64 /100 Shenanigan’s Fine Wine & Spirits (Beer Store) 15047 CRESTONE AVE W In the area December 21, 2011 so checked it out. Not a huge selection, but very decent. There is a nice section of singles with the usual suspects of Bells, Stone, New Belgium, but they also had Granite City, Sam Adams Imperial Series and Hofbrau, which I don’t remember seeing at other stores in town. The singles prices were not marked up at all from the 4 or 6 pack prices! Sam Adams doublebock and imperial stout were $2.50 and 4 pack was $10 so that was really cool. Will be back when I am trolling for ratings like this month in my quest to hit 500 by 12/31. |
54 /100 MGM Liquor Warehouse - Rosemount (Beer Store) 14865 S ROBERT TRL In the area Nov. 30, 2011, so was like why not check this place out and leave after I see nothing interesting. Well I was surprised to see a singles section with Bells, Left Hand, Founders, etc. Picked up a new Bells for me and the Shiner Black Lager to get me a Texas rating! Service was good and the manager let me buy 2 singles instead of making a full 6 as was stated on the sign. Store is like a warehouse with no character and caters to mass market beers though. Didn’t see Surly so maybe MGM got cut off for charging $40 a bottle for Darkness hahaha. |
70 /100 Irish Liquors (Beer Store) 14760 S ROBERT TRL, #2 Smaller sized store, but packed to the brim with as much liquor, wine and beer as can fit. They don’t have too large of a selection as one would hope, but they do have some decent craft brews in stock. If you can’t find one, ask about it’s availability to them. Helpful staff. |
72 /100 Shenanigan’s Fine Wine & Spirits (Beer Store) 15047 CRESTONE AVE W Not the biggest selection of single beer, but they had Stone and Alaska in stock. They have a decent selection of craft, but nothing to be too excited about. Definitely worth a look as they have some random brews that others in town don’t. |
