“New rating, 22/10/18: the guy who did a great job at the now defunct West Byfleet branch has now moved here. A smaller range still but he can now order from various wholesalers so they have a whole array of craft, including various breweries I'd not had before, as well as Cloudwater, The Kernel and other big hitters. More real ale than he stocked at WB and a few German and Belgian options. But a welcome development after the closure of WB and Inn At Home in Guildford. //Dropped in to see how it compared with my local branch in West Byfleet. Similar decor but a smaller unit so more cramped. The old guy was certainly very pleasant and old-school. However less keen than the young guys at WB. Although he completely missed my hilarious joke about telling my wife I’d only buy one bottle, hence the can as well. Fewer beers than WB, however a slightly different range. More real ale but also a few crafty options I don’t remember seeing at WB. WB told me they couldn’t get local beers but this place had 6 or so Little Beer Co bottles/cans. Certainly worth dropping in if in the area.“

“Visited around 21.40 on Friday evening, 05/04/13. I did try and pop in here once before around 20.30 but it was closed, but this was during the Xmas period, so not sure of the hours. Greeted by a friendly old buffer in a tweed jacket, akin to a British comedy pub landlord charecter, well spoken and amiable. " The Sharps beers are very popular in the summer sir ", was one of his pitches ! I didn’t have time to do a full scan of the stock and focussed solely on the real ale shelves which amounted to 30 or 40 different bottles. Good local selection with 8 or 9 Hogs Back offerings, plus Surrey Hills. Plenty of your regional large micros also. Various offers on the real ale bottles, 4 for £7.69 and the likes. Not a go to destination by any means but my sister in law lives opposite so popping in is no hardship.“
