86 /100 Pour Company (Bar) 402 W 6TH ST #102 What a surprise here! While there's plenty of places catering to the college kids, this one is more for the university staff with a high end selction of Belgian and other imports, both on tap and in bottles. Quite cozy inside, but comfortable. Awesome service! And the selection will ensure you will find something you haven't had. |
72 /100 The Alehouse (Bar) 226 W 6TH ST Stopped in for dinner and a beer. It really hasan old bar and grille feel, early 80's Bennigans. College town has added some wear and tear, but it still holds up. Pub grub menu (chicken club wrap, yum!) and a decent seleection of tap handles. Service was good for a Friday evening. |
76 /100 333 N. JACKSON ST. This has been on my Idaho bucket list for a while, so I'm glad I finally got to get in. Kind of a weird building like a hangar or something. Rough and tumble interior, kind of slapped together furniture. But that all gives it kind of a cool vibe. I've had their beers before, and the ones I had here were very good and much better than I had expected. Service was great. Small parking lot so you should be able to get a spot if it's not crowded. They have an on-site food truck if you're hungry. Kind of close to downtown Moscow so pretty easily accessible. |
80 /100 Tapped - Taphouse & Kitchen (Restaurant) 210 S MAIN ST Nice downtown location, pretty active on a Friday night. Nice long taplist represents the region well. Great service and food recommendations. Parking not an issue, lots within walking distance. |
20 /100 Slice and Biscuit (Restaurant) 125 E 2ND ST This place has always had so-so food, overpriced beer, and a nice patio. They inexplicably allow dogs inside, which is awesome, and I used to take advantage of, but I always found odd since there is food served on site. Recently it was brought to attention that the management discriminates against breweries who do not ascribe to their same values. I take issue with this kind of discriminatory behavior, and know of no other way to express my dismay other than by not supporting this business as a result. |
86 /100 Slice and Biscuit (Restaurant) 125 E 2ND ST Came in for breakfast, left with beers. Low key environment, pizza, biscuits, coffee and beer. Nice selection of taps, cans and bottles. Food is awesome, just very friendly. Really cool place. |
68 /100 630 N. ALMON STREET Small tap room, located just north of downtown, industrial park area. quite cozy. 4 taps on, flights available. Modern interior, wood and steel. |
64 /100 Moscow Food Co-op (Grocery Store) 221 E. THIRD STREET Agree to the Boise Co-op vibe. scaled down version. Food available. Beer selection was decent, and reflected different distribution than we get in Boise. |
62 /100 Rosauers (Grocery Store) 411 N MAIN ST Grocery store on the north edge of town. Decent selection of craft 6ers. Doesn’t have the same specialty offerings as the Co-op or Wine Company, but has a wider range of quality 6-packs, good prices and good freshness (based on the few dates I checked). I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop here, but definitely the spot I’d go if I was looking to stock my fridge or heading to a backyard BBQ. |
88 /100 Tapped - Taphouse & Kitchen (Restaurant) 210 S MAIN ST Great craft beer bar in downtown Moscow. Live taplist (check their website). No bottles, but nice selection of draft offerings (23 beers, 2 ciders, and 10 wines last time I was in). Growler fills available. The few times I’ve eaten here the food has been tasty. Highly recommended. |
70 /100 Wine Company of Moscow (Beer Store) 113 E 3RD ST Small shop in downtown Moscow offering wine, beer, and cheese. The beer selection is small, but has some good stuff. Prices are great. Worth a quick look if you’re downtown Moscow and looking for bottles, as it’s only a couple of blocks away from the other main beer stops. |
90 /100 Slice and Biscuit (Restaurant) 125 E 2ND ST This has quickly become my favorite spot in Moscow to grab a beer, especially on a sunny day. The interior is split between a pizza place (apparently serving biscuits in the morning, but I’ve only ever been in the afternoon) and a bar / coffee shop. Outside there’s a great patio (shared with the next-door BBQ joint) with a play area for kids and an ice cream shop.
Happy hour from 2-6pm gets you a free slice of pizza with your beer. 18 quality regional draft offerings and a whole lotta cans (no bottles). Live music occasionally in the evenings if that’s your thing.
