“Nice new startup brewery in West Berlin. I stopped by recently on my way back from visiting Tomfoolery. Berlin seems like a very nice initial effort. The first thing you will notice is the décor...very nicely done baseball theme. They did a really nice job on the taproom...fun place to hangout. The staff running this place are very friendly...can’t do enough for you. There were 7 beers the evening I visited. My favorites were the Insolent IPA, Rye Saison, and the Holly Jolly Winter Warmer clocking in at over 9%. From this one initial visit my gut tells me the owners should do well. This now becomes a nice stop on the way to or from Hammonton (Three 3’s and Tomfoolery) & Millville (for the already great Glasstown).“

The Wine Shoppe (Beer Store)
200 N RTE 73
“This is one of the few liquor stores inside a supermarket in NJ due to technicalities. It’s good for convenience, but overall there’s not much here.
Located inside of the Berlin Shop Rite is the Wine Shoppe, it’s small, but relatively clean inside. It’s easy to find things. The staff are helpful and depending on who you ask, are knowledgeable.
Their selection, while slowly growing, is severely limited. They do carry the full line of Flying Fish year rounds and the seasonals, some Brooklyn Brewerys, Sam Adams 6 packs and 12 pack variety, Shiner, and some Victory. Nothing special though, more of a place to go out of convenience. I’m pretty sure they have the cheapest Flying Fish in the area though at $7.99 a 6 pack, even cheaper than the Canal’s in Berlin.
Prices are usually near competitors.
It’s only worth stopping in if you’re already grocery shopping.

Edit: They now have a make your own 6 pack section where no other store will compete on prices. They keep the prices as close to the cost of an actual 6 pack while most stores mark their singles up. The selection still isn’t excellent, but you can now find a decent selection of Dogfish Head and some various Troegs, Weyerbacher, and etc. It seems they care about getting new stuff in.“
