80 /100 Scott Arms (Bar) 10 NEWTON ROAD Newly decorated wide selection food and drinks. Bright and welcoming sited on shopping precinct |
60 /100 Arthur Robertson (JDW) (Bar) WALSALL ROAD Very large Spoons, in the middle of unattractive Perry Barr. A very weird spot indeed, but next to a shopping centre and university so it makes sense. Consequently the clientele are a bit erm mixed - some students and lots of toothless lunatics. The handpull range is quite large and it’s a big place. Surely worth a look in the area. |
64 /100 Arthur Robertson (JDW) (Bar) WALSALL ROAD Situated on the outside of a shopping centre, so not affected by its opening and closing times this is also a busy place given the urban sprawl in this area. It’s an open plan Wetherspoon with the odd area partitioned by a bookshelf, and a large one that can cater for many families during the daytime and seasoned drinkers thereafter. It’s decorated well, slightly more modern than the traditional original look for this chain and there is small area outside where you can watch the shoppers wait for their bus home. Two rows of ales pumps. |
