Falcon (Restaurant)
WARWICK ROAD
“This is a roadside pub, seemingly in the middle of nowhere but with quite a fascinating history as to why it is there. The road it is on used to be the main link between London and Birmingham and was thus turnpiked, what is now a garage opposite the pub was the turnpike cottage. The pub is at the top of a steep rise, which is part of the Edge Hill escarpment, this whole area being held by the Kings Men during that famous battle, this particular part being Warmington Hill. It was a particularly steep pull during coaching times and extra horses were stabled here to assist in heaving up the hill. The Inn was then called the Hare & Hounds, subsequently changing to The Wobbly Wheel sometime in the 1970's during an upgrade. It has been extensively added to, so much so that it is difficult to trace the original parts of the building now. A typical Brunning & Price restaurant carrying a pretty standard range of beers currently, friendly enough with excellent staff and good food.“

Plough (Bar)
CHURCH HILL
“The Plough is in a perfect rural village, it is friendly and well run. The beer range is fairly standard but usually augmented by an interesting Guest beer. There are low beams, a pub fire and a well stocked bar. A very enjoyable experience.“
