“Large selection of bottles/cans to takeaway, (although not enough stouts/porters). A few taps on as well to have in teh shop. Can be quite pricy though!“

“From the same stable as RealAle.com in Twickenham and their new place in Golborne Road, this is similar to the Golborne Road (aka Notting Hill branch) but small. It's a bottle shop with a big selection plus several taps and seating inside. Recommended.“

“Amazing that I’d never been here before despite it having been almost on my doorstep for more than 30 years, then I went twice in the space of two weeks. It’s a handsome nineteenth century building with seating outside on the pavement and an impressive interior. The main room, on the right as you enter, can be a bit foody but the public bar on the left is mainly for drinking. Incidentally, Gordon Ramsay famously bought the place a few years ago intending to turn it into a restaurant but sold it again in short order when he realised it was listed and couldn’t be remodelled. The beer choice isn’t exciting or extensive but on both occasions I’ve been there they had well kept Adnam’s Ghost Ship and a Portobello Pale. (Last visited 13 May 2018).“

“Visited on 10th January 2017. Off licence just up the road from Maida Vale station, has a, shelf and a couple of fridges full of beer, some good Brewers in the range such as Beavertown and Magic Rock, whilst there wasn’t anything you probably couldn’t get in other shops the range was pretty good, prices were ok and service decent. Handy place if local and want some good boost juice“

“Visited on 8th January 2017. Single roomed theatre bar next to the canal in Little Venice. Nice pub that has a focus on food too, business was good as people were eating and drinking pre performance. Decor is nice and smart. Beer range is at the better end for the area. A good mix of cask and some Macro Euro keg plus more interesting stuff. Beer was well looked after, prices decent. Service good. A nice venue.“

“Visited on 8th January 2017. 2 roomed locals boozer in the back streets, really nice feel to the place and the little side room is excellent, well knitted out with board games and a fire to keep it toasty. Fairly quiet on our visit and had the room to ourselves. Beer range is not the greatest but what was on was in good nick. Another lovely pub in the area without being a beer destination.“

“Visited on 8th January 2017. Large Youngs pub which is a maze of little areas all sectioned off with low doors and wooden panelling. We picked a seat in the front of the pub, to get to the toilet required a limbo under a low doorway. Really nice interior. The beer range was OK, nothing out of the ordinary but well kept and prices were decent. Good service. Another gem of a pub but not one for a beer geek.“

“Visited on 8th January 2017. Large pub and hotel that has two rooms which are only accessible from the outside. We went for the lounge which looks amazing, the decoration is definitely worth a look, the feel to the place was just lovely. Stopped for a Sunday roast here which was excellent value and gigantic. Beer range is the biggest let down with not an exciting cask range. Service and value solid. Go for a Sunday Roast and marvel at the decor!“

“Visited on 8th January 2017. Modern looking single roomed bar and dining room on the opposite side of the road to the place marker. Quite sparse decor, an odd array of seating and a focus on both food and beer. The crowd in there were a little strange with lots of people just using the wifi and not really buying anything, put us off a lot so had one drink and left. The beer range was the best thing about the place and had a decent line up, prices OK. Too hip and trendy for my sensibilities.“

“The food was pretty good, the beer selection was only okay. Seemed like one of the best spots in the immediate area, and I’m glad we came by. Not a destination, but if you are here anyway stop in for a bite and a brew.“

“Nice, hipsterish local pub. Tasty and reasonably priced food. Friendly service. A few kegs plus what looked to be a wide selection of bottles. A great pub if in the area, although not a beer destination.“

“Decorated from floor to ceiling - nothing has gone undecorated here. Very grand for a pub. Slight smell of disinfectant. Four cask ales on. 6 keg (Amstel, 1664, Guinness etc). Nice place to have a beer, but no interesting beers here.“

“Nice interior - high ceilings, low doors, decorated glass, wood. Youngs on cask and keg - including Youngs Chocolate Stout on keg, which I’ve not seen before. One guest keg. Nice place to visit but not one for the beer geeks.“

“Busy little pub near Little Venice. 3 cask ales - nothing too interesting. Interior is balanced between old and new. Nothing for the beer enthusiast.“

“Nice bar with rustic interiors. There is an interesting selection of English beers on tap, one of the best bars for selection I’ve found in this area so far. Didn’t try the food but the menu looked interesting. Well worth a visit.“

“good looking cosy place in the middle of Little Venice underneath the Canal Cafe Theatre. Good Imaginative food and an eclectic beer list including some boring macros but also some interesting cask alese on the hand pump. Had a very nice evening and would certainly come back if i where living in the vicinity.“

“Happened to visit this by coincidence. Traditional english pub with traditional food. I had a decent meat platter. Service was not that good. Small selection. One of the few pubs in a dry area of the city.“

“A cosy and welcoming traditional pub in a quiet lane off Little Venice. When I lived on a boat in nearby Little Venice many years ago, the Warwick Castle was always one of my favourite locals. It’s a lovely place with traditional décor, wooden floors and an open log fire. There’s a small area at the back with comfy chairs and board games and two side rooms at the front which always used to be quite Spartan but which are now cosy too. It can get busy in here but mainly with locals as it’s quite well hidden from the tourist trail. The beer range isn’t huge but there are four hand pumps and a few bottles. The staff are friendly and welcoming. (Last visited 28 December 2011).“
