“Right across the street from Jeremiah Johnson. Great tap list, though nothing is available in flights. They'll give some tasters though. Lots of West Coast IPA fare. I had the Thai wings, which were decent. Service just OK. Philly sports bar type decor.“

“Last stop on the way out of town. What a selection! Well curated and organized slection of regional and local craft, macros and imports. If you're trying to round up some elusive local beers, this would be the place to check. They were running some taps and have a little bar at the back, but it was closed when we were there. Must stop if in CdA.“

“Maybe this was once a good spot, but now the beer selection is embarrassingly bad. It's a drive-through store, but you can park and walk in. Simply put, do not bother coming here.“

“Strip mall setting, featuring the normal GG set up. Large TVs near the door, as well as some more casual seating. Kind of quiet, and we were there on the weekend. Good tap selection. Small menu available.“

“Pretty cool sports bar. Walls were covered with memorabilia and rafters had lots of old bar taps hanging from them. Came with my family on vacation, so very kid friendly. On a busy night our server was friendly and efficient but not very knowledgeable about beer. Prices were decent and the food was good. Beer selection was pretty good. They had a wall full of taps, I’m guessing in the 40-50 range. Overall worth a stop, we enjoyed ourselves.“

“Fun place to visit while in Coeur d’Alene. Nice people...decent enough taproom if smaller and simple. There were 6 beers on tap when I visited last week...blonde, session IPA, porter, amber, fresh hop IPA, IIPA. My favorites were the IPA’s...but the porter was good too. If in town definitely worth a stop...and not far from I90 (hit Daft Badger too).“

“This place is improving but you’re going to have to stop using the very strongly perfumed Formula 409 cleaner for wiping the bar and table tops. Folks tuned in to quality beer are going to find the offensively scented taproom undesirable and not come back.“

“A decent-sized independent with some great features. First, the beer section rep Lee provided some of the best service I’ve ever received. He guided me through some locals and harder to find beers. I spent way more than I wanted to so I guess he did a good job? The prices seemed fair. We also picked up some fancy organic produce in the market side and my wife enjoyed their coffee.“

“Pilgrims is a natural food market with an extensive beer and wine selection. Their bottle selection is largely devoted to 12 oz bottles of craft and imported beers. They also have a somewhat small (but good) selection of bombers and 750s. When I want to get a bunch of good beers for a good price, I go to Pilgrim’s. If it’s bigger bottles I’m looking for, I go to Enoteca. Both are great!

Since my initial review, their large format bottle section has increased in size and they now offer beers on tap for growler fills. Lee is super knowledgeable about beer and Sarah knows her wines. This place just keeps getting better.“

“It is a health food super market, with a massive selection of beer, and wine. They have all selections, IPA’s, sours, stouts, meads, you name it. Service is excellent, there always seems to be someone there to ask you if you need any help, and very knowledgeable, which is rare, i almost always know more about the beer than the person i am asking, but not here. Free tastings, growlers, love this place!“

“This is a real nice upscale/organic/etc market. Very much a local joint in the vein of Whole Foods. The beer selection is really solid. A large single section with cans, bottles, large format singles, four packs, sixes, etc. They also have four taps for growler fills. The selection has quite a few Idaho brewers and is filled out by PNW brewers. The employee I interacted with was rather knowledgeable and friendly. The singles are generally sorted by style with markers letting you know where each section starts. My wife enjoyed the rather large cider section. A really solid store and would come back if I were a local.“

“Well, this is a great restaurant destination, but really not a beer destination. Can’t really speak to the bottle list, as I don’t order bottles in restaurants (the mark-up is ridiculous). The draught list was disappointing in length, though decent in diversity. Only four taps, though they do maintain enough diversity so that there is a mix of styles. Food was great; beer was decent, just not enough choice.“

“My wife and I stopped in Coeur d’Alene on our way from Glacier to Spokane and ended up here. The atmosphere is so friendly; seriously the nicest people from wall to wall. The walls are covered in beer kitsch and they get crowded despite "More Taps Than Tables." Lots of Idaho/Oregon/Washington beers on tap, and almost all craft stuff. All we had of the food was an order of potato skins, and they were decent. The bar was well-staffed and our bartender was attentive and friendly. Everyone at the bar wanted to talk to us and learn our life story. Great, warm place, and an absolute must-visit if you are in the Idaho Panhandle.“

“Located in what appears to be an “old town” tourist area of the Coeur d’Alene Lake. After spending the day on a boat it was a nice welcoming establishment. Large patio out front with an open floor plan inside. 10-12 TV’s gives it a sports bar vibe. No food but adjoining restaurants were more then happy to provide service. Laughing Dog is the local brewery and i expected a better representation. Only Huckleberry Cream Ale on tap. Good service with friendly staff. “

