“From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed here. I passed through the large covered patios to enter the cozy taproom where the brewer and some regulars were engaged in lively conversation; they made room for me at the bar and immediately sucked me into the discussions. I still had time to order from the small but varied taplist, beers available in 4 or 16 ounce pours; I'll have to come back to explore the bottles and cans, packed into a few coolers behind the bar. I first tried their beers at the Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend in Estonia and folks had interesting stories about the early days of that festival, before it relocated to the immense cultural center. The Norway theme at the taproom is strong, as are their connections to the home country, something not seen often enough in areas where people immigrated more than a century ago. Both the front of the house and the back of the house staff were friendly and engaging. The atmosphere reminded me strongly of the Danish concept of hygge, and as it turns out the Norweigians have something similar called koselig, present in abundant quantities here. Places like this epitomize everything I love about craft beer - and reminded me why it's so important to travl, rather than just getting your beer at the local store or from FedEx and drinking in your living room. The rewards of finding places and people like this are incalculable and far more effective than my blood pressure meds and anti-reflux pills. Golden buzzer.“

“An outstanding find. Beers are great, with 4oz pours available (for as little as $2). Food was great. Staff were great. Decent amount of very pleasant outdoor seating. Vibe and beers would be upper echelon in Portland, let alone in Norway.“

“Absolutely stunning find. Small place in downtown Norway. Comfortable. Small bar, a few tables. Fairly bright. Bartender Hannah was both friendly and helpful. We regretted having eaten mediocre food before coming because the menu looked amazing with an emphasis on local sourcing. Six beers on tap. All well made, some creativity, a bit rustic. All enjoyable. Their beers win side by side against similar styles from well known and respected brewers in the state. Prices on food very good, on beer just a touch pricy. Still coming into their own and already a great stop. I would be here constantly if I lived anywhere nearby.“
