“Visited for the Trappist week in 2017, so I was able to try the exclusive La Trappe Anniversary Edition! Truly an amazing event, where they really give it their best to create the ultimate trappist experience. A very beautiful beer list, but also a nice plate of trappist tapas which comes highly recommended! Should definitely revisit to check out their "regular" menu, which sounded also pretty promising when Kevin was talking about it.“

“Great place run by a couple who obviously love beer; The place where Spencer was first offered in Belgium, brought from the States by family of the owner and offered because the owner wanted to share the experience with fellow beer lovers. Highly recommend you go to take part in their "week(end) van de Trappist"“

“Family-friendly, ’clean’ kind of pub allied to the ’Cultureel Centrum’ of Berlare. Run by a friendly couple with a great passion for trappist beers, which most interestingly culminates in their yearly Trappistenweek(end) event, when tickets are sold which remain valid for the rest of the seven day event; owner Kevin De Rouck goes to great lengths to obtain every possible trappist beer available, the result of which is that last year he was the first (and likely only) Belgian pub to offer Spencer Trappist Ale, and this year did the same effort with the new Tre Fontane trappist. Their bottle list includes things like aged Orval, Westvleteren and Westmalle Extra and is still expanding beyond the limits of trappist beers, so one to keep an eye on if you are from the area!“
