90 /100 10 PETERSON STREET ---Rated via Beer Buddy for Android |
84 /100 10 PETERSON STREET Sort of in the middle of nowhere, but not without things to do; my parents had visited the museum here years ago and liked it, so keep it in mind if that’s your thing. They really do need a large sign for the brewery, though, the building is barely marked and I basically had to guess where to go. No food but lots of drinking options, a number of sizes and around 12 taps on my visit (plus growlers of those for takeaway along with five styles in cans and a seasonal in bombers). The room is relaxed and open for its small size, general 'hangout' vibe and you’re encouraged to just sort of meander around and check out the production side (the highlight for me was the small canning line). People were awesome. Beers were well, well above average for the area and show some real potential. Prices generally good. Bonus points: the cleanest bathroom of its type I’ve seen in a year or two. 74 /100 10 PETERSON STREET Small place, but cozy environment. Right next to an air field. Workers were very friendly and a decent selection of about 10 beers on tap. Nice little spot to check out if your in the area. |
66 /100 10 PETERSON STREET Stopped by here on my way to my Shore vacation. Located on the edge of an airport in a non air-conditioned building. 10 beers on tap with non really standing out or to seek out. I was hooked on the peanuts and could not stop eating them ... |
86 /100 10 PETERSON STREET I really enjoyed my visit here today. This is a small brewery less than a year old. There are many great beers and a lot of them...usually 9-11. I had flights and tried 8 of them. My favorite was the Lunch Pale Ale...but I also enjoyed the Holly Hops IPA & the Old 47 El Dorado Pale Ale. They have a nice setup here with a bar and several tables plus a patio outside with more tables. There are free peanuts in the shell and popcorn. If time allows take the tour. The owner and head brewer Paul was very helpful, informative, and willing to answer questions and share beer stories. His wife Jen runs the bar and is also very enjoyable to talk to. To top it off GBC is at the Millville Airport and adjacent to the museum that represents this area formally being the Millville Army Air Field and P-47 training base in WWII. I definitely recommend a visit here when in the area or in conjunction with other breweries nearby (Tuckahoe Brewing & Cape May Brewing). |
42 /100 Joe Canal’s - Millville (Beer Store) 2213 N 2ND ST Stopped in here on the way home earlier today since it was right off the highway. I had just stopped at a different Canals location and this one was severely lacking in comparison. The quality of the booze and wines were top notch but the beer was a whole other story. Only two racks of singles and a bunch of six packs and cases. Nothing overly rare or exciting other than the same B. Nektar meads I had seen at all the other bottle shops in the area. I was in the store for about 15min and was not approached once to see if I needed help. Prices on the beer was decent but a little higher than the other location and some of the prices on the liquor were off the charts. I may stop again in the future to see if it improves at all but I wont be making it a must stop like some of the others. |

26 /100 Joe Canal’s - Millville (Beer Store) 2213 N 2ND ST I made a purchase here for $203.29. I went to Canal’s Liquor in May’s Landing a few days later. The same item was $135. When I brought this to the attention of Josh at Joe Canals Discount Liquors in Millville, I was treated rudely. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! |
