“I finally made it to this nice little bottle shop in the city centre of Hamm, more or less a beer desert in the heart of Westphalia. Apart from spirits and wine, the focus is heavily on (craft) beer, especially local stuff. They carry especially beers from Hammona, Kemker and Finne, but also from other (well-known) German micros, as well as some larger, classic brand from Bavaria and NRW. Additionally, classic Belgian beers are heavily represented: Saison Dupont, Duvel, Gouden Carolus or trappist beers but also a relatively large selection of lambics (3 Fonteinen, Boon, Lindemans). Really well-sorted, although with a focus on classics rather than fancy, modern brews. Decent prices, attentive and friendly staff, big enough parking area around the store. Definitely worth a visit when in town!“

“Nice, modernized but still traditionally-looking Brauhaus a bit off the city centre. It's actually one big room but you can climb up to the second floor and sit on some sort of a balcony. The ground floor has a modern bar and is quite bright while the first and second floor are dominated by wood. Atmosphere is very relaxed, but the (quiet) electronic music didn't really suit this place. Food is not typically Brauhaus-style as you would expect it in Germany as it is a little more sophisticated than usual, while there is still something on offer in all price categories. Beer-wise it's less interesting as all beers come from the fading Warsteiner Empire, but I added it because of its house beer ("Hopfenglück"), an unfiltered, gently hopped Lager. Staff was very friendly and attentive, had a good time here. Will visit it again if I'm ever back in Hamm, but just for the food and the atmosphere rather than for the beer.“

“Visited on holiday sauerland 2017. Typical German spacious shop just outside the city. The shop is mostly filled with the familiar German brews. Except for the last three meters of the shelves, here you can find some very nice national and international craft beers. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are quite affordable“

“Visited on Friday 11th December in the evening as the last stop off. It’s a good 20 Euro taxi ride from Hamm Hbf so only for the dedicated (there may be some form of public transport during the day). It’s a lovely old place in the middle of nowhere, wooden beams, plenty of decoration adorning the walls. Service was excellent with the staff pouncing on anyone with a a couple of mouthfuls of beer and forcing more on us! Owner came over for a chat and gave us hazelnut schnapps. Food was excellent with huge portions. Well worth a visit, the beer was good too!“

“Went there for a late lunch. The brewpub is located in the countryside and is in a big farm-like building. For the children there are also animals on the farm (pigs, donkeys etc). The interior is very warm and welcoming decorated with big sofas, wooden things, a big tree, many warm lights etc. I felt very good and the atmosphere was great. The beers were nice, three on tap at my visit, enjoy their Hell at best. Ordered the Gourmet Burger Ham with pan fried potatoes and it was hell of a portion. Tasty (they serve their own slaughtered pigs) but far too big for me.. Prices for the food are a little bit too high I would say. The service was quite slow - wasn’t asked for a second beer for half an hour and had to go to the bar by myself. Food took ages. But atogether I enjoyed the visit and would come back for their seasonals.“