“Great store with a really good selection of local, Mountain, PNW along with some other US & European brews. Prices are very reasonable, with the option of making your own 6 packs. Beers are displayed in styles as you walk along the coolers, and didn’t see any old outdated beers, either. Didn’t get any help from the staff as I didn’t need any, although I was asked. Staff at checkout were happy enough and commented on the amount of beers I purchased (36 bottles) and got a nice discount for ’bulk buying’. Definite place to visit in Coeur d’Alene.“

“Great place to go for in Coeur d’Alene. 40 taps on offer, 36 of which are micros, and 1 cask engine too. Huge room with plenty of seating and a large patio too. Good selection of NW & Mountain brews. Service was quick & friendly; helped being a Red Sox fan ;-) Food is great and very tasty. Can’t wait to go back.“

“Drive through beer stop not far from I-90. I parked and walked in to take a closer view and not jam up traffic. The friendly ladies working asked me if they could help and they were able to point out numerous Idaho beers. They also directed me to other towns with breweries that didn’t sell outside of the breweries. Price was reasonable as well. Worth the time and money.“

“Great store, essentially a local version of a Whole Foods Market. Great beer selection with MUCH better prices than WFM, and the option of building your own 6-packs. Super helpful staff, and best of all, I was given a 15% discount at checkout! I’ll be back for sure.“

“A great beer bar with close to 40 taps, most of which are of high quality. Capones (in both their Coeur d’ Alene and Post Falls incarnations) is the best place to drink good beer in North Idaho. I like the Coeur d’ Alene location a bit better.“

“Very nice selection of beer here. Everything was available and priced by the single bottle. Lots of 12oz local stuff, Ninkasi, Goose Island, some Mikkeller, Deschutes, DFH, I was surprised by the amount of bottles. Not as good a selection as Enoteca in the next town over, but still impressive and prices were a little better than Enoteca. The guy working in the beer section was very knowledgable and helpful and was willing to bring in cases of things I may want.....Another visit, this place is awesome, the service is the best I’ve ever seen at a grocery store type place, shit the service and knowledge is better here than a lot of specialty beer stores I’ve been to. There was a lady working in the beer/wine area this time and she was very friendly and informative. I can always come here and find 10-20 new beers it seems, and buy them all by the single bottle which is one of my determining factors on how much I’m going to spend(generally more if singles are available).“

Get & Go Gourmet (Beer Store)
2115 N. GOVERMENT WAY
“This is a drive-through gourmet beverage, food store. You pull in with your car and tell Michelle, Chelsie, or Jimmie what you want and they go and get it for you. No need to get out of the car! (although you can walk or ride your bike up to the window if you have no car). The selection of beers here is excellent for this type of store. They have everything from the highest quality Belgian Trappist Ales to anything domestic, from the most well-known beer classics to the most esoteric of craft/micro-breweries. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they’ll order it for you and have it for you within a few days (including kegs). This place has many beers that even the best beer shops in N. Idaho, such as Enoteca, Pilgrim’s, or Daanen’s) don’t have. The girls who work here are nice and knowledgable about their beers (as well as wine, cider, gourmet soda, water, and everything else they sell). This place is very cool.“

“Decent place for a sandwich and a glass of beer for lunch. Food is what you’d expect at a brewpub and they have a better than average (far better actually) selection of unique brews. I’ve yet to try their Post Falls location since it’s been rebuilt following the fire. I’ll definitely visit Capones again (and again).“

“This place shows promise. I’ll know for sure as I visit more often. $1 pints on thurs nights @ 9. Good food so far. 9/16/06: The thursday night thing draws the younger crowd and only one beer is on special, most likely something to appeal to the just turned 21bunch. Nice neighborhood restaurant in east CdA though with decent food and 2 or 3 selections worth drinking among the usual boring micros.“

“Came down here and met billk for a quick pint. Inside has short ceilings with baseball and other sporting event paraphernalia plastered all over the place. Nice selection of taps with lots of regional stuff. Not sure about what Bill was complaining about the selection, this would be a welcomed addition to somewhere like Boise. It’s no Portland or San Diego, but a different tune for a different place. I had some Widmer Broken Halo. Didn’t see too much as for regionals. The laughing dog unfiltered IPA was on tap, I should have had that in hind side. Average service, maybe a bit apathetic, but I can’t complain. Didn’t try any food.“

“This is the best tap bar in C d’A. 35 brews on tap (actually 38 by them but one or two are usually down), often changing for wide selection. I found Lang Creek’s Wingwalker IPA here. Good food, nice atmosphere w available outdoor seating. Update: 4/25/06. I’m getting cold feet about this place. Usually only about 5 beers max that are of any real interest and the food has been so so.“
