“Right by my hotel. The beer itself is pretty mediocre--no real standouts, nothing overly disappointing but pretty much everything as I hoped. Food was mediocre, too. There are better breweries within walking distance (which are not on ratebeer yet).“

“Located in downtown Davenport. Ambience was good, dark as expected of a beer bar. Selection was pretty good, to-go options were good and tap options were plentiful. Will have stop in for the tap options when I have more time.“

“Just a few steps from the back door of my hotel, where I've spent 4 weeks over the last couple of months. Really nice vibe, I sit at the bar and have made friends with a few of the regulars. Nice staff, very helpful. Sampled pretty much everything they had available and enjoyed most of it. My go to is the Cherry Bomb, a nice refresher. The food is excellent.“

“April 2018. Went on a Saturday evening, and it was predictably packed. Luckily a couple seats opened at the bar. Lighting was dim, it had the appearance of an old country club outside, and modern bar inside. White bar top and white picnic tables on slab concrete floors. Astroturf walls with vintage horse and golf paintings. Unique concept, though it wasn't really a relaxing place to hang out. Service at the bar was ok, it was packed so it took a little longer to get a beer, NBD. With 100 taps on small digital screens, you literally have to walk the length of the bar to read them all. Some highlights were KBS and some local IPA's. TG, Lionstone, Big Grove, Green Tree. Burnt ends and fries were ok, though the burnt ends were over-salted. The kitchen seemed strained by the large crowd. They claimed to be out of brisket, then someone next to us ordered some and got their order. The staff apologized but it was kind of odd. We later had some great BBQ at Big Mouthz, definitely get the ribs. Overall it was an ok experience, but honestly I had a better time next door at the Raccoon Motel whiskey bar.“

“This is more of a beer bar with a small store in the back, as of April 2018. Endless Brews was great. Relaxed comfortable vibe, with more of a beer geek crowd than elsewhere in town. Lots of wood, open space with high ceilings and loungey couches up front, bar to the left, and retail shop in the back. Location was convenient to several other beer spots in downtown Davenport. Draft selection was top notch, had the best beers of the weekend here, TG Supa Sumo and Lionstone Burnin' Love. Good variety of Iowa breweries on draft, both local and regional. The retail shop had some traditional lambics, including several Boon specialties. Nice variety of Toppling Goliath including current bombers. Retail selection overall was quality over quantity. Overall it was a great experience here, and i'll return when in town again.“

“Been here a handful of times now but never rated... visited again January 2019. Big place, lots of room, clean and vibrant. I’ve only eaten here once and it was pretty good, but nothing amazing. Fills the belly but you won’t be calling your southern friends to brag about the BBQ. What’s awesome is there’s like 100 fucken beers on tap and it’s always a ton of new local and regional beers. Ticks galore, right? Except they don’t do flights or small pours, which is bullshit. Sometimes there’s 40 beers on tap I haven’t had but I can only drink one or two because I have to drive. Their loss as I’d be spending wayyyy more money if they did small pours.“

“Been here several times, not sure why I never rated it. Nice place, not huge but plenty of room, kinda split into two spaces. They allow kids and pets so hang out sometimes with cbfobes and his crew. Nice bartenders, can usually answer questions about the beers. Average to good beer usually. Not a destination but a decent spot to try out.“

“Newer place in Davenport. Has over 100 taps which is by far the most in the QC area. Ranges from bud light to pretty much any craft brewery that makes it into Iowa. One side has bbq and the other had the bar and tables. Large inside area with plenty of seating. Outside has a massive fenced in patio with tons of shade. Oversized chess and putt putt is available. Prices are kinda meh, but it is happy hour before 4pm every day they are open and that’s a $1 off. A must stop if you are in the area and for us locals it’s a nice upgrade from our usual 10-15 taps most places have.“

“Awesome place for the Quad Cities. 100 taps with a lot of diversity in selection. Less than 10% commercial beers, almost all is craft with a great selection of Iowa and upper Midwest beers. Eclectic, serves BBQ. Worth a visit if in the QC.“

“A modern industrial-look (in a good way) to their microbrewery with its operations open to the city street (really, the fermentation tanks are just inside the street-side doors). Great adaptation of what must have been some kind of auto repair building. About 10 taps of their beers and I’m pretty sure not much else (the way it should be, dammit!). Maybe a few other of their beers in 16-oz cans in the cooler but that was it. Small main bar (a dozen stools), a larger secondary room plus a spacious patio a few blocks too far inland to say they were overlooking the Mississippi. They were, however, within easy walk of a food trailer across the street, which I believe is the only source of eats to go with the good beers. Friendly staff and good prices ($3.75/pint).“

