“This place was 5 minutes from my flat and seemingly the last bar if you walk directly south from the city centre. There are a few neighbourhood bars but I guess people head into the centre. At around 22:00 on a Monday I was the only customer. Beers on tap are all Hartwall but I did spot some Sonnisaari bottles after I had ordered. Not a great place but wanted to try a local bar out, after having previously been barred from visiting one near my aunts ("They are all thieves and xxxxies."). Walked past it a number of times and it git busier later in the week. By the weekend it all the outside tables were taken by metal dudes. Made the mistake of ordering two small beers so of course got served two small pints, by the not overly interested barman.“

“Centrally located. Many various taps. Jazzy background music. Pubby padded benches, brown wood dominates. Quick attentive service. On tap some finnish macro, urquell, guinness, fullers n thornbridges, two sonnisaaris. Approved place.“

“I put the address "Pikisaarentie 15, Oulu" into googlemap, and saw it was just 1700 metres from my hotel. Very tempting. Acc2google open mo-th 16-22, fr 16-24, sat 14-24. The brewery brews straight easygoing beers. Saturday just before 16 (4pm) I entered the restaurant. Food menu is short but varied. I ordered some pork based dish and a delicious tasty dark beer. Modern interior. Seating in bar room for about forty butts. Old american blues played at my visit.“

“Check to see if this place is opening before visiting. Due to summer opening hours they were not open on a Thursday; and then attending beer festivals and having a bar open at a local music festival meant they were also not open on two other days when I was in Oulu. Walked past the location a few time son route to the shops and onoly spotted the sign the last time before going there. A small corner industrial unit entrance. Cans and bottles in a fridge and some shelves. ABout 20 in total? Some clothing. Friendly staff. Standard basic brewery shop.“

“Funny little place. Walked passed it as I was confusing it with some other bar I had been to in the area previously. A one storey addition in front of a large building. A friend of the family who's into his beer and bars told me it had to be built to a specific gradient... the Oulu gradient... and ended up being called Graali because that sounded better to the owner than Gradient. Wasn't immediately impressed at the basic entrance but headed for a piss straightway and found staff lighting a fire in the pleasent back lounge/snug. Didn't have a massive array of beers but got a couple of ticks. And the guy who I think was the owner later came over to ask me what I thought of the beers. The lack of taps (partly due to the more macro offerings) was made up for by a load of packaged craft, which were in fact laid out on the bar for easy viewing. Again the guy pointed out the locals and fetched one from the fridge as it was the last one they had in stock. Most friendly bar in Oulu, could do with more craft.“

“This place was pretty busy on a sunny Thursday evening. Dropped in before a meal at a nearby restaurant. This seems to be Oulu's mini-Hoxton or suchlike. Also a wine bar and some sort of art gallery, etc. Just their beers on tap. The Mrs had a pre-mixed gin can. Staff helpful... although they had no tonic for the gin they had in bottles. Interesting crowd, including a guy in full Bedouin gear.“

“Visited on a Saturday early evening in August 2023. A centrally located house that felt roomy. The beer selection was ok (I didn't visit the basement) The food was tasty. (Salmon Salad) The staff was friendly although busy with mainly younger guests. “

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon in August 2023. This place is located in Pikisaari around 13 minutes walk from the Market Square. The place is of medium size and with a patio, located in a building from 1869. They had around 12 of their own beers on tap, also some bottles. It's possible to buy a beer flight with 4 beers. The service was friendly and talkative. My uncle used to work in Hailuoto back in the days so it was nice to visit this place. Next time I will visit the brewery in Hailuoto.“

“Visited on a Friday evening in August 2023. A medium sized place with a patio. Not that crowded during my visit. Friendly and fast service. They had 17 beers on tap during my visit, a mix of standard ones and some more interesting beers. Centrally located, not far from other places. (4 minutes walk to Mallaskellari and Oluthuone Leskinen) “

“Visited twice in August 2023, on a Friday evening and Saturday evening. A very popular place with a lot of customers. Both Finnish and International beers on tap. I had my first ever from Naïlo at this place. The service was good. A nice place although very busy. Centrally located, close to "everything" in Oulu. “

“Visited this place twice in August 2023. A popular place with a friendly service. I sat both in the cellar and in the patio. During my visits they only had Finnish beer on tap. (I like that) A flight (Titanikki) cost 12 EUR, 4*15cl. Centrally located, one minute from Oluthuone Leskinen. This is my favourite place in Oulu.“

“Very large bar. Modern chic craft stye decor. Not very busy on either f my two visits. Mainly their beers which suffice if, like me, you.are just after new ticks. Halves are the smallest serving which is less good for ticking. OK.“

“A bar I have been to pre-RB. Wasn't necessarily going to head there but unlike some other places it was open on a Monday evening. Styled as Irish but for me the decor was more US. Not very busy.... but when I have been in on other nights that was not the case. A few craft offerings on tap. Initially missed a couple of Sonnisaari ticks on their chalkboard due to the small writing in dim light. Decent enough in that it's one of the more popular bars but still has some craft.“

“My fave place in Oulu. On a sunny Saturday afternoon the bar was empty. And I had to wait ages to order my second round as there were no staff either. However the range of Finnish micro was great. And I then discovered that everyone else was in fact upstairs in the summer terrace bar. 6 or so more beers on there too - all from Nailo. And a DJ playing IDM. At the point I realised that the staff went downstairs if someone wanted something from that bar. Any despite the wait, a great place. Considered adding the terrace as a seperate venue.“

