52 /100 BarBarian Miraflores 108 (Bar) CALLE BONILLA 108 Not a bad place for a beer, Miraflores is a nice neighborhood. Good ambiance, good service. |
78 /100 Mangos (Restaurant) ARCOMAR, MALECÓN DE LA RESERVA 610 Visited for dinner on a Thursday evening. The restaurant is located in an outdoor mall overlooking the ocean. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating available. We visited at the recommendation of our tour guide the night before as a place to find good ceviche. We weren't disappointed on that front, but were also pleased to see a decent selection of Peruvian craft beers available. Service was excellent, and our food was all delicious. Would highly recommend if you are in the Miraflores part of town. |
66 /100 Vivanda (Grocery Store) AVENIDA BENAVIDES 495, MIRAFLORES Visited several times on my visit to Lima/Miraflora. Like has been mentioned in another review, it’s a grocery store, but is a bit higher end. The beer selection caught me by surprise. It’s probably only 30 strong, but all were all Peruvian. Not all craft, but about half were. Some were in coolers as well. It was worth my time to visit because my hotel was a block away. Would not necessarily go out of my way for it. |
70 /100 Vivanda (Grocery Store) AVENIDA BENAVIDES 495, MIRAFLORES It is a classical supermarket for the middle/high class people. The selection of beers is not so great but you can get a couple of candelaria/sierra andina and the eternal and classical macrolagers of this country, the choice of food is good but rather expansive. |
84 /100 La Cerveteca (Beer Store) AVENIDA ERNESTO DIEZ CANSECO 319, MIRAFLORES I was happy to find a beer store in this giant city of Lima. It is better to check your timetable before to go and it is recommended to come since 5 p.m to be sure to find this store open, relatively easy to find, in this turistical area of the south of Lima The selection of this shop is focused on the Peruvian craft beers, few classical Belgian and English beers, few German beers. The guy was nice, a bit shy, the local is rather small, the prices are not all the time written, but the guy is loyal and for a Peruvian craft beer, it costs around 13 soles like 3 euros, not cheap, but it is fair, some small breweries that it could be nice for the beer hunters, the area is safe, be discreet is better. |
62 /100 Megaplaza (Grocery Store) ALFREDO MENDIOLA 3698, INDEPENDENCIA For the tourists, it is not necesary to go to this place, big Commercial Center, unfortunately the craftbeer Scene in Peru is still weak. If you go to the tottus Supermarket, you have a selection of Peruvian macrobreweries, international beers are poor regarding the choice, you could get some barbarians beers, a lot of restaurants are available in the area. |
82 /100 BarBarian Miraflores 108 (Bar) CALLE BONILLA 108 Hipstery bar with 20 peruvian taps. Until 8 pm you can get 4 times 0.1 l for under 20 soles. Some bottles as well but they are a bit more pricey. Peruvian belgian and some other beers. Had a fun time here. Recommendable.
Ps food was good but could have been more. |
76 /100 BarBarian Miraflores 108 (Bar) CALLE BONILLA 108 Visited 29 September 2016. Starting point of our South America trip. Close to Kennedy park and hosts one of the Free Walking tours. 24 taps with both their own and other Peruvian micro breweries (Secret Valley, etc) Opted for the tasting set (8). Pricey in Peruvian standards (15USD) but still ok. Had some nice IPAs, also some less interesting stuff. Guys behind the bar are really stoked about craft beer and like to suggest some stuff. If you want to visit the brewery, you’ll need to get out of town (too far). It was a rather quiet afternoon, but the place looks nice, with also a empty bottles beer shelves. When visiting Lima, a must visit for craft beer fans! |
82 /100 BarBarian Miraflores 108 (Bar) CALLE BONILLA 108 Nice tap room with around 24 taps with a great mix of local breweries (only 6 or so where Barbarian, so great range from other peruvian brerweries) as well as a couple imports (I think they were twon belgians like Delirium Tremmens, or something like that). Servce was great, quick and attentive. Was a quiet afternoon but good ambiance. |
94 /100 PROLONGACION SAN LORENZO 1227 Try their chocolate and beer tours every friday at 7 to 9pm. It is free and delicious with great price on beers. |
92 /100 Nuevo Mundo Draft Bar (Bar) AV LARCO 421 MIRAFLORES Lot of good beers and good food to choose from. Nice place for a beer and for party on friday and saturday. |
66 /100 1874 Taproom (Bar) JIRON SUCRE 315 Been there few times.
The bar can be sometimes almost empty, which is good if you want to speak with friends over a beer without shouting. Although I’m not a big fan of the lounge style and the TVs on...
They serve some classic good Peruvian beers (Magdalena, Invictus, Sierra Andina...) on tap and in bottles, with a price more or less similar to the other craft draft bars in Lima.