“Visited on a jumpin’ Sunday night (it didn’t seem like many restaurants in this neighborhood were open on Sunday) and were led to the only open table. Waiter Justin insisted on bringing a 2-oz sample before he’d bring a pint (very thoughtful). Families and couples among the clientele. Both beers I had were well above average. Our soup, sandwiches and sides were all delicious. Not a huge selection of in-house brews (nine, as I recall) but also a full bar with nice top-shelf selections. Convenient street parking and a lot across the street. Well worth the stop.“

Endless Brews (Beer Store)

“Visited with my brother in April of this year. It’s rather cool that younger people - say, those under 30 - are growing up with places like this even in resolutely un-cool areas like the Quad Cities. 20 years ago or whenever it was that I first visited this area, this would have been unimaginable. Anybody who thinks there was ever a better time to be a beer lover is living on a nostalgia that is beyond rose-colored, and the ever-better food and drink culture that is available in America today is one of the few glimmers of hope for the future in this old cynic’s heart...

Enough ranting & reminiscing. This is a clean, modern, and frankly almost sterile tasting room and bottle shop. I believe you can taste any of the bottles they sell here, but I didn’t ask and I will stand corrected if I’m wrong. But why do that anyway? They’ve got 20 taps and they’re all good stuff, most of it local Midwestern - Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kansas, Michigan, etc. Some of them are rare (and expensive) too, so if you’re looking for that hard-to-find Surly or Boulevard high-octane draught-only seasonal, this might be the place. I had a Surly Todd, and something else I don’t remember now; sorry Ratebeer, I’ve been out of the note-taking habit. Only real complaint is that they use the same glasses for everything, a somewhat fluted 16 ounce job, and that there’s no food - well, actually I think there might’ve been peanuts but I’m allergic! Small complaints really - if you want to try great beer and you’re in this area this I would think is a must.“

“At first, I was worried that they were out of business, the front of the place is pretty inconspicuous and is pretty much the only thing on the block. Once inside though, it’s a classy looking old timey pub atmosphere. I was in the area for business, but it seems like a pretty popular watering hole. The staff was friendly and attentive. The bartender was pretty excited to talk beer, although they were pretty busy at the time, so we didn’t get to too much chatting. They had eight taps going of palatable beer; although I had to knock them one point on selection for the fact that I saw people ordering and drinking Michelob Ultra. Shame on Front Street for stocking Michelob (they have so much better to offer) and shame on the customers for ordering it. The food was quite tasty - one of the best chicken tortilla soups I’ve ever had, and a really tasty mahi mahi sandwich on ciabatta bread. Eight samples of beer plus a sandwich for just about $20 - I was pretty happy about that.“

“Small taproom downtown near the river. 12 beers on tap and cans to go. Half of them were pretty good and half were just OK. Pretty slow early on a Tuesday afternoon. The bartender was friendly and the service was good. 12 tasters and one 16 oz can to go was about $17. It was nice to revisit some of these beers that they used to brew in Iowa City (Bock, Dirty Blonde, Brown). I’m glad I stopped in.“

“If you are going here to meet up with friends or grab a beer after work or need to pick a public place to hash out some things with the ex then it works...great river will just continue to let you down if you are expecting them to put out a beer that you can be excited to share with others...they top out at mediocre at best... Reminds me of the early craft beers of the south..muted and light bodied...trying to maybe appeal to the unseasoned drinker..their beer is just not good and it hasn't been since they arrived...although their root beer gets rave reviews...based on beer taste just pass on by...spend time and money on better beer...but check back every year cause everyone deserves another shot!..they can...16oz tall boys...Trevor the young brewer is the only talker I've come across out of the brewery team...“

“The brewpub at the main brewery. Good beer in an industrial setting with a fun mix of beer geek, dogs and locals. All their offerings available right from the source. Try the 483 Pale Ale - one of the better local ales I’ve had around here - or the Straight Pipe Stout. Since this is the brewery location, occasional treats are to be had (barrel conditioned treats).“

