| 70 /100 HETZELSDORF NR. 19 “We stopped by unannounced one summer day and found the brewer deep inside in the building cleaning equipment. He brought us into the cool room where we selected some bottles and then he left us outside on the patio while we did our notes. The beer quality was unfortunately poor, which was especially disappointing given how fresh and cared-for these bottles were, and because the brewer was so darn hospitable. I can’t say anything about the gastette or the kitchen, but the charming village and the friendliness of the brewer were well appreciated. I would like to revisit if I’m passing through again, crossing my fingers for a better beer experience.“ |

Basic village pub ambiance, lots of stuffed dead animals on the walls, a grandfather clock, a steinkrug collection. On CO2 from keg is the Vollbier Dunkles, with either the Festbier or Zwickel available in bottle depending on season.“ |

The yard was used as a big beer garden, with lots of tables. The amosphere was great, and the staff was very serviceminded and friendly. We had 3 of their beers, all nice and in good condition, so could be very temptet to go back in october to have their bockbier :-) They do traditionel food as well.“ |
| 72 /100 EGLOFFSTEINER STRASSE 19 “Visited on a wet afternoon on 20/07/2012 after a long walk over the hills from Buttenheim. I sat under cover in the courtyard, enjoying three of the brewery’s beers and a good Schnitzel. The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere lively. Worth a visit.“ |

It seems many other people now know about it and it has gotten a good reputation. Rightly so: good beers and good food. Two regular beers: Helles Zwickl-bier and amber-colored Lagerbier, plus seasonals, like a very good Rauchbier. It is a 5 minute walk from the Pretzfeld stop on the line Forchheim - Ebermannstadt.“ |
| 76 /100 EGLOFFSTEINER STRASSE 19 “Even though this brewery is new, it feels like it’s being in the business for a long time. The huge barn on the side sure helps, but the beers are also top notch. Their unfiltered Helles was excellent, as was their Michala Dunkel. They now serve a third brew from the tap as well. This place also has by far the best schnitzel I’ve ever had. Rekindled my interest for the dish, actually. All in all, a truly wonderful newcomer to the Franconian brewery scene. Great!“ |

Both beers are also available in bottles. Deserves a visit!“ |

Simple, light tap-room and a nice tiny beergarden - bordered by hedges - on the second side of a little lane. Their excellent Zwickl is served only here. Worth a detour!“ |