One of the beers I ordered was spoiled, I guess, because usually I like it (Invictus Alquimista (Dubbel), 6,5%) so I’d blame the batch or the bulk, but apart from that nothing to say. Not my favourite spot in Lima, but a good one in Barranco, worth a try. |
38 /100 Rincón Cervecero (Bar) JR. DE LA UNIÓN 1045 Came here on 10.7.2016. Close to Lima old town. Nice location, a kind of sports bar, came on the day of the European Championship final: France vs Portugal (0:1). No need to come for the beers. |
42 /100 CALLE MÁRTIR JOSÉ OLAYA 139, MIRAFLORES Came here on 9.7.2016. Located in Miraflores not far from the Kennedy park. Nice interior, high ceiling, colorful pictures on the walls and well designed beer labels. They did not have any draft beers, only 4 beers in bottles. The brewery is located outside of Lima. The beers were average at the best. Pub was completely empty on a Friday late afternoon. |
72 /100 BarBarian Miraflores 108 (Bar) CALLE BONILLA 108 Came here on 9.7.2016. Was very positively surprised by this US style beer bar, did not expect to find so many beers in Peru. 23 beers on tap, whereof around 8 beers were from their own brewery, many from other Peruvian Craft Breweries. List included also several imported beers from Europe and the US. BarBarian Brewery is located not at the premises, but a bit outside of Lima. Highlight was a Quinoa beer, very nice taste. Quinoa is a plant growing only in the Andes mountains at above 4,000 meters. Liked the interior of the pub with large graffiti’s on two walls and a large selection of beer bottles on the other side. Overall an unexpected beer experience and absolutely recommendable. |
76 /100 BarBarian Miraflores 108 (Bar) CALLE BONILLA 108 Right off Parque Kennedy in Lima, American style beer bar. Not sure if they had the kitchen open when I was there. 20+ taps and 25+ bottles, lots of Barbarian offerings but other Peruvian brewers too. For me, this place is WAY better than Canas y Tapas. Service is solid, the staff is passionate about beer. Probably THE place in Lima. |
58 /100 Cañas y Tapas (Bar) GRAL BORGOÑO 149 MIRAFLORES Located not too far from Parque Kennedy, busy after work spot. Not much for ambiance. Fairly large selection, but be careful, they are out of many things. Didn’t eat but looked like standard bar fare. Services was OK. Worth checking out for selection, but I liked other places more. |
54 /100 CALLE MÁRTIR JOSÉ OLAYA 139, MIRAFLORES In Miraflores, near Parque Kennedy. Located down a small alley surrouned by tall buildings. Despite its downtown setting, it was a relaxing and quiet atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. Nice outdoor patio space. They had four beers on a samplers were available. The beer needs some work but for many travelers, this might be the easiest brewpub to reach. This would score lower for me in Minneapolis, but there are few options in Lima. |
80 /100 Nuevo Mundo Draft Bar (Bar) AV LARCO 421 MIRAFLORES Went here 3 times while visiting Lima.
The beers seemed to change quickly as I had plenty of new to choose from every time.
About 6 from Nuevo Mundo and the rest from various Peruvian craft breweries.
Heads up, it might be easy to miss with only a small sign at street level. |
68 /100 1874 Taproom (Bar) JIRON SUCRE 315 Quaint little beer bar in Barranco immediately across the park from the scenic El Puente de los Suspiros. 12 taps, though not all of them were on, and maybe another 15 bottles. Very quiet on the Tuesday night I was in. Doesn’t seem to be a kitchen. Around the corner from Barranco Beer Company. Worth coming down to check out the park and hit two spots in one cab ride. |
70 /100 Nuevo Mundo Draft Bar (Bar) AV LARCO 421 MIRAFLORES 2nd floor bar immediately across the street from Parque Kennedy in Miraflores. 12 taps, maybe 20 bottles, all Peruvian craft. Some of the beer strikes me as being fresher than others, but they are trying. Service was fine, an English speaker or two on the staff which makes things easier. Food is standard pub fare with an emphasis on burgers. For that it’s worth, my fries were really tasty. A touch on the pricey side, but all beer seems to be that way here and you are in the Times Square of Lima. All in all, a good place to stop and try a a few locals when you are in town. |
92 /100 PROLONGACION SAN LORENZO 1227 Interesting place, a real brewery where beer is being made, you can actually see the beer being made which is interesting. There is a little bar where you can buy their beer, mainly to take with you, though they do organise events when there are drinking facilities. Very interesting if you are a beer aficionado. |
70 /100 Cañas y Tapas (Bar) GRAL BORGOÑO 149 MIRAFLORES Very nice bar located in Miraflores. The bar is clean, music isn’t loud compared with other local bars. It probably has the largest selection of Peruvian craft beer in bottle. Bottles go between 5-8 dollars. Draft almost the same, but I’d recommend you to only order bottles as I noticed that they do not clean their lines often enough. My Barvarian Pale Ale tasted very buttery compared to the bottle version. |
44 /100 Rincón Cervecero (Bar) JR. DE LA UNIÓN 1045 Very nice place. Used to go there every evening when staying in Lima (was a convenient short walk from Sheraton hotel). |
80 /100 Cañas y Tapas (Bar) GRAL BORGOÑO 149 MIRAFLORES Attractive bar with two levels and exposed brick. Decent music. Nice vibe. Simple menu. Interesting beer list with numerous Peruvian offerings. Sadly three of those we ordered were sold out The staff was trying pretty hard but it really helped to have a fluent Spanish speaker. There was no indication on the menu of what was on draft at what was from bottles. Still, a pretty amazing place in a corner of the world where macro pale lagers still rue supreme. |
74 /100 Cañas y Tapas (Bar) GRAL BORGOÑO 149 MIRAFLORES Great place for having a Peruvian micro beer. Have them all I gather. Been there a couple of times, but always around 6 pm when they open, so can not say much about the ambience or how the service is when there is lot of people, but for me it worked okey. Asked if I could have a sample of a Maddok Porter, and the woman behind the desk were just happy to let me try it. Without charging me.
