nicer than I thought it would be. Sure, it is a run-down cafe on the big square and they don’t even serve food, for instance. But the tap list is much more progressive than most bars around, with modern Belgian like Hof ten Dormaal. Prices are very reasonable and I think you get get a tick or 2 since the locals change regularly. So if the sun is out in Leuven and you want to see the crowd walk by, settle here, bring your own food and drink.“
