76 /100 Beartooth Cafe (Restaurant) US HWY 212 We've stopped in Cooke City for a meal. Town itself is impressive, it's how you imagine Montana. Several taps and surprisingly good selection of bottled beers, especially those from Montana. Had some Mexican food and it was good. If you happen to be passing here it's worth stopping. |
74 /100 Beartooth Cafe (Restaurant) US HWY 212 Visited July 2017, group of 5. Somewhat the only (beer) destination in town, and straight in front of our lodge, but it was a good one. Very rustic and old-fashioned interior, it made the USA experience ever so authentic. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. Quite an extensive beer list for such a small restaurant. I now regret having the meat lasagne back then, it was so-so. Burgers or grilled meat were probably better. Prices are okay. Not much to choose from in Cooke City, but you won't regret coming here. |
78 /100 Beartooth Cafe (Restaurant) US HWY 212 Visited in July 2017. Doesn’t look like much in a town that feels like it’s at the backend of the world, but we came here twice during our stay in Cooke City. The burgers are good, the prime rib decent, and there is an impressive list of regional microbrews. Dozens. Cooke City is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a gateway to Yellowstone not thronging with tourists and this is the place in town to quench your thirst. Overall a great stop. |
86 /100 Beartooth Cafe (Restaurant) US HWY 212 Stopped in for dinner and was pleased to find a pretty amazing beer menu for such a small town in the middle of nowhere. They had 3 local Montana microbrews on tap and an extensive bottle list - many from Montana and other Western craft brewers and few bottles from a number of different countries, including Belgium and England. The foreign selections are not to inspiring, but if you are desperate for a Belgian ale, you can get a Chimay here. The beer list must not change much, because you can get one of their t-shirts with the beer list on the back. The food was excellent and the service as friendly as you could ever want. What a pleasant surprise! |
