70 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Nice Brauhaus in the Eifel in a small village. No cellphone connection and no Wifi. Solid classc brews, seasonal beers and some special aged beers in the fridge for takeaway. |
74 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 This is not a traditioinal Brauerei Gasthof - the brewery exists since 1999, as the Caspary Gmbh plaque indicates. Fortunately, they can boast on HenrikStöppler, a young brewmaster that is absolutely not averse to experimenting! Proven by the seasonal beers (generally called ’Saison’, but "nicht Belgischer Saison! " as Henrik assured me. For the rest the brewinghouse is both spotless (German) as photogenic, set in the dining room. Which brings me to the other parts... the ambiance is made for German third agers pretending to be wild... Ay, hombre, and the boss does his best, but a sunny character is not his. The food is generous, rather than exquisite, and certainly good value for money. You’ll have to do with the taps, as the bottled 1 L beers cannot be consumed on the premises - if anybody can explain me? All beers, top ànd bottomfermenting share a bananalike character, but the Rauchbier to come promises! Doppelbock was being brewed during the visit - for december. Go change your holiday trips! However, keep in mind that AGAIN here’s a Gasthaus with very limited wifi and absolutely NO cell-phone reach! |
56 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Excellent brewery in the heart of Mosel wine country. 4 outstanding taps. |
74 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Mehrmals besuchtes gemütliches Brauhaus. Immer wechselnde Saisonbiere. Das Essen ist gut, das Personal ist freundlich, die Preise sind günstig. |
72 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Came here with Bierkrug and it is a good out of the way joint. A great one to get away from everything and enjoy a weekend. Food is really good. Hard to find good Haxen in this area but they have that one down. Service is good and the beers well they are ok. Not expensive at all. |
78 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Came here with Indutiomarus. It is located in a small village and is very nice. A mix of modern and classic German. Eating area is broken up into several rooms. The bar is very nice as well. Severice was spot on. Beers are average but well made craft beers. Food was very good normal German fare. A good place. |
74 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 This was my local brewpub only 10 mins from my house when I lived in Germany. I really thought the food and beer was all well done, especially the helles. Staff was very friendly and the prices were not bad. There is a hotel attached and a small beer hall looking patio outside as well. |
64 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Great restraunt/brewpub. I love going to this place. The food is fantastic. The staff is always friendly. Atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. They have a new marzen brew that isn’t listed. I hope to try it next time I go there. Everytime I’ve been, there are always groups of Germans singing and having a great time. Children are also welcome. There are seperate areas to go with your family if you would rather be away from the main room and all the revelry (read: fun). Their hell and dunkel brews are available for takeout in 2 liter bottles or 5 liter keg cans. |
66 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 The place is a typical German pub, not too traditional, not too modern, for the people in the village. The beers are quite simple, even if must be said that the Helles is more bitter than the average sweet Helles around in the region. The folks there have been extremely nice, allowing me to try the beers even if the place was already closed, and gave me some hints about nearby breweries. |
56 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Nice little micro brewery & restaurant. The beer were ok and the food is pretty good. Great place to sample their local brewed beers. |
52 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Nice brew pub close to where I live.Nice small well staffed and serviced place to drink and eat. In fact it was one of the first place I took a few of my friends who wanted to get involved in rating beer. |
62 /100 WALDSTRASSE 1 Very close to USAF’s Spangdahlem AB, this small-town restuarant, brewery and distillery is textbook small-town Germany. When I lived in the area, I loved it for its ease of access, quality beer, down-home food and cozy setting. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in the Eifel region. |
