“Quick stop in July 2023. Smallish brewpub with around 6 kegs and one cask of their own beers. Friendly, chatty atmosphere and good beer.“

“A nice pleasant bar to go if you like artisanal beers. Also they have a tiny nano brewery on which produce their own "Belgian style" ale. They are also the official tap for Birrificio Artigiano. They have 6 taps all Italian craft beers and lots of hard to find ticks in the fridges, great for beer nerds. The owners are great. Every day as soon as it is open it's full of people. It is basically the most famous pub in Pisa and you'll understand why. Very nice food as well and the staffs are so nice.“

“A tiny place located on the riverside. They have seats at the side of the river to chill while supping a great beer and eating tapas. Inside its very old style and cosy and warm, the prople are very friendly and it has a great vibe. THey have 5 taps and a fridge full of rare Itallian craft beers. I would highly recommend it. NOTE the acctual address is "Via Don Minzoni, 29"“

“A favorite brewery in Pisa and it was wonderful to sit outside on their small patio and enjoy a draft beer and a delicious sandwich. Insideis modern and it a long narrow pub but quite cosy, they serve beer from 6 taps and normally have 3 of their own beers on and 3 different craft beers, with an excellent choice in bottles. Very knowledgeable staff. All of their beers are exceptional and they graciously let you taste what is on tap before you order. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating.Highly recommended.“

“Great bar in the atmospheric old town of Pisa. The brewery's own beers are available on tap, alongside some other Italian craft beers, and a decent bottle/can selection. Highly recommended if you are spending an evening in Pisa.“

“Nice little beershop in the center of the city with some taps rotating. Has a fridge with some decent bottles, and some shelves with italian and international ones. Not the widest selection, but you can find some interesting beers. They offered a chance to have a taster of the Xyauyù Kioke, which was an absolute experience.“

“Excellent paninoteca with great paninis and selection of Italian micros. Very popular with locals so getting a sit might be not so easy. However you can easily grab a beer, panini and get out on the embankment to have it with a nice view over the river. As confirmed by the owners this is not a brewpub, they don't own any outside brewery as well. Though a very good place to go.“

“Very cool place in the city center. This is a tap-room for La Staffetta brewery (as of now - gypsy, starting from April - actual, located out of the city). 4 brews. APA & porter were the best choices for my taste.“

“Pizza place close to the train station. They have a fridge full of bottled beers including some local micros. Prices seem very high, twice as much (€6) as for a draft in the nightlife area. Pizza was decent enough, though the spicy sausage was about as spicy as a ginger snap. An OK place to get lunch with beer on this side of town, where there is nothing else.“

“La Stafetta is a gypsy brewer soon to get it's own brewery in the outskirts of Pisa. The brewer himself, Davide, was behind the bar and the service was excellent. I tried 4 of the 5 beers on display (skipped the wheat) and they were all excellent. Very decent prices“

“This is certainly not a brewpub! It is a restaurant allegdely famous for its paninis. Beer wise there is six taps, four of which has Italian micros. The quality wasn't that high though. Some bottles in the fridge. Fair prices, ok service“

“Some 20 bottles, about half of which are well known Belgians, the other half being Italian micros (Brewfist, Rurale...). This is not a beer place but a cafe/pizzaria/bar. The main thing going for this place is that they are open all day, so it is probably the best place in town until 6PM“

“6 taps and one cask, all from Il Piccolo Birrificio Artigianale. Good beers but nothing out of this world. Selection wise this place has something to wish for. The bartender was super friendly and enthusiastic and the free bruschettas was excellent. Prices are very decent. If this place had a wider selection, it would be the bomb“

“Nestled in the center of Pisa, this is the exclusive pub for nearby Birrificio Artigiano. With a cozy college pub atmosphere and windowed front, it's a fun place to take a break and enjoy a rare Italian-made craft beer. We had pints of two of their six offerings, both average to good. The bar had an array of varied bruschetta for free during the early-by-European standard happy hour (they don't even open until 7pm). Definitely worth a stop for the traveling beer geek.“

“Nice bottle shop/bar in central Pisa. Contacted them via Messenger and had a very helpful conversation with Francesco with whom I sorted out an order of 6 bottles from new to me Italian breweries which he put to one side ready for my wife to then collect when she was in Pisa last week. She loved the place when she then collected them for me!“

