Systembolaget Ystad (Beer Store)
“Only beer store in Ystad. Poor selection compared to similar stores in Stockholm but the do have local beers which are bad. Beggar outside seems to be permanent feature. Not a good place. Don’t come to Ystad for beer.“

“Nice rustic brewpub close to centre of Ystad. Only 4 of their own beers on tap. No guests, couldn’t see any bottles. Reasonable service. Be warned the beer is really bad.“

“AW on a Friday with "färsköl". Very ambient place, both upper/lower floors and the beer garden. Great service, beer selection a bit limited, but for this type of a brew pub good enough.“

“Nice and relaxing place, especially in the backyard on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Their own beers are really not worth traveling for,but they stock some decent German and Czech beers on tap and a few American ones on bottle. At my stay five of their own beers were on, including a low alcohol brew and a half-and-half of ljus and mörk. Little to complain about concerning the service. Ystad is beautiful old town, and beer hunters should know that Systembolaget Ystad keeps local beers for sale (visited, 31.07.2010).“

“OK. The beer here sucks. It’s completely horrible. My mom asked me what I would give the beer here on Ratebeer. I told here around a 2. She then screamed What! I would give this a zero. Seriously terrible beer and expensive. Getting past that, this place is very nice and rustic, with a nice courtyard. The staff were great and the food, OMFG the food, was out of this world. That said, we all just had the most expensive fish soup of our lives (about $24 for a main dish), but we didn’t think it was overpriced for the best soup/fish soup in the world. Seriously, it is completely amazing how good the fish soup is. The food in Europe is great, but this fish soup stands on its own. More than highly recommend, I recommend you fly across the world just to try the soup, but not the beer.“

“Was here in the summer. Set in the pretty little town of Ystad, the beer garden was a pretty sight on a sunny day. Beers were limited, but pretty decent. You can wonder inside and check out the brewery which is ok. Food looked good, but was pricy. Slightly better than your average pub. Staff knew little and it seemed to be ran as more a steakhouse than a brewery.“

“In this small town on the South coast of Sweden we encounter this tiny brewery, never famous for its beers; nevertheless the place is wonderful: in the middle of a very nice town, situated in a central street with almost no traffic, with an architecture like something 300 years old, with a smell of fire and smoke... and if you are lucky to seat in the court in a sunny day... The food available is quite good (steakhouse); they have 2 of their beers plus 2 Czech beers on tap, some of their beers in the bottle and some German as well (I can’t remember which ones, but they are not usually available in Sweden).“
