“Visited on a Thursday afternoon. Located in the corner of an older strip mall, with parking in the large lot in front. The interior is a big space, with a larger bar to the left, and two open rooms to the right. There are tables, spread throughout and with a cool seated foosball table in one corner. Selection is 8 beers available as 1/2 or full pint or cans or crowlers to go. I had 5 beers and they were all super clean and crazy drinkable. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. Some games and a dart board. Food available is pizza, wings, sandwiches and some appetizers. Would have liked some outdoor seating, though overall definitely my kind of place. (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“New brewery in Lenexa (Kansas City, KS). Open since June. 8-10 of their beers on tap. Cider available. Some beers available to go. Nice range of sessionable beers. Plenty of parking.“

“Early Saturday afternoon visit. Located in an industrial park. Modern interior. Friendly service. Only open a few months. Had 16 beers of theirs available. No flights, but small pours available ($3). Enjoyed the Cookie Stout.“

“Visited with friends on an early evening Friday over the holiday break. Tucked away in light industrial and business offices. Easier to see if you are coming from the North (95th Street). Parking is ample, Limitless appears to be the only business open at night in the office building. The tasting room is straightforward, with 6 or so bar stools and tables spread throughout the smaller room. The beer selection is 6 house beers, available as 16, 8 or 5 oz pours. Some of the beers also available to go via cans. The beer menu also lists “beers on the way” which is a nice touch for the regulars. Games available to play, a couple of snacks available for purchase. Their website mentions food trucks, though I didn’t see one this night. I really liked the friendly staff and the overall happy vibe of this spot. Will certainly return.

Gambino’s Pizza (Restaurant)

“If you are coming here for the pasta, salad bar or a meatball sub, great, those are excellent choices. Their pizza is okay (the sauce is not necessarily to everyone's liking.) If you are coming here for a beer, don't. Any convenience store has a much better selection.“

“A nice setting for this Grinders location. Plenty of room inside and outside. Decent tap list, but nothing too exciting. Pizza was very good. Service at bar was excellent. Got fairly busy around 6:00 p.m.“

“Visited Friday evening for dinner. It’s located at the end of 103rd avenue, which turns from suburban residential to almost countryside pretty much at the intersection. The restaurant itself is set back, with big parking lots and a large outdoor area. The interior is split into two areas, the bar area that has 12 or so stools at the bar, as well as a bunch of high top tables. The dining room feels like a country inn, with large communal tables as well as more traditional tables. One corner had a fireplace, though not sure it was operable. Beer selection features 20 or so taps, with interesting seasonals on, though a fairly straightforward selection. The food menu is the same as the Grinders downtown, featuring pizza and sandwiches. Service was great, especially in the bar. Fun place, would be good for a group particularly during nice weather.

70 = ★★½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time)

“Visited midday on Boulevard Saison Brett release day (Tuesday). The store is located in a busy strip mall at the southwest corner of 87th Street and Lackman. Beer selection is split between a warm shelf as you enter, and several cooler doors on the back side of the store. Not an overwhelming selection, though what is there is really solid. I saw a couple of bombers I had not seen elsewhere, or are harder to find. Prices were a bit all over the board, the Saison Brett I bought was the cheapest I had seen in town, yet some six packs were $1 more than I had seen. Worth a visit, as Eric mentions in his review, this is a great complement to Gomer’s up the street.

Gomer’s of Kansas (Beer Store)
17220 W 87TH ST PKWY,
“Hard to rate this store because they are limited by Kansas laws. The other Gomer’s stores are in Missouri and have a better selection in my opinion. The staff is friendly, prices are fair, and the store is clean and organized. I just prefer the other locations. For Kansas this is a good place.“

“Great selection but very pricey. They have a big mail order business which is reliable from all accounts“

“This is the second best bottle shop in Lenexa, but compliments Gomer’s pretty well because sometimes they have things that Gomer’s is out of. Gets a few points for organizing their single bottle selection by style. I’m on their (e)mailing list, and they have at least a couple of folks on the payroll that know their stuff, although I’ve never talked to them personally. Prices are pretty good. Worth a stop if you are in the area.“

