“We visited here Thursday 27th October 2022. This is a large Gasthof in a very nice area, it's a short drive from here to the Aussichtsturm am Brotjacklriegel (observation deck) which is about 1000m above see level. The village of Schöfweg itself is in an elevated position at 770m. We also decided to eat here and the Schnitzel that Loz had was enormous and at €13.80 excellent value, I had Pork Steaks in a Pepper sauce with Potato Croquettes this was also very good. There were 3 or 4 beers from Lowenbrau Passau, 1 from Brandy Bräu which is from Wallersdorf this was a guest bottle and interestingly a different one from the one listed, so I suspect that get some from these guys fairly regularly, and finally the Bayer Weizen where that's brewed I am unsure. We liked it here, it was a nice place, excellent value, great service, a good mix of locals and people passing by and eating here, nice, really friendly and happy for us to park our camper out the back which was a real bonus.“
