72 /100 Le Birre del Carlino (Bar) VIA SAN DONATO 48A Very small beer bar. Nice welcome by the owner, who's happy to talk to customers. Selection is limited to just TWO beers on tap (plus a homemade gin tonic, on tap as well), craft, plus more beers from the fridge. Nice place, which hopefully could grow in the future.
82 /100 Skjuma - craft beers (Bar) VIA SANTA CHIARA 45 H Nice beer bar in a quiet area of Turin. Nice ambiance, with a funny beer selection wheel, free PS3 and Super Nintendo to play with. Nice set of tables outside near the street. Kind service. Nice beer selection out of the eight lines. Definitely a place to return to!
74 /100 Oro Birra (Bar) CORSO REGINA MARGHERITA 97 Large beer bar/restaurant in a fairly central area of Turin, along a wide road. When I visited (dinner time on a Wednesday), the place was empty and a little sad, with the owner and server looking bored and not knowing what to do. It looks like the place is not well attended. The selection of beers, however, was good, also with very small local breweries. I also had dinner there, eating a nice carbonara (their "crazy carbonara"). Overall, not bad. Hopefully in other times the place is more lively.
80 /100 CORSO REGINA MARGHERITA 108B Small beer bar in fairly central Turin. Owner is passionate about craft beer and happy to discuss it. Small patio outside. Some small food available as well. Selection is nice, though limited to eight lines. Nice place!
76 /100 PIAZZALE VALDO FUSI 1 Nice and large bar of Baladin in the middle of a square in the centre of Turin. The structure is mostly in glass, very nice. Unfortunately I missed their 10-year anniversary celebration by just one day, but everyone was very busy getting everything ready. Service was OK. Selection was probably less wide than usual because of the upcoming festival (with like a hundred lines ready, including an outside part in tents). I'd like to return in a more "business as usual" day.
86 /100 VIA SANT'OTTAVIO 34B Very nice beer bar and pub in the centre of Torino. It was pretty quiet when I visited. Service was very kind, and everyone was happy to discuss the available beers. I was even given a sample without even asking. Selection was mostly Italian, plus two Belgian beers. I also had dinner, with a fantastic burger, accompanied by what was probably the best french fries I have ever had. Overall, a TOP place to go to in Turin!
100 /100 Toccalmatto Torino (Bar) VIA SILVIO PELLICO 1 grande selezione di birre in bottiglia e lattina. 10 spine con tante novità ogni settimana
70 /100 VIA DEI MILLE 20 Visited June 2019. A small place with indoor and outdoor seating. no air conditioning on a very hot day. A selection of onsite and beer to take away. it was quiet mid afternoon and this was a relaxing spot after walking turin.
90 /100 Uovo (Bar) PIAZZA DELLA REPUBBLICA 16/A No beer, sake yes.
90 /100 Oro Birra (Bar) CORSO REGINA MARGHERITA 97 Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lively atmosphere, great layout in a modern style with a mezzanine floor with TV above.
74 /100 Klec Blázna (Bar) VIA SANT’OTTAVIO 37 fgr
74 /100 VIA DEI MILLE 20 A quaint little spot that services a patio in the park. Service was pretty good, I was lucky enough to get a waitress who spoke english quite well. Selection is solid and food was decent as well. THEY DO FLIGHTS - just ask because I didn't and after sloughing through 4 glasses they suggested it. Prices are fair and even really good if you get the flight. Beer wasn't that great though.
62 /100 Eataly Torino Lagrange (Grocery Store) VIA LAGRANGE 3 Smaller and less exciting than some of the others. Small beer selection which is mostly Baladin and a few others. Food is OK, but in Turin food is good and pretty well priced everywhere so not as well priced in comparison. If you want some bottles to go in the day not a bad stop, but no real reason to revisit.
68 /100 Eataly Torino Lingotto (Grocery Store) VIA NIZZA 230/14 A good sized Eataly with a maze of sections and floors. Service in beer was as usual non existent, although they were happy to just sit and watch me. Selection was surprisingly good with some good lambic and even a solid cider selection. They do have taps, but they are only available at certain times. Prices are fair.
74 /100 PIAZELLE VALDO FUSI Sadly I came to the home of Baladin with expectations much too high. Roma has flights and a much larger selection. Surprisingly no flights and they didn’t even know or care that Rome did them. Makes ticking hard. Also less of an interesting selection which really sunk my heart. Service was OK, not as nice as I have been spoiled with. Maybe an unfair poor rating, but the dissapointment runs deep.
68 /100 Petit Baladin Torino (Restaurant) VIA SALUZZO 21 Little spot that is more like a local than the others. No flights and most basic of beer menu. Not really worth the ticks considering the larger one is so close.
76 /100 Bici&Birra (Bar) CORSO REGINA MARGHERITA 108 Unassuming and chilled out. Almost a cafe atmosphere. 8 taps, each with a different style. Each little shelf has a range of beers from a different Italian artisan brewer. All the beer is Italian craft. I really liked that about it. The 'bike & beer' aspect isn't overplayed or gimmicky. Staff are lovely.
