“It's a typical Wetherspoons in a building that dates back to 1608, though re-modelled in the mid 1700s. Cheaply made beer, cheaply produced food.. a bit depressing. The kind of place that makes you question the purpose of ticking as you're sipping a bland bitter from a new brewery with a poorly designed rugby pump clip. You can at least admire the building though.“

“Small but well-stocked box shop offy. Along the right side was half wine / half cider. Along the left was real ale and a decent selection of craft cans, and wild sours. A double fridge to the immediate right of the entrance with chilled offerings. Under the till counter was some cheap battery acid cider, which the owner was quaffing on our visit. If it's regional beer you seek, then this is a great place to stop. Excellent prices, with a good selection from the area and further afield. Located right next door to the Real Ale Tavern.“

“Hard to believe this was opened as recently as 2017, definitely feels like it's always been here. A Black Country Ales pub in downtown Bewdley, sandwiched between Tippler's beer shop and Wetherspoons, that has a surprisingly long line-up of cask lines running the length of the bar, though typically all cheaply made within the classical style range, including a couple of stouts. Some Belgian beers in the fridge for those that need them. We found a couple of sofas to relax. Nice vault door towards the back, a remnant from the building's old bank days. Comfortable place, and has an actual jukebox that brought a bit of life to the room with some 90s pop classics.“

“Visited 11/2/2019. Really seems like a traditional pub and not at all like a recent conversion from a bank. Good selection of 12 cask ales from a long single bar. Very friendly service. Cosy environment. My favourite place in Bewdley and one of my favourites on this trip.“

“Visited 11/2/2019. Compact shop with a decent selection of local ales and others from further afield, albeit it was local stuff I was interested in. Came away with a dozen or so though could have got more. Chap who runs the shop very unassuming. Prices are reasonable. Opening hours very erratic compared to what’s advertised. Good to see a shop such as this in a relatively small town.“

“Visited 11/2/2019. Quite a large JDW, number 6 on the tour. We had our evening meal here which was fine. Beer range a little limited. Offers everything else a JDW offers.“

“Visited 11/2/2019. Nice comfortable pub a little out of the town centre, close to our guest house (and the Severn Valley railway if you’re there for that). Reasonable selection of local ales available. Couple of real fires kept the place nice and warm. Parking at rear (which Bewdley isn’t awash with). Friendly service.“

“A cozy pub close to the river. They have a good selection of cask ales, although there were none from Worcestershire at our visit, but they did have a few of their own on. We had three beers and all were in good condition.“

“This little beer store has a good selection of mainly local beer and cider. A good place to stock up on Worcestershire ticks.“

“We had a quick meal in this standard JDW, but sadly there were no new beers for us, so we got a couple of repeats instead, and they were both in good condition. Otherwise not a bad place.“

“This seems to be a very local pub in terms of visitors. They had four local cask beers on at our visit, which is always nice to see. We sat right next to the cozy fireplace.“

“I was la little disappointed with this brewery tap. Comfy enough room with friendly staff but the choice for a brewery tap was very poor with only 2 cask ales available. We enjoyed the Rye Challenger then tried the draft Decennium which was good at 10%.“

“Friendly comfortable pub with 5 ales available with three from the local Bewdley brewery. We chose 2857 and the Jubilee Ale which were fine, although I found it strange that although there is a proper pumpclip on a handpull for the Jubilee Ale, they make it up by mixing Bewdley 2857 and Bewdley Worcestershire Sway in your glass.“

“Friendly riverside pub with 5 ales available. Seating outside by the river front and a garden to the rear. 2 Bewdley beers plus Wye Valley HPA , Taylor Landlord, Purity Mad Goose. I chose the Bewdley Worcestershire Way which was good.“

“This is a Black Country Ales pub with the usual comfortable seating layout and good ale choice from guest beers as well as their own beers. We chose Newark Pale Gold, Tollgate Red Storm and Magpie Cherry Raven and all were good. This is another one of their conversions from a bank building and wandering from one area to another you come across the old bank vault door.“

