“Last visit on July 25th 2011. Just opposite the HBF - you can literally walk it in a minute! One large room with plenty of benches and a decent amount of seating outside. 4 or 5 beers from the Damfbierbrauerei - all decent enough. Service always good here - we had an American guy serving us last time! All of my visits here have been in July/August time in the early evening and as such the place has always been fairly busy with a great vibe running through the joint - mix of families dining and groups of 20/30 somethings out for a few beers. One of my favourite brewpubs in Deutschland.“

“nice brewpub in the centre of Oberstdorf. Nicely decorated inside, cosy biergarten. Huge menu with both hearty Bavarian food and lighter dishes (good salad). The food was very good, staff very friendly and helpful. If you’re in Oberstdorf or nearby this is a must!“

“Visited the day before they closed down for vacation. Good beers and the food looked good. Didn’t have it, though. Affordable prices. Friendly service and take away sale for bottles. Recommended for a visit.“

“After reading the rating from shrubber85 I decided to take a trip down out of the Apls and have a look. A trip well choosen. I large place with great food. And yes I can say the Haxen and cheese noddles were fantastic. The staff was great with us even with two dogs.“

“Brewpub right next to the train station - simple to find with parking lot a short distance away. Despite being there during the England-Germany World cup game, we had good service. Excellent food (had spectacular Haxen over cheese spatzle). Beer is excellent - nice village surrounded by the Alps and away from the main tourist routes. Definitely worth a side trip.“