74 /100 Petit Baladin Torino (Restaurant) VIA SALUZZO 21 More of a restaurant focus than an out-and-out beer one. But you can still come in and drink and feel comfortable. Far smaller range of beers, but 4/5 taps cover a decent spectrum of styles. Small place, intimate dimensions, concise range of beer. But that's what its aiming to be - and it does it pretty well.
84 /100 PIAZELLE VALDO FUSI Big, airy space, hip/chilled out vibe. The range of beer styles is strong - porters, cask, smoked, as well as lagers, PA/IPA and ambers. Emphasis is very much on Baladin and other Italian breweries. Pretty much everything is €5 for a schooner. Not bad at all.
72 /100 PIAZELLE VALDO FUSI Nice place in the center of Turin. Nice selection of Baladin and guests breweries beers.
82 /100 VIA PRINCIPESSA CLOTILDE 98/E I originally walked in through the unlocked door but there were no lights and no one. I rang the bell at the door a few times and then decided to walk next door where I could here folks talking. Michele greeted me as the owner and took me inside. Though he spoke about 150 English words and I spoke about the same Italian, I spent three great hours having broken conversation with a most hospitable man. Up front are withered pepper plants which he uses the dried peppers to infuse olive oil. The beers are in the basement; there are no taps so he simply pulled plugs on barrels for me to sample the wares. All beers were quite good, definitely sour with cobweb notes. While enjoying the beers he cut slices of artisan salami and showed me around the shop. Definitely worth my visit as probably the most interesting brewery visit I have had. Michele is so passionate and inviting, and did not let our language barrier deter my visit.
72 /100 Klec Blázna (Bar) VIA SANT’OTTAVIO 37 Nice, quaint Czech/Eastern Europe restaurant and bar in central Torino. They offer beers brewed by Malastrana; good quality Czech beers. Great service and they had a rock/blues playlist going which I enjoyed. Good Eastern European food and service.
64 /100 Eataly Torino Lagrange (Grocery Store) VIA LAGRANGE 3 Meh, a grocery store and cafe with a small Italian beer selection. The beer is located in the basement and is almost exclusively Italian micros with a macro or two for good measure. I have eaten here twice and the food is good, both time on the main level for a quick meal. The beer selection is rather small.
| 72 /100 VIA DEI MILLE 20 Located on a corner at Giardini Balbo, this quaint brewpub offers indoor seating and pleasant outdoor seating across the street on a lush green lawn. Inside there are 4 bar stools, fairly uncomfortable and two rooms of tables.
Initially I enjoyed prompt service but as I finished my second 25 cl beer and eggplant parmigiana I noticed a stark decline in my service, with the folks on the lawn keeping the 3 servers attention. I packed up and moved to the bar to continue sampling their house brewed beer and the guest taps.
On the way out I grabbed 3 33 cl bottles for the hotel, ensuring I tried all of this brewer’s available beers. My food was pretty good and makes me want to slap anyone who ever subjects eggplant parmigiana to bread crumbs - this dish is superb without demeaning it with such. The table bread however left much to be desired, especially considering the wonderful bread found all over this peninsula.
I will return and I want to score this higher, but there was only 1 house tap flowing and a further 3 bottles. The service could be improved; I was not the only one sitting inside who went mostly ignored. |
72 /100 VIA DURANDI 13 Nice Brewpub, soo quietly and different kinds of beers ( german style with american influence). Big menù and a good hamburgers. Fast and friendly staff.
80 /100 VIA DEI MILLE 20 Very nice location especially with good weather when you can relax and drinking beer just on the beautiful gardens ..when we were there 4/5 of the their own beers were on with the helles and the American pils pretty good .. the owners were very nice with us and we shared the dinner with them ... the food is amazing with an extensive menu .. very nice place indeed
96 /100 Tripel B (Beer Store) VIA VALPRATO 68 One of the most beautiful beer shop that i’ve ever seen, very good selection of beers and the owner is a very nice person.
88 /100 PIAZELLE VALDO FUSI Very nice place. Good selection of Italian beers.
| 82 /100 PIAZELLE VALDO FUSI Quite big place in an awesome location in central Turin. Was crowded on a friday night but got a seat anyway. Great selection of italian craft beers on tap, several Baladin and many others, didn’t look at bottles. Price is 4.50€ each for a 0.3L glass. Food seems nice, i just had a burger, was good.
|
84 /100 PIAZELLE VALDO FUSI Visited the last day of " salone del gusto " ... Very impressive place with a long bar with 38 taps.. Service was more than good .. No complain for the selection with some of my favourite italian brews on.. We did not try food even because we came here around midnight..the only thing i did not enjoy is the size of the glasses but unfortanately is a measure quite popular in italy ... very cool place
