“online shop with the selection of Drinks of the World shops' selection (with some limitations - ie around 1/3rd of the beers are not available online, unfortunately); the delivery is extremely fast: I received my package within a day“

“a "streetfood" restaurant in the Markthalle in Basel among a lot of other restaurants with a few bottles of Shapiro beers - worth visiting if you would want to increase your Israel beer count“

“really good Mexican restaurant and bar with 2 beers on tap (Feldschlössen original and amber), and a few bottles (San Miguel Fresca, Corona, Feldschlössen alkoholfrei, Desperados and Schneider Weisse Original); worth visiting to eat something but clearly not for the beers“

“A restaurant in an old building with 4 beers on tap (standard sortiment of Feldschlössen: original, weizen, amber and braufrisch) and a few bottles mainly from macro breweries except Schneider Weisse original; although the staff is really kind and helpful, they are seriously under-staffed, so in the end, after half an hour waiting for the menu, I decided to finish my beer and leave to have my dinner somewhere else (and it happened on a Wednesday at around 7 pm...I cannot imagine what would happen on a Friday or Saturday evening)“

“Great place with good food and wide selection of Feldschlösschen beers and some others from Brooklyn, Grimbergen and Valaisanne (altogether they have 10 beers on tap and 8 beers in bottles, as well as 2 ciders) for quite reasonable prices (in Swiss standard, of course)“

“Located quiet outside the city center of Basel but directly next to a tram station. Large modern taproom with simple interior which was pretty empty on a late Saturday afternoon. Seven beers from tap (one more tap would have been available) with a nice variety of styles. The quality of the beer was decent but none of them stood out in particular. Worth a visit if you are in Basel.“

“Restaurant with brewery in a lovely small old street just on block away from the northern shore of the Rhein in Basel. In the backside of the restaurant the brewery can be seen behind a large window. The open fermentation vessels are locate just next to the window. At the backside of the brewery there is a patio to sit outside. Classic dishes for fair prices considering Basel standards are available but I did not eat here. They offer four of their beers from tap and a few more in bottles. Quality of the beers was ok but nothing special. Worth a visit if you are in Basel.“

“Modern bar/restaurant/brewery close to the Basel Badischer Bahnhof station. Bright large room inside with ample of space. The brewery with the stainless steel equipment is placed in the middle of the bar. Places outside are available albeit close to a large street. They offer six of their own beers from tap and some more are available in cans. Prices are fair for Basel standards. The quality of the beers was good but none of them was outstanding. In the evening they also offer food and the menu sounded quiet nice but I did not eat there. For sure worth a stop when you are in Basel.“

“Typical 19th century Austrian-German-style restaurant ambiance, only one beer on tap (Feldschlösschen's basic lager) and 5 bottles (4 Feldschlösschen beers and Grimbergen dubbel(?!?!)) ; they have a kitchen, as well, so worth visiting if you go to the airport and have pleny of time“

“Great ambiance and surroundings, the only problem is that they have only 2 beers on tap (both from Turbinenbrau), but they probably have some bottles, as well, because I saw some lagunitas and corona bottles, as well as ueli glasses“

“Nice bar in the historical Markthalle close to the main station. 40 taps - some mediocre German lagers, some more interesting smaller German breweries, other imports from mainly Europe and some beers from overseas, normally not too many Swiss beers; nice mix of styles. Good selection but tending to average plus beers while outstanding offerings are mostly missing. Besides they sell a few hundred beers in bottles and cans (mostly classics and newer widespread European craft beer breweries). Prices are as steep as expected for the Basel area. Small pours for all taps and flights are available. Always nice to stop by for a few beers when travelling to Basel. Recommended!“

“Fairly traditional Germanic pub feel, solid pub food, four of their own beers on tap, all traditional styles done well enough. Prices...well it’s in Switzerland so not low. A nice enough place.“

“In a word, cromulent. They do Germanic styles, they do them on the fat part of the bell curve and the food is solid. Basel is lovely and my fiancee was happy with the location and look of the place. I would go back but I'm disappointed I went on a day that the better rated places were closed. They do 4 taps of their own house brews. Taps are competently done but you wouldn't go out of your way for these.“

“A pretty good selection of beers from all continents with Swiss micros well represented, as are producers from the USA and UK. Prices are expensive (like everything in Switzerland) however here is a good opportunity to source beers from many places all in one spot.“

“Located inside a very cool food market where we got solid Jamaican food and superb coffee as well. Amazing eclectic choice of food. This place also has snacks like olives & sausage. Tap selection is very impressive, 40 taps and you can get 1 dl pours as well as flights which I saw far too late & they didn’t inform me, shame. Lots of cool stuff on tap including the likes of Trois Dames, BierFactory going towards the likes of Amager and Tanker. Very impressive bottle collection as well. Good service. Totally dead during the day & quite crowded in the evening. Comfy couch in the back. NOTE: cash only which is a shame since some of the foodstalls far smaller did actually take cash. Lots of rotation, discount prices on bottles to take away until 18.30 which is a bit seriously? Still great selection, solid service, access to the food market, this is the place to be in Basel.“