“Called in for a late breakfast and enjoyed both the food and the beer. Better selection than most due to the beer festival being current, and our choices were Cotleigh Styrian Wolf, Robinsons Freddy Brewger, and Roosters Twenty Four Seven.“

“Excellent little bottle shop on the town's main street. Can be hard to find, as it doesn't stand out. Selection is mainly local beers, but with the odd ones from further afield as well. A very good range considering the small amount of space. Beers take up one wall, plus a few "overspills". Shop alsos sells wine, cider etc. Very good value as well“

“For me the nicest pub in Bewdley, snuck away down the old high street not far from the brewery but not selling their beers, bizarrely. Lots of nook and crannies, no two bits of the pub the same. Usual limited ambition beer range.“

“The best pub for beer in Bewdley that we found. Nothing special - just 5 cask ales that were all in the 3.8-4.5% ABV sweetish, softish, light coloured Midlands mode - even the "import" from another part of the country. A nice leather-setteed snug a small riverside terrace at the front and a garden at the back. Good enough small restaurant.“

“Visited on a Saturday night in August 2015. Walking in the place had some nice empty tables so thinking it was quiet carried on. It seems the entire local population of 18-25 year old men were at the bar. Decent range of ales at Spoons prices. Would go back again and try it as looked like a decent place just it was too rammed to bother.“

“Visited on Saturday evening in August 2015, This is a nice riverside pub right next to the bridge over the Severn. Tables outside and a well done nautical theme inside it looks good. Only 2 handpulls from the Marstons range available plus a few lagers. £5 for a Birra Moretti is a bit steep to be honest. It’s a nice place to sit but if it’s ticks you’re after and you don’t want a second mortgage then don’t bother.“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon in August 2015. Situated on the main road through town this is handily placed for a stock up. It’s got a great range of local beers along one wall. The vast majority are local from Shropshire and Worcestershire with pretty much all the breweries represented. Staff seemed friendly, shop is nicely laid out. If you’re after some new breweries from the locality it’s worth a look in but a bit of a trek to get to otherwise.“

“Visited several times over a weekend in August 2015. Stayed in the pub which was pretty decent, breakfast was excellent. The pub is situated on the river front, loads of tables outside to enjoy a beer in the sunshine and watch the ducks do their thing. Beer range is OK with mostly local beers and Landlord on, all decent and prices not too bad for a tourist hotspot. Service was efficient as the pub was busy. Nice place to visit and it’s got some nice inside spaces too.“

“Tucked away along the High St in Bewdley, this is a locals pub and is a just a little way away from the river. It’s geared up for food too with Desperate Dan Cow pies being the staple. Did eat there and the food was good. Beers focus on local Shropshire and Worcestershire beers, 2 Hobsons and a Three Tuns on when visited plus Leffe and Hoegaarden. Well kept and decent prices. Staff were friendly. It’s a nice place and worth a look if in the town.“

“Stayed here for a drinking weekend and drank within on other occasions. Lovely old coaching house hotel with a tastefully restored ground floor offering all that Wetherspoon places do well. Always a good selection of cask ales available and friendly staff, usually enough, which is rare for Wetherspoons as most of you know. One of my favourite Spoons.“

“Great little shop hiding behind a bus shelter in the centre of Bewdley. Good selection of local, British and foreign bottles: often rare for the area too. Used it twice and will use again. Friendly if quiet chap fronting it on both my visits.“

“As the name suggests this is pub and accommodation in one from the Wetherspoon chain. The pub itself covers the ground floor and is set in a number of defined areas including cosy area looking out onto the main street and a conservatory area at its side. Given the draw of Bewdley this place can be an extremely busy place, especially as the cheap food on offer is very popular. If you just want real ales then there’s no shortage of choice here.“
