“Farmhouse cidery outside the small city of St. Aubin. Allthough there was a few boxes with cider bottles standing outside the place, i wasnt alowed to buy any. Talked to 2 elderly women ( talked is a overstatement as their english was as good as my french =non exitant) who after denying me to buy bottles, told me that i could buy them at the cafe in St. Aubin. Its just opposite the church and i went and picked up 2 different bottles there.“

“If you are doing a cidre tour of Normandy and/or Brittany this one needs to be on the short list if not #1. This quaint little white house off the side of the road humbly serves 4.3 level ciders that can rival the best Belgian Geuzes and American sour beers. Resident funky, bright yeast on tropical apple juice creates an experience like no other.

Easy parking in the gravel here. Their opening hours are not online but I assume it is like other cideries which is really whenever you want within reason. People live in the house next door and will just walk into the cider tasting room and gift shop when they hear a car arrive. If it is daylight, chances are you will be able to drop by. They have their two ciders and perry for tasters, but the tasting bottles may be already opened and oxidizing with a wine stopper in it. So don’t go by what the cider tastes like, trust me and stock up as much as you can of their nectar of the gods. They also sell calvados, caramels, apple butter, and various other home goods made with apples. World class family run cider house here. Do not miss. I’m rating this a lot higher than I should because as a ratebeer place, there isn’t much ticking going on, but as a cidery this is the best there is and you will not find their ciders anywhere else.

Visit here during your trip to see Mont St Michel. Directions to the ciderie from Mont St Michel are found here if you don’t have a GPS: http://www.encatalogue.com/cave-mirande/contact/plaquette_cavedemirande.pdf“