If you’re in the area looking for a place to hang out and drink, this is the first place I’d suggest. |
96 /100 Tapped - Taphouse & Kitchen (Restaurant) 210 S MAIN ST If you find yourself in Moscow or the Palouse, I highly recommend. On average, they have ~25 taps available, plus wine, cider, and kombucha. For Moscow, their is no other place that offers such a diverse and quantitative selection. Being in a college town, it gets packed very quickly during the school year. Go early, or when school is not in session. So excited for Moscow to have such a great place that serves great food, and has such an eclectic diversity of beers. Focus on Inland NW and PNW beers. |
82 /100 Wine Company of Moscow (Beer Store) 113 E 3RD ST Great, hidden treasure in the Palouse for quality craft beer. Not an overall great selection in terms of quantity or diversity, but for what they offer, it is a true gift to the area. Are really good about doing special orders if they can get it in for you. |
86 /100 Moscow Food Co-op (Grocery Store) 221 E. THIRD STREET A great place to find craft beer in Moscow. Overall, a really good selection. Small, and doesn’t rotate as often as we would like, but it is a must if you enjoy good beer and you are in the Palouse. |
78 /100 Moscow Food Co-op (Grocery Store) 221 E. THIRD STREET This Co-op is a pretty cool place, worth stopping at for food/groceries if you’re in town. Beer selection is small but well-curated, with emphasis on NW offerings (with a healthy dose of Colorado to boot). Prices are reasonable. |
74 /100 630 N. ALMON STREET Awesome place, checked it out for the first time, not disappointed at all, I will absolutely be back |
92 /100 Moscow Food Co-op (Grocery Store) 221 E. THIRD STREET Small but quality NW selection that they seem to rotate well. Employees will try to help you out. Best to-go beer place in the area. Places were reasonable |
54 /100 The Alehouse (Bar) 226 W 6TH ST I guess this has gone downhill now that it isn’t attached to the Coeur d’ Alene brewery. The guest taps are mostly forgettable domestics or Sam Adams. Nothing much to go for on their house brews. Head to Pullman, WA instead |
28 /100 Wine Company of Moscow (Beer Store) 113 E 3RD ST These guys appear to have a decent selection however I was treated rudely there and I came to hear of many similar experiences as I lived in the area. It might be a decent place to find something different once in a while but I will not visit here again due to their poor customer service. There are plenty of other places in Moscow to find a decent selection of beers. |
98 /100 Moscow Food Co-op (Grocery Store) 221 E. THIRD STREET This is THE central place in Moscow. Their beer selection always contains something new and their beer buyer is very cool about suggestions and bringing new things in. You can also get a mind blowing selection of kegs here as well. They have a rotating variety of about 100 singles including bombers and some larger bottles. One unfortunate part is that although they have great food and a nice deli eating area they do not have a permit to consume beer on premise. The prices are great and the selection is the best in N. Idaho. One of the grocery folks will be glad to offer some suggestions too. |
86 /100 The Alehouse (Bar) 226 W 6TH ST No longer associated with Coeur d’ Alene this Alehouse still rocks. They have been getting a great rotating selection of beer and they sell it cheap. Tap a keg tuesdays allws you to drink 2 regional selections for $1/pint until the keg blows and the kegs generally do not last very long. The food is decent pub fare but priced reasonably with great happy hour and nightly specials. A sweet outdoor patio is a great touch when the weather is nice. Their mug club is well worth the $40. |
68 /100 Wine Company of Moscow (Beer Store) 113 E 3RD ST Small corner store that can be hard to notice at first. Mostly wine, but a small cooler and two shelves of craft beer. Few imports, Lindemans and a couple German hefes, but a pretty widespread (albeit small) selection of American micros. Prices were very fair and service was better than average. |
74 /100 Wine Company of Moscow (Beer Store) 113 E 3RD ST Great corner store, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Decent selection of western US and international brews. Great place to stop in for a chat and a couple of bottles. |
70 /100 The Alehouse (Bar) 226 W 6TH ST Small pub with decent menu and ten taps flowing. Came midday during the week and it was still fairly busy. Nice sampler tray and the server was well informed about the house brews. Had to stare at the cooler full of bud bottles, that sucked. Otherwise a nice atmosphere and fun. I’ll be back... |
62 /100 The Alehouse (Bar) 226 W 6TH ST The spot of choice in Moscow during a recent visit. Nice mellow atmosphere, perfectly good beers crafted with care. |
62 /100 The Alehouse (Bar) 226 W 6TH ST Nice place to sit in the sun & enjoy a few Inner Pacific Northwest microbrews. Highly recommend the vanilla bourbon stout & the huckleberry ale. Service is okay at best. The only good place in town to watch baseball & get drunk... |
74 /100 Moscow Food Co-op (Grocery Store) 221 E. THIRD STREET Definite similarities to the Boise Co-Op, but on a smaller scale. The beer selection really caught me off guard. Lots of regionals, but not a lot of the next door neighbor types. More stuff from Colorado than Oregon. Just a couple imports. Prices were a bit high, but still reasonable. The checker even gave me member prices for being from out of town! |
60 /100 The Alehouse (Bar) 226 W 6TH ST Service can be spotty at times. As a regular here the food menu is solid not spectacular. Good beers (cheap, especially if a club member) good selection. Great hangout for a lazy weekend. Closes too early on weekends, tiny tvs. |
62 /100 The Alehouse (Bar) 226 W 6TH ST Excellent microbrews, the best steak I’ve ever had. Visit this place, have a steak, enjoy a pitcher of their pale ale. Excellent stuff. :) |
66 /100 Moscow Food Co-op (Grocery Store) 221 E. THIRD STREET Basically like the Boise Co-op with out the selection. This was the first store that had Arrogant Bastard in Idaho! |
70 /100 Wine Company of Moscow (Beer Store) 113 E 3RD ST Corner store that is stuffed to the brim with wines. In the back and in one wall cooler we find the selection. There is a good selection of the PNW beers and the usually macro crafties. The smell of sausages and stinky cheese permeates everything. |