“Very solid walk away from the centre into what looks like the suburbs and the border only about a street away. Surprisingly large place. We arrived less than 10 minutes after opening and there were already lots of people there. The place proceeded to get more & more crowded. I think that loads of people go here after work and that there are offices nearby. Food available. Prices were good by Basel standards & they offered a flight. 6 beers available but not full line-up, there was a special brew. They also do concerts here & they had a comfy couch. The real downside of this place is just the quality of the beer which was just plain bad which was a real shame. Hard to get excited in that case, I would have stuck around if not for the low quality of beer. Hard to give it a good score as such.“

“Located right next our hostel so we needed to check out this place obviously. Short walk from the station away from the centre. Quite a large & modern slick place where they hold events apparently. Lots of locals drinking here. Service was by one friendly and one super surly waitress who seemed to hate everyone there but it was also late & most people were boosted. Second round we didn’t get what we asked but they stuck with their guns. Beer is cheap by Basel standards but largely also bad. Discount for take-away. Limited amounts of beers available which is weird because they make a large amount of different beers and none of the cooler more interesting beers where available, few of the bottles were displayed as props. NOTE: Only cash here which was also a pain in the ass. Not really worth bothering with I would say.“

“Cool, hip place. Garden outside, spacious inside. Good deal on 4x100ml tasting sets at 7CHF. Beers were interesting but had many basic problems, including s9me with diacetyl or dms. Worth a stop, but beers need more attention.“

“Sat out in the Biergarten on a 34 degree day. Server was unenthusiastic about beer. Special was wonderful, lager not so great. Expensive, but I guess quite reasonable for Basel. Worth a stop for sure.“

“Lots of taps, although they rotate quickly and during our session it went from 3 available IPAs to zero. Luckily there were plenty of others to try. You can take your beer and eat at one of the dozens of street food places in the market hall, which means a huge selection of food too. Open 5 days a week. Lots of bottles and cans in the fridges too.“

“Authentic brewpub with a small but decent selection. They have tables outside in a nice atmosphere and the service is friendly but not exceptional in any way. This is a very solid place but has more of a traditional value than a craft approach.“

“a lot of taps means about 40, also many bottles, 1dl taps for 3.5 -4.0 CHF and you can have holy fucking tap water(tap number 41) for balance for free. it's the greatest beer bar I've seen till now, so....“

“In Markthalle very close to the train station, bottleshop/bar during the day and bar in the evening. 36 of 40 taps in use when I visited. Claims 750 different beers, but feel the real number is a bit smaller. Prices are OK (for Switzerland). They allow 1 dl tap samples for CHF 2.50 or CHF 3.50, so would be good for tickers. Friendly service. Beware, accepts only cash. Would definitely visit more often if I lived in Basel!“

“Brand new place by the same people who run Bierjohann in Basel, very similar concept just upsized. It's a bar and bottle shop located in the trendy/hipster former market hall, within walking distance of the Basel train station. During the day, Bierrevier operates as a bottle shop with pretty acceptable prices, especially for Switzerland. Towards the late afternoon/evening, the location converts to a beer bar with 40 taps. The prices of the bottles are increased during bar hours. The selection of beers on tap during my visit was fairly German-heavy with some lesser known German craft breweries and some classics. There were a number of Swiss and foreign taps as well but not as many as I was hoping for. Definitely a place with a nice vibe to it and good prices for bottles during the day, it will probably become a staple for my visits to Basel due to its proximity to the train station.“

“This store recently moved within the train station premise to a significantly larger location. Style and stock is pretty similar to all other DotW in Switzerland. Some local beers can only be purchased at this one but that doesn't really make it worth an extra visit.“

“Very nice vibe in this place, still fairly new as a brew pub in Basel. Indoor and outdoor seating, open fire outside, super friendly staff. On tap were 5-6 of their own beers and at the time of my visit, one guest beer from a well known Swiss craft brewery. They also serve food which I didn't try. As flights or samplers, 3 1dl glasses can be ordered for a reasonable price. They do 2l growler fills of their own glass siphons. Of particular note is their Lager which is directly tapped from the Lager tank, kind of making it a Zwickel.“

“Not sure what they're after - a hybrid of English pub, industrial style American brewpub, and gemütlich biergarten I think! The beers are indeed rather experimental, not especially to style, yet pretty well crafted. Prices are typical for the city.“

“They have 4 of their beers on tap, including one rotating special. The beers are good, but not really modern craft beer and they only have the four beers. The place and service is nice. It is expensive though. I wouldn't make a detour for this place.“