“Visited the 4th May 2016 - Good beer place is the centre of the city. Very nice beer selection, huge Italian beer selection with also some nice foreign beers. Price is ok and service is smart and friendly. There are some taps if you want to have a drink. Beers on tap are quiet cheap. A nice place to visit if you are in the area.“

“Decent beer shop located in central Pisa. Selection of Italian beers was nice, but after the other reviews and from other shops I visited I had expected a bit more, but still nice enough to keep you busy for a while. International selection is good too, but nothing too exciting there. On my visit they unfortunatly did not have any italian beers on tap. Tap list consisted of mostly belgian beers, a german micro + 1-2 others. Big plus: very nice and friendly service. Overall nice place if you are in Pisa, but I wouldnt make a detour for it..“

“Really nice beershop, with the possibity to have a drink there... The shop is held by two young and passionate guys and there is a large choice of beers from Italy and everywhere else in the world. There is also a room in the background where you can take a drink while reading some books or magazines about beers...“

“Nice place in central Pisa. Very nice atmosphere and interior. On taps beers made by Birrificio Artigiano. I wasn’t a big fan of them, but overall it was ok. For me lacking a good IPA :)“

“Not really nice place for beer geeks. Looks like a kebab place. Just 1 or 2 beers on tap which might be interesting. The service was quite rude not letting me sit at the table because I didn’t order food. It’s not a fancy restaurant! Not recommended for beer geeks.“

“"Orzobruno" is the tap house of Bientina’s Birrificio Artigiano; the beers are all quite good, and the selection has a small rotation during the year. Food is splendid and the atmosphere makes it one of the warmest pubs in Tuscany.“

“Were it not for the nice (but not extensive) selection of bottles from local and national micro-breweries, Eleven Cafè would not be an address to recommend; the bar is truly generic, small and crowded in the evening. The atmosphere of Piazza Gambacorti (Piazza della Pera for locals) is a bit of a rescue, but only in the warm season: the interior of the bar is a bit squalid.“

“Nice little cafè in the south area, called "Kinzica", VoltaPagina offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks during the day; the evening it is not rare to find readings of poetry or acoustic live music. Some books available for the public in the shelves near the entrance explain the "letterario" part of the name; selection of beer is not very big but has some truly interesting bottles from Italian micros. In any case, a truly nice address for the whole day.“

“The beers from their partner brewery are all good except for the barley wine, which is sweet and unidimensional. But the others (Kinzika, Galileo, and the IPA) are solid with Kinzika being the most characterful. Overall great to finally have a place in Italy where you can have a microbrew in the afternoon! But *do not eat here* The food is abominable. Big mistake even trying it.“

“The "Scarecrow Pub" is one of the most famous and loved bars in the centre of Pisa; fame is not anyway mark of quality, as its 10 taps are mostly industrial ones. Anyway, it keeps a small choice of craft beers in a fridge: take care of the blackboard on the wall.“

“Wooden interiors and somehow atmospheric, but not too clean; the owner is a beer parvenu and the choice is very random: on list some Italian micros, but no good ones, and industrial beers. Food is nice, but basic.“

VIA LUCCHESE 21
“This is truly a wonderful place: just a brief walk outside the walls north from Porta a Lucca a splendid and warm shop/restaurant, kingdom of chef and food expert Daniele; magnificent but simple dishes with top quality ingredients and also a small but good selection of Tuscan microbreweries. A must-visit“

“Famous in town for the huge panini (a full meal), "Il Mediceo" has also three fridges packed of Belgian classics and Italian craft ales; the owner Daniele is a beer-lover and knows his selection very well; in the weekend reservation is recommended as it is very popular among students and locals.“

“Flavio’s Brasserie La Loggia is the true doorway to the town, in the context of the recently renovated Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, the owner prepares delicious dishes for lunch to pair with beer specialties from Birra Amiata (four labels are produced specifically for the place) and some international classics. One of the frew places where you can drink a fine ale in the morning or afternoon.“

“A pretty nice place with tables on the beautiful Piazza: the area gets very crowded during the evening and it’s hard to take a seat. The bar serves Italian craft beers and nice typical food, with panini and dishes; splendid for pre-dinner (opens at 6pm though).“
