“2019-06-28. Nice characterful spot, nice patio outside. Beers all pretty decent. 8 taps. Growlers and cans to go. Mix of seating types, at the long tables they use the same crappy metal chairs that a lot of places have now unfortunately. The beers were enjoyable but arguably outshined by the delicious options of the grilled cheese truck outside! :) The barrel aged beers are interesting but don't quite hit the mark for me.“

“Definitely tied with Quidi Vidi for currently best brewery in NL (especially when you consider QV's newer offerings...not the several more generic styles available all over NL). Great location...in a barn...really great interior and vibe...with outside tables (and a food truck when I visited). I passed by on a Sunday late afternoon...place was busy...stopped by closer to closing...and it was not very full...but after a short time...a bunch more people came in...which given how sort of out of the way this is...is quite impressive. Really nice staff...accommodating, friendly, and talkative. There are 8 taps...but only 7 were active. The Chasing Sun NEIPA was the best by my opinion...with the Horse Chops west coast IPA next. Also very notable and enjoyable was the High Fives foeder-aged kettle sour w/brett. If you are lucky and the grilled cheese truck is on site...don't miss it. This is definitely a place I will revisit on my next trip...to see how they've grown. Meanwhile...make a path here soon (and stay at the simple but nice Sherwood Suites motel...it's in walking distance!)“

“I love impossible places so this one is fabbo. On a distant peninsula in one of those remote parts of North America where craft beer has yet to take root. A young couple decides to open a 5-hl beer plant with a taproom. They make several (6 so far I think) beers of which none are bad and most are good with even greater potential. The locals agree to the extent that they mob the place for the first three months of their existence and now they have to plant roots in the beer business more broadly. This is where Port Rexton brewery is today. I have a feeling that they will make waves in North America’s easternmost and traditionally least beery province. Come here for the source.“