“Dropped in on a Wednesday which meant that the cellar bar was not open. Therefore not the greatest range of beers available so two ticks for me. Staff seemed short-handed amd rushed. The cafe was very busy and I got what appeared to be the last free table. When people with plates of food then couldn't find somewhere to sit I felt out of place so drank up quickly. Pity I didn't get the chance to go back when cellar was open as I did not see the best of this place.“

“A decent bar for sure. Done up in what to me seems more like a US style with a mixture of seating around tables and also raised booths. However on my first visit it did have an English bar feel due to some English guy sat at the bar who was clearly a regular. An array of local and int micro, plus a few more macro offerings. One cask offering which was cider. They sell enough that some of the Finnish taps had changed on my second visit 6 days later. Not particularly busy on a Monday afternoon. On a Saturday lunchtime the outside tables were rammed and the inside was getting busy. Bar staff were helpful. Also cheapest flight in Finland... 10 Euros for 4 thirds (or whatever they were). Definitely a place to head to in Oulu.“

“Basement bar in the very city center - don't know why it's listed as brewpub? Doesn't seem to brew or have any "own" brews, but it did have a decent selection of Finnish craft beers. Rather cozy and relaxed atmosphere.“

“Just 300 metres south of the Shell Gas Station on Oravitie. Normal K-Supermarket. A handfull of regional beers of interest. Clean shop with good order. Seen 2021. On sundays open from ten.“

“Central location between the other beerspots downtown. Spacious, tables are mostly small, for drinking. But beef available. Many bar stools. Most taps are for Teerenpeli beers. Nice if you want to extend your teerenpelian rating list. Tasting trays for four beers, with paper notes naming the tasters. Friendly staff, and curious eyes on women.“

“Big hypermarket Prisma with big car parking and gasoline and charging automats. Alko here has apprx two hundred beers, so this is the third largest Alko in Oulu. Good ambience and service.“

“Located in a K-Citymarket hypermarket with huge parking outside. Hesburger hamburgers if you are very hungry, starving. Beer range is approximately 100 different. In addition you find beers and ciders up to 5.5% in the hypermarket.“

“Kauppalinnankuja 1-3, translated into Trade Castle Alley. Yes, castle of trade indeed, a Prisma hypermarket with a huge parking lot. Alko is just average in size with 120-140 beers.“

“Location Laakerintie 4 is a K-Citymarket building. Good parking. This is by now the smallest Alko in Oulu with only 60-70 different beers. The big supermarket may be more tempting.“

“It's a cellar, same entrance than BurgerKing. At summer's shiny days they have patio at Rotuaari square. One of the rooms is gaming room, there you can play Nintendo and that kind of thing. Tasting plate is called Titanikki (don't now why) 4 times 15 cl is 12 € if I remember it right. Most of the tap beers are Finnish, there might be one or two foreign beers on tap. No food there. At the cellar there is also escape room -game.“

“Mallaskellari situated underground nearby Leskinen and Hemingway's, same entrance as BurgerKing and downstairs to the right. Mallaskellari opened july/august 2018. Mallas-kellari = malt cellar. Taps 10 + 9. Craftbeers only. Tables of wood. Chairs, benches and alternative. How crowded a saturday afternoon? Not very, if you come early. Not a noisy place. Beers are beautifully colourfully written very beautifully on separate small blackboards, 19 boards. 4x15cl tasters 12€. Helpful staff and cardpay possible. Absolutely a beerspot when in Oulu.“

“Location is in the Sale/Subway-building not KCitymarket 100m away, and not too far from city centre/keskusta of Oulu, just 1km walk. The best is the location next to the row of super- & hypermarkets, Sale n Prisma n KCitymarket. If you need topping your finds at one of these with some beers stronger than 5.5, so very convenient Alko with more than two hundred beers. Second largest beer range of Alko in Oulu. By visiting it september 2023 I even found Lofotpils DIPA for the Würthviking and Blixboden. Very good service.“

“Pub Graali means Pub the Grail. They have long rows of beer and ale. Music is bagpipes, heavy rock n hail. The beertender is a patriotic male. Even Kalevala includes ale. Welcome in here, it can't fail.“

“Classic bothnia city house, very roomy, wooden tables, café chairs. Café opens at 12. Kinda vintage nordic day café look. Modest volume on music in the background, pop. Craft beers on 2/3 of the dozen taps (4 up and 14 taps downstairs). Local bottles in fridges. Superb hamburger. Friendly n smiling staff. Background music is beautiful too. It's all very beautiful. Craftful. After renovation 2020, this place is even better. More rooms up on main floor to choose from. Taprow on main floor extended from 4 to 12. I'll come back with basement soon, as I got a swiss milkstout I need googling information about. And now up from 14 to 16 taps downstairs. I really found specialties down here, again. Recommended!“

“Hands down best place for beers in Oulu. 12 rotating taps, although recently they have become more occupied by the two local breweries. Decent selection of Omnipollo and Pohjala in bottles, others are mostly Alko staples. I hear good things about the food but never tried it myself. Service is above average by Finnish standards. Quiet on weekdays, weekends are pretty packed, there’s a small patio but not sure if you can take drinks outside.“