And the selection, as I said, is superb according to Peruvian standards. A must when in Lima. And fortunately, the bar is just 75 meters from my hotel. |
88 /100 PROLONGACION SAN LORENZO 1227 This is a factory brewery, not a brewpub. There is no tasting facility. If you know the owners you can go and buy cases direct from the brewmaster Pierre. The ratings are only to give my impression of the quality of the brewery and its team. the beers are great and the bottling is better than most for Peru. The beers are European style and more subtle / sophisticated than most others in Peru. Great new addition to the Lima scene. |
70 /100 Cañas y Tapas (Bar) GRAL BORGOÑO 149 MIRAFLORES The best craft and import beer selection I have yet found in Peru. Maddok and Barbarian on tap is a gem. Location is fine, ambience is a little cold and unwelcoming. Unfortunately the service is bad, the girls are not very friendly or knowledgeable and the owner is never around to improve things. Food is all right. Go for the beers, its worth it, but don’t expect great service |
64 /100 Papacho’s (Restaurant) AVENIDA LA PAZ 1045 A casual burger restaurant by famous Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio. Slick and modern with very good burgers. Features a dozen or so Peruvian micro beers so it’s worth checking out when you’re in Miraflores. |
76 /100 Los Salas (Grocery Store) AV. CAMINOS DEL INCA 1005, CHACARILLA DEL ESTANQUE, SANTIAGO DE SURCO Licoreria bastante surtida, cervezas peruanas (entre ellas artesanales) y extranjeras |
70 /100 Cañas y Tapas (Bar) GRAL BORGOÑO 149 MIRAFLORES This is the place to find smth notable to drink in Lima. Most Belgian and some Brit imports fill in the list with local brews. The ace up the sleeve are the Barbarian beers on tap. Cerveceria Artesanal Barbarian is the best micro around Peru. I didn’t taste the food. |
80 /100 Deli Sitter Haus (Grocery Store) AV. RICARDO PALMA 1226, URB. LA AURORA 18 It is one of few places where you can get most and sometimes all the Peruvian craft beers. Thus it is not ’amazing’ in an international context, but in a local context, it’s basically as good as it gets in Lima. |
76 /100 Cañas y Tapas (Bar) GRAL BORGOÑO 149 MIRAFLORES A decent, American-styled drinking hole with an interesting (for South America, at least) selection of bottled imports and a handful on draught. The real highlight, however, are the Barbarian offerings on tap. Pleasant ambiance and what looked to be a nice little tapas bar menu. Small and well-formed. Near the centre of Miraflores and well worth seeking out for a decent drop in deepest, darkest Peru. |
68 /100 Restaurante Chez Philippe (Restaurant) AV. 2 DE MAYO 748 SAN ISIDRO Excellent restaurant with a great ambiance. Not a huge selection of beer, but as a venue to enjoy a drink with friends and loved ones, I have to say this place is great. |
68 /100 Gourmet Market (Grocery Store) AV. SAN MARTÍN 480 - 106B, BARRANCO If you’re in Lima, this place is great. Nice corner store part of the Atelier building, with a great selection of beers, wine and scotch along cheese and pastries. Excellent sandwiches. Friendly staff and speak well english. |
100 /100 AV. ROSA TORO 1151 SAN BORJA REALMENTE LAS CERVEZAS ARTESANALES QUE FABRICAN EN SU MISMA PLANTA TIENEN MUCHO CUERPO, Y SON SIN FILTRAR, YO E IDO Y ES MUY INTERESANTE ALMORZAR O CENAR Y VER AL MISMO TIEMPO COMO FABRICAN LA CERVEZA EN LA PLANTA QUE ESTA A LA VISTA DE TODOS Y PODER OLER EL AROMA DEL MOSTO, SALUD Y LO RECOMIENDO! 88 /100 Cañas y Tapas (Bar) GRAL BORGOÑO 149 MIRAFLORES I added "Cañas y Tapas" to this site :) |
90 /100 Restaurante Chez Philippe (Restaurant) AV. 2 DE MAYO 748 SAN ISIDRO The place with the widest range of imported beers in Peru |
