KVĚTNA 2789 “Located in a business area of sorts, slightly tricky get to on foot (not the best setup to cross the street at the weird roundabout), but definitely a reason to go to Louny, Zichovec is one of Czechia's hype breweries, with very good reason. Modern, with friendly staff a weird fountain in front of it and a brewery bus (?!), it serves only 6 beers on tap, the classic selection largely, but the selection in the fridge is excellent, with many new and some old specials - and the prices, both for beer on tap and the beer in the fridges are great too. I *think* that the 10° lager (which I finally had in very good shape!) set me back 30-something crowns, wow! If passing by Louny, it's very much worth going down and packing your car with beers IMO. All in all, my visit was short, but this is a place I hope to return to for some event or something, a great brewpub.“ |
| 64 /100 RYBALKOVA 1323 “A brisk uphill walk from the bus station, pretty much on the same street as ZLoun - whose restaurant is closed currently, looking for someone to run it for a better part of a year now. Atmosphere-wise somewhere between the two Most places - slightly old school, slightly pastel-colored, not dark, families visiting (kid-friendly place it seems). The terrace was off limits sadly, being worked on I guess. Friendly, quick service from the lady behind the bar. Two regulars (I think I prefered the dark lager to the pale), two specials (smoked ale and a pale ale calling itself Spring Ale), a bunch of other beers in PETkas. Slightly uneven, but not bad. Yeah, potentially the least attractive of Louny's three breweries, but not bad and, honestly, no reason not to visit it, even as a pit-stop between ZLoun if it ever reopens the restaurant and Zichovec.“ |
| 80 /100 5. KVĚTNA 2789 “The main Zichovec brewery sports a nice, modern taproom adjacent to the brewery itself, that you can have a glimpse at through one of the glass doors. The tap room is modern and inviting, with six beers on tap, reasonably friendly if not very talkative staff, and good prices. Recommended to pop in and grab their current bottle selection from the fridge, if you're passing by. They are the hottest (or one of the hottest) Czech craft beer brands with good reason right now, as both their pilsners and IPA's are world class.“ |
| 34 /100 RYBALKOVA 1323 “I got the impression that despite being the only patron (two others entered after I had my beers) I wasn't welcome here, based on the smirky barmaid. Oh well then, since the interior was rather random and not too inviting, I gladly finished my taster and left. The beers were subpar with the exception of the jedenactka, though the ZLoun brewery down the street makes their pils more convincingly, not to mention the nearby Zichovec brewery. A place just for the ticks, if you ask me.“ |

If the mood is right, this place might suit you. If it isn't - well... You should drop by for their dvanactka at least, which is very good.“ |

This pub is locaded uphill in a living area in Louny, If you go further uphill you will find Lounský Žejdlík that also is wort to pay a visit. Nice place with nice place to sit outside when the wether alows it. The place is small, but nice, music is at the right volume and the service is excelent. 5 own beers on the Tap. Visited 07.10.2015 together with Bryne.“ |

This pub is locaded uphill in a living area in Louny, on your way up hill you also pass Pivo ZLoun that also is wort to pay a visit. The place is a Brewpub with 4 on tap, Nice old place. Beer was good and the service was exelent even though they did not speak english they tried their best with translating tools. The place was a popular place for lunch guest when we where there. The atmosphere was good. Visited 07.10.2015 together with Bryne.“ |

But, friendly service and perfect English spoken. Also an informative beer-brochure on the tables. We had just eaten so we only enjoyed their five beers. ALEnt ZLoun 15° was the best. | 70 /100 RYBALKOVA 1323 “Their beers are called "Pivo Lounský žejdlík" but the restaurant/brewpub is titled "Minipivovar Domov" Well, enough about name confusion. The bus from Praha (Hradcanska) to Louny took about one hour. It was a rainy and hazy day so we didn’t take a tourist stroll downtown Louny. We drifted uphill to the upper brewpub in this quiet residential neighborhood. The brewpub was well attended. Most people were eating lunch and drinking Radegast Birell. Good, they don’t drink and drive! We had a grilled Camenbert type cheese with bacon, garlic dressing, herbal butter and crisped baguette. Yummy! Nice price too: 95 Koruna. Friendly service but not much English spoken. Their Pivní speciály was not easy to figure out. No information in the menu, but on a blackboard by the bar, to the right when you enter. (Brusinkový ležák and První Chmel 13°) The barmaid and the chef did their best to give me information about those two beers. A visit at their website later provided more accurate information. Typical czech restaurant with wooden furniture, copper brewing equipment in the room, nice decoration. Food looked good, but didn’t try. Very friendly and helpful staff, they fill PET bottles on request.“ |
