88 /100 LANDS END FARM, MUDGLEY,
“loved by joe strummer and lots of other earthy stars that have decamped to the west country. great ambience, its nearly impossible to not join in and stay far to long! dry or sweet cider on offer or med(mix of the two) left foot wellies in a big pile and plenty of tractor parts. ciders free as long as you buy some to take away or some great local cheese.“

92 /100 LANDS END FARM, MUDGLEY,
“We were in the Wells area for a wedding and felt the strong urge to go visit a proper cider farm. Wilkin’s is the absolutely epitome of such a place. It is located deep in the Somerset countryside, yet is only about 20 minutes’ drive west of Wells. It would be easy to miss the turn-off had it not been for a very weathered hand-written sign right underneath the turn-off for Mudgley. The farm is a collection of old buildings of wood and corrugated Iron construction. We were greeted by a friendly weather-beaten, cider-consuming chap who turned out to be the one and only Roger Wilkin’s. He showed us indoors to slightly dilapidated building were delicious traditional cider flows aplenty. He pours his cider direct from large wooden barrels in the form of dry and sweet. If you want medium he will blend it right there on the spot. Cider consumption on-site was actually free! Proper bonkers. I found the cider to be of exceptional quality and I have had nothing like it to date. We chatted with Roger for quite some time and he was full of rather interesting stories about his past and the history of cider making. Cider is available for takeaway in containers from 2 litres all the way up to polypins. Impressive value. Truly an exceptional place and if you are a fan of cider I implore you to visit.“

“This is the cider farm visited by Jamie Oliver. When we got there we were unsure who was running the place and who was there just drinking or working. We were soon greeted by Roger Wilkins who is a top bloke. Cider is free when drunk on site and you just help yourself. I’ve never been to a place like it and would certainly go again“