“Great fish tacos is the best thing I can say about this place. The beer is rather boring and nothing special. Service is usually good and the bartenders are friendly. It is a nice place to stop before going to the casino, but if you’re looking for good beer go across the river to IL and get some good craft on tap.“

“Have visited on a couple of occasions. Mixed results with the bartender on hand, once he was friendly and another time not so much. Beer is affordable, but most is average at best. Coffee stout is fantastic. They used to have a homebrew gathering that was fun, not sure if it is still going. Worth a stop if the coffee stout is on.“

“Cool little corner spot in otherwise desolate part of down town Davenport. Nine or so draft options available when we stopped by. Bartender was friendly, seemed to have helped out with brewing as well. The beers, while not all to my liking, were well made, and as good or better than the other area breweries. Free peanuts on the bar!...always a plus. Also, it was dog friendly with a couple four legged friends rounding out the crowd. Biggest beef was the bartender’s explanation of how the pale was exceptionally good..."just got lucky" "craft brewers have widely varying results every time" "only the big guys like Sierra and New Belgium can make good beer consistently." wrong. wrong. wrong. wrong. Seems like these guys might not run a very tight ship in the brew house.“

“Fun little place with some good beers. If you can make it when they’re tapping a new beer, it’s even better. They’ll have food and The Cupcake Lady will bake mini-cupcakes using the beer in the recipe. There are no TVs, only background music and only their beers (which I actually like). Doesn’t hurt that they’re only a couple miles from my house! The only negative is that service could be more attentive. That is more the exception than the rule. So don’t let that deter a visit.“

“So, this is just a taproom for the prewery itself, which I just found out about last year. A pretty friendly place, with an outdoor beer garden when in season, and a single bar inside. Friendly staff, and friendly locals who like to come in and try out some new craft beers like me. Guess I forgot to write down the price of the sampler tray I had, but it was very reasonable, and included their seasonal pumpkin rye and what is apparently one in a series of Templeton barrel projects. No food menu, though I suppose you could BYO or have something delivered. As GraniteSkunk mentioned, looks still a bit like an old auto garage, making for some nice informal space (and reminding me of Kelly’s on Rt. 66 in Aluquerque). A great space to try out one of Iowa’s more interesting new brewers. Yes, growler fills and packaged beer in 16-oz. can 4-packs. Do stop by.“

“Woo, my first placed added here on RateBeer, let’s hope I did it right. First, I want to say that the phone number was listed on their website, but it’s a Cali area code, so who knows. Now, on to Great River. It’s a small-ish place in an old auto repair garage. The bartenders are very friendly, and know the selection pretty well. They only have their brews on tap, and always have a barrel-aged beer available. Usually, the barrel-aged beers are in Templeton Rye barrels, but there have been a couple -bal Heaven Hill offerings as well. Growlers fills to go, although you should bring your own glass, because they’re frequently out of theirs. They’ll fill any brewery’s glass. Sundays are $6 growler fill days. Seating inside is limited, but they do have a patio. Cans are available to go, as well. Seek this little place out, if you’re in the QC area, and you’ll be rewarded.“

“Popped in on a Sunday afternoon right when they opened. There was a big bike and run race the night before that pretty much emptied their supply, but the bartender was awesome. He gave the wife and I free samples of everything they had left, and went and tapped a fresh firkin of vanilla bean stout for us. He loved talking beer, and give me a free can of the non-vanilla aged stout to take home while I was talking shop with him. Seemed like a good mix of Harley riders, hippies and locals in the place. I liked everything I had, and the M*A*S*H themed t-shirt was too good to pass up. Will definitely come back. I can’t say enough how nice the folks working were to us.“

“A great brewery in the Quad Cities. It is a small place with not too much indoor seating, although there is some outdoor seating (indoors is not air conditioned, but is probably a little bit cooler than outside). They offered 5 regulars, 1 seasonal, and 1 brewer’s reserve barrel aged beer. All were excellent beers, I especially liked the espresso stout. No food available but you do get free peanuts. A pretty chill place to relax with some great beers. I thought they put out some great quality, interesting and unique selections. Clearly it has improved since its inception. Definitely recommended.“