“Not a bad stop if you are out on that far side of the city. Still not my favorite Gomer’s. but beats South and Midtown in selection. I didn’t get great service, but it’s obvious they are working to keep a decent selection and new beers, which I appreciate.“

Gomer’s of Kansas (Beer Store)
17220 W 87TH ST PKWY,
“A good-sized store with friendly helpful staff, and a good number of RateBeer tags printed out on many of the higher-quality brews. For the size of the store, the beer selection is proportionally smaller than many others I’ve been to, but the corner of "rare" beers includes some that aren’t carried by others in town. Also, this Gomer’s has just about every beer Rogue makes (or so it seems)!“

“A nice varied selection with a fair amount of singles. I have stopped in a few times and always got a few nice new beers. The staff was helpful and friendly. I appreciate that they make an effort to get new brews in house. Certainly worth a stop if you are in that part of KC.“

Gomer’s of Kansas (Beer Store)

“although this place has a large selection, the beer manager is a total d-bag.he is full of himself.the store is a dump, dusty botttles and unorganized, but a good selection. over priced for how big the store is. i have found almost as good of selection as this store elsewhere, with cheaper prices. if you are going to be in KC, stop by lukas in missouri, they have a HUGE selection. Gomer’s has always been known for their unpolite owner as well!“

Gomer’s of Kansas (Beer Store)
17220 W 87TH ST PKWY,
“Visited on March 12th - early afternoon. Certainly this is right up there with Lukas in Overland Park for the best beer stores I have been to in the KC Metro - Kansas side. The selection is about as good as Kansas Distribution will allow, and very well organized in its own corner. Mix a six had some decent selections. Overall a nice store. The beer manager is natedoggkc here on the site, and certainly knows his beer. If you are visiting KC from out of town, and want to hit a Kansas side store, this or Lukas will do fine.

Gomer’s of Kansas (Beer Store)
17220 W 87TH ST PKWY,
“One of the better stores on the Kansas side. Good staff and a pretty solid selection. Great selection of bombers, Rogue in particular for some reason. Lots of singles available, not just for build your own, but also some higher priced beers broken out for single sales. Decent prices. Not a lot of cooler space for craft beer is my only complaint.“

“The closest store to me and by far the best all around liquor store I have ever been to. The staff has a great knowledge of not just beer but other alcohol as well. This store has a great selection of beer from all round the world in every category. Plus, You have gotta love all the crazy liquor advertising stuff all over the place.“

Gomer’s of Kansas (Beer Store)
17220 W 87TH ST PKWY,
“My closest go-to store on the Kansas side. Many of the guys that work here are into craft beer and have sampled most of their wares. That alone is rare. A solid selection of the micros available in Kansas: Avery, Great Divide, North Coast, Left Hand, Boulder, Ommegang, Flying Dog, Goose Island, Lost Coast, and a better selection of Rogue than I’ve seen on the Missouri side. They also carry a smattering of solid beers from the UK, Belgium and Germany. You can buy a rotating selection of singles, and they’ll usually break a 4 or 6-pack if you ask (for a nominal mark-up). Better service and a more knowledgable staff makes this my favorite shop on this side of the state line.“

Gomer’s of Kansas (Beer Store)
17220 W 87TH ST PKWY,
“If in Johnson County, definitely worth a stop. This is the best bottle shop in Lenexa for sure. Carries the vast majority of beers available in the state, and you can count on them to score some rarities. Friendly and helpful staff. Pretty good prices too. Not necessarily worth the trip over from MO unless you’re really on the hunt for some stuff you can’t get on the MO side.“

“There are very few stores in my area that let you buy by the bottle. Gomer’s Kansas lets you do this. Different beer selection there versus Gomer’s main locations inventory. Variety is the spice of life. If you live in KC, this is the change of pace Missouri Gomer’s regulars are looking for.“
