78 /100 Keys Ferry Texaco (Grocery Store) 3710 KEYS FERRY RD Yes, this is a gas station, but I have never seen a gas station stocked like this. There is a respectable unrefrigerated shelf, a cooler case that's the size of the normal "good" gas station craft beer selection, plus an entire separate walk in cooler room with more entirely dedicated to craft beer. This is all separate from the normal BMC section, which is significantly smaller. It's also clear that the buyer for this store puts some effort into curating their stock with a wide variety from styles and a heavy focus on the local breweries. This is better than any typical liquor store selection and is only surpassed by the dedicated craft beer stores and liquor stores that intentionally cater to craft beer buyers.
It's not worth going out of your way to visit, but if you're like me and live in the Ola area of Henry County, it'll keep you from driving into Conyers or McDonough for beer. |
82 /100 Taco Mac - McDonough (Restaurant) 1300 HWY 20 WEST This is a really new location, so I’ve had a few issues, but it’s a Taco Mac. The wings are incredible, the beer list us huge, and eventually the bar staff will know what they’re doing.
Seriously, the wings are good. |
86 /100 15th Street Pizza & Pub (Restaurant) 2130 JODECO RD I am a little bias here as this is my go to spot cause its right down the road from me. They always have a great selection of draft beers(30 taps) and bottles and get new stuff to try all the time. Food is really good and I have had everything on the menu. Would suggest trying the "wine and cheese" Pizza. |
64 /100 Three Dollar Cafe (Restaurant) 1000 REGENCY PLAZA BLVD Best....perhaps only place in McDonough that has a selection of craft beers. Not a large selection, but not bad either. Typical bar food, nachos, fries, wings, etc. Sports bar feel, service was good but nothing special. I would go back but mostly due to lack of better options. |