“ This brewpub really seems to be phoning it in. All the beers had a similar watery homebrew quality to them. The Hefeweizen and Raging River were ok, but were similarly thin and watery. Apricot Ale was promising, but again lacked any distinctive character. Atmosphere was a little hectic on a Saturday night, families having dinner, couples too, most were eating. Tables were close together and a bit cramped, yet one large table in the back was occupied by employees wrapping silverware. Worn wood floors and exposed brick and wood beams overhead. Some framed historical photos on the walls. Flatscreens above the bar, with baseball on. Bizarrely there were martinis and monster energy drinks pouring at the bar. Had the sampler and decided on a pint of the Apricot Ale, the rotating "brewmaster’s selection". Plates going by looked decent, but we didn’t try the food. Sally was our server and she was great, really quick and friendly. We had to swap out one of the sampler glasses that was dirty, and she didn’t miss a beat. We weren’t really feeling the vibe here, so we left after one round. Can’t really recommend it, Great River, Bent River, and Bierstube are better places for a beer in the area. “

“ Great River was an unexpected gem of a find on a recent trip to the Quad Cities. Their beer was of superior quality, and the best out of all the area brewpubs. After seeing a poster and cans at Trackside in Geneseo, IL, they were on my radar, and later a local friend recommended that we go here. Apparently the brewing operation used to be based at Old Capitol in Iowa City, and is now an independent brewery in Davenport. From the street you can see pallets of cans stacked to the rafters, and fermenters behind a couple roll down garage doors. The tasting room bar has a corner door, and opens into the small lounge. The wood bar has 2 tap towers with 12 tap lines in all. 9 were running on our visit. There were a couple seasonals, a Hefeweizen and Far Out Espresso Stout, and the bartender mentioned they occasionally have barrel aged beers available. The beers were all fresh and brewed with high quality ingredients. The Espresso Stout was really rich and tasty, I left with a growler of it. The 483 Pale Ale was a bit hoppier than the random cans I picked up earlier, so get it fresh at the source if you can. There were about 12 seats at the bar, one booth, and a table in the back, so there was seating for maybe 20 people at the most. The bar itself was darker wood with lighter inlay details. Music was playing from the bartender’s ipod, and there were no tv’s, making an ideal atmosphere for relaxed conversation and beer sampling. They don’t offer food, but you can order in or bring your own food in also. Our bartender was knowledgeable about the brewery and their beers. Apparently they were pouring at this years Great Taste, unfortunately I missed them there, but still got the chance to try their beers. Quality beer here, I highly recommend a visit if you’re in the Quad Cities area.“

“ Four HyVee grocery stores in town, no liquor stores? Where am I?!? Thankfully this store delivered in terms of a quality selection. Much like Woodmans in WI and northern IL, the liquor store had a separate entrance, but inside was adjacent to the grocery store. Sam was the guy running the place, he was at the register and on the floor also. We chatted about their selection briefly, and he pointed out the warm aisle shelves. Also he mentioned this was the largest selection in Davenport in the HyVee chain. I tended to believe him after I saw the warm shelves. Picked up a Boulevard collaboration #1 Imperial Pilsner, and a couple 4-packs from the Point "whole hog" series: RIS and Raspberry Saison. Bells (Oberon mini-kegs and extensive sixers), Boulevard smokestack series, Saranac, Millstream (sixers and sampler cases), Left Hand, Alpha Dog bombers, too many Rogue bombers (10-12), Great River tallboy cans ($7 4-pack), Big Sky, Summit, Lakefront, Ft. Collins, also 2-pack SA perfect pint glasses. Imports on the warm shelf were varied with a nice assortment. Celebrator, Weihenstephaner, Ayinger, Orval, Duvel, Rochefort, Traquair, and many other quality selections, maybe 200+ beers in all here. Overall this was far better than the selection at the other HyVee on West Kimberly, and the best beer store I visited while in the Quad Cities.“

“this is predominately a brewery with a small tasting room at the front of the place. 5 or 6 regular offerings with a brewer’s reserve offering of a bourbon barrel bock when I visited. growler refills are only $6.25 on Sundays and pints are 1/2 price when the nearby Arsenal bridge has swung open to allow barge traffic to pass through on the river.“

“Popped in on a Sunday. I was the first chap to walk in and for awhile it was just the bartender and I. They had blues music playing which was a nice touch. I had everything they had one tap, including their brewer’s reserve batch. I enjoyed most everything I had. The locals began to trickle in bit by bit for growler refills. I had a nice conversation with a local biker about the beer scene. Good stop and a nice hang.“

“Stopped in for lunch before catching my plane. Very nice feeling place, upscale for sure but I hear it is a chain. Sat at the bar and talked with the bartender for awhile.
