Adam’s Ribs (Restaurant)
589 BALTIMORE-ANNAPOLIS BLVD.
“Revisited after a short hiatus and was pleasantly surprised. They are taking their tap selection more seriously and have about 18 to chose from, mostly regional but a few ringers as well. Food has been consistently good and reasonably priced. Service at the bar was friendly and efficient. Decor is pedestrian but spacious and clean. Plenty of TV’s if you want to watch a game. Will return and would not hesitate to recommend. Adam’s is part of a small chain, so there may be a more convenient location.“

“Completely renovated, really nice bar and restaurant. Happy hour is a good time to get select appetizers at a good price. Samples available, nice cocktails also. will return. “

“Roadhouse atmosphere, at least in the bar area, with the typical pool table/beer signs/TV emphasis. A huge tap list (33) and diverse bottle selection help make this place stand out along with some friendly, knowledgeable service. Good food, in a pub grub kind of way; not over the top,but honest. On the list of places to retry.“

Dawson’s Liquor (Beer Store)
589 BALTIMORE & ANNAPOLIS BLVD
“Place rating #50! Stopped in here right after heading to Fishpwas and glad I did. Variety of wine and beer and lots of liquor. Still have some BCBS and BCBW on the shelf but a little pricey at $8 per bottle. Utopias behind the counter, too. Grabbed some shelf turds like 2009 Pannepot Reserva, Mogli, Fifty Fifty Eclipse and a Perennial milk stout. Plenty more but my wife will be mad if I grabbed everything I wanted but a neat spot. Definitely worth checking out when in the area.“

“Small, looks like it would not be very good, but it surprises with hard to find releases and lots of Mikkeller and belgians. great store, prices a touch high for the area.“

Dawson’s Liquor (Beer Store)
589 BALTIMORE & ANNAPOLIS BLVD
“Dawson’s Liquor is a small, cluttered store with a great beer selection. As I carefully navigated the aisles, I found plenty of beers to clutch in my grubby little paws on this, my first visit. Some of the chilled bottles were hard to discover as there was not much order to the cooler, but the selection was pretty good. The staff was friendly and helpful, and definitely knows beer. While the store is a bit out of my way, I do plan to visit again.“

“The food was very good, the best reuben I have ever had, but $12.99 for a very small reuben and fries is to expensive for the atmosphere of this place, decent beer selection with some nice seasonals.“

“Nice home brew shop with everything you need. Located in a strip mall off of Ritchie Highway. It is in the back and cant be seen from the street. It is a little tricky to find but look for the sign that says 836 and pull in and go all the way down and to the right. Store was layed out well and was nicely lit. Service was helpful and friendly. I cant comment about the prices because I have been out of hombrewing for a couple of years and am eager to get back with their help and inventory.“

Adam’s Ribs (Restaurant)

“Adam’s has great baby back ribs as well as crab cakes and has recently expanded which means more beers on tap! It really seems that local restaurants have caught on to the craft beer movement an offering much better selections of beer - there aren’t a lot that have invested in the extra equipment to offer an increased draft selection. Adam’s offers options like Lagunitas, Victory, Dog Fish, Flying Dog, Heavy Seas, but also offer the discount Pabst at a $1.50 during O’s games for the old school pallet. Good food, good beer, good people. If you are a baby back ribs fan this place is #2 in the area for me. (#1 is the Corner Stable in Timmonium but their beer selection is lacking)“

Dawson’s Liquor (Beer Store)
589 BALTIMORE & ANNAPOLIS BLVD
“This place has some of the most knowledgeable staff around. Very good selection but the place could use some expansion! The place is pretty small compared to the amount of beers available here. These guys sponsor the beer club events at Lures in Crownsville, MD. They know their beers and some brewers and can order some things that might not be readily found in other locations. Evolution Lot #3 in a 1/6th keg comes to mind for me the last time I stopped in(had it on hand).“

Dawson’s Liquor (Beer Store)
589 BALTIMORE & ANNAPOLIS BLVD
“Very nice selection of craft-brewed beers (and wine and liquor, which I don’t shop for). Prices are a hair lower than one expects from a store with such a variety. And variety is what makes the store. That the aisles are crowded and quite disorganized pulls down the store’s rating, as it’s hard to find items and just as hard to move around in the stacks of cases. But I never fail to come out of there without several 6-packs and magnums of in-date beer. Good store!“

“I have been going here since I first got into craft beer. When you first walk in it doesn’t look like much. Once you walk to the back of the store to the beer section you will be more then impressed. The greatest thing about this store is the service. My favorite days are going in and talking to one of their beer managers "Matt." One of the most knowledgeable people I know and its always a pleasure to chat with him. They have tastings once a week and also have a beer club that is absolutely amazing! Overall the best store I’ve ever been to.“

“It had been a while since my last visit here, so I had limited expectations. But as soon as I hit the craft beer section, my eyes got big and could only think wow. Aisles stacked high, full shelves, full coolers, new stuff, hard -to-find stuff and decent prices. Met the guys managing the beers very knowledgable, very friendly, extremely helpful, and eager to get anything they can into the store. Chance they may be expanding, so that will help open more space. They also sponsor beer dinners and tastings. Definitely worth a visit (or revisit).“

“A whole lot of surliness goes along with your purchase. The guys who run this store will wait on a phone customer before they wait on a customer standing right in front of them. They really need to learn some business etiquette and manners.“

“This place had a good selection for such a small store. Had some Belgians & a lot of good local stuff. The best selection in this area. Has a good wine & spirits selection as well so it’s a one stop shop. While your not gonna find super rare stuff here, it will definatly meet your needs. Service was good w/o being overbearing! ***Rerate*** Place has really upped their game. Selection just gets better & better every time I come in here, plenty to choose from!“

“There is a new beer manager at this place. The old one seemed to stock every available IPA. The new manager has a bit broader horizons and I have noticed an incredible increase in the selection here. While the selection is not "full catalog" the way that Wells is or the Red Barn was, that is fine. The managers seem to have a real passion for the beer and that makes a big difference.“

“They have a decent selection of American made micros with a heavy emphasis on the IPA/DIPA. If you go and they don’t have what you are looking for ask Nick. He was really friendly and enthusiastic about beer. I believe he has a good relationship with the distributors which is probably the main reason why they have one of the best beer selections in an otherwise wine loving town.“

“The McNew’s have a great selection of original homebrew recipes and are very helpful to the novice home brewer. I have brewed four batches with equipment and recipes purchased from here. All were drinkable and the last two were irresistible. Not bad results for our first attempts in basement brewing.“
