68 /100 The Red Lion (Doris’s) (Bar) SNARGATE Step back decades when you visit this old pub. Is virtually a museum! |
72 /100 The Red Lion (Doris’s) (Bar) SNARGATE Strange place not particularly welcoming at first but after a couple down you then people see you like ale and are going to stay odd place though but i liked it |
78 /100 The Red Lion (Doris’s) (Bar) SNARGATE Takes a bit of getting to, but worth it to find a really unspoiled pub. Little has changed here for 60 years or more (except the prices). Not particularly welcoming, I guess you’d need to have lived in Kent for at least 80 years to be accepted. Three Goachers, one cider and a guest all the way from Northumberland on my visit. Immaculated kept and gravity dispensed. |
86 /100 The Red Lion (Doris’s) (Bar) SNARGATE My old haunt. I grew up not more that 30mins walk from here. The first encounters with Micro brewed beers away from the family pub. Still run by the same family, since! A real gem. No alterations, and still all beers from gravity. When I get a chance, I always pass by! |
