“Small cosy pub on Alcester High Street. Stone flagged floors, traditionally furnished, standing room only on most of our visits. Some beers from local breweries and some from further away, nothing really unique unfortunately but in good condition.“

“Modernised Market pub in the centre of Alcester on the main shopping street. Bright and open with plenty of places to sit. Popular with diners during the lunch period. Beer from mostly national suppliers but with a local pump too. Part of a trio pub walk in Alcester.“

“This pub serves well kept beer but it lets itself down by a poor choice of beers which look like they have been chosen on price rather than quality, hence we have mediocrities from the likes of Ruddles, Adnams,Thwaites etc rather than the much higher quality micro breweries available these days. The beer is too cold too which is a shame as its got no serious competition on the real ale front in the town and it should therefore be a cracking pub.“

“Very characterful old place with lots of exposed timber beams. Rotating choices of real ales on handpull, and good bottle selection. Nothing to eat.“

“One of two nice brew pubs in Alcester. Always had a nice rotation of cask ales from local & regional micros. Very nice food and menu improved over time I lived nearby. Fun beer festival and great place to hear folk music. Is dog friendly.“
