New Inn (Bar)
“One of three pubs that constitute the Garvey Taverns empire so far. Like its sister pubs there’s a good focus on rotating real ale and three of the four choices are guests, and in its own frame on a wall across from the bar was the pump clips for the next 9 to soon feature - seasonals and specials included. This pub is on the Keighley side of Denholme, the small hillside town you pass through if you’re on the main road between Halifax and Keighley, and there’s half a dozen spaces for cars available so it’s worth a stop if you’re driving by. The horseshoe bar is in the middle of the left hand wall with cosy seating areas in both corners, with a working fireplace in the back wall. To the right of the central entrance is a larger seating area, again with a fireplace in the middle of the wall. It’s soft furnished in traditional pub attire throughout and a comfortable place to sip, and cheap too.“
