64 /100 1038 N. MAIN ST. Worth a visit if in the area (makes a nice combination with 13th Child). The layout is decent and has some cool decor touches (like the keys in the bar top). I found the people there exceptionally friendly. The beers were average to me...but with a couple of interesting recipes offered (Gose is a good example...and they've made some different varieties). My guess is they will improve over time...but just a guess. |
80 /100 345SOUTH MAIN STREET Beautiful location in an historic building...and a very good looking taproom...original theme (followed thru nicely in a number of elements) and great decor. There are 8 taps with a variety of nice beers...some good...some very good...nothing bad. I enjoyed my visit and found the staff very amicable. I recommend a visit if in the area. |
46 /100 Canal’s Discount Liquor Mart - Williamstown (Beer Store) 2031 NORTH BLACK HORSE PIKE Its close to my work, its more of a hard liquior, or Budweiser beer type store, they do try though to keep a failry good selction of craft beers in stock, but can be old stock too, but sometimes thats good for beers like Palo Santo, which I bought a 4 pack for 11.49 they were bottled in 2008, awesome!, service is hard to say really just check out the people are nice, I go here to get out of season beers! |
56 /100 Geets Diner (Bar) 14 N BLACK HORSE PIKE A typical sports bar with an attached diner. There’s the usual beer on tap, Bud/Miller/Coors as well as Blue Moon, Guinness, and Yuengling. Prices aren’t bad, $2.50 Yuengling pints and the food is okay. Service is decent and it’s better than most sports bars. Karaoke is on Wednesday, I believe, and it’s actually fun to watch. There’s always a sports event on of some sort and specials to accompany it. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place, but it’s a cheap place to knock back a Yuengling and have a burger. |
42 /100 Canal’s Discount Liquor Mart - Williamstown (Beer Store) 2031 NORTH BLACK HORSE PIKE I only go here because it’s on my way home if I stop at Roger Wilco. The layout is typical warehouse style set-up, but the staff here just sucks. The staff is not only ignorant to their stock, they are rude and you can’t tell who works there because they wear street clothes. I asked for a Firestone Walker 15 and the guy I asked asked 3 other people who worked there (all wearing street clothes) if they had "Fireside" their system showed 13 in stock, but he couldn’t find them. The prices are decent, but the staff makes this place a huge let-down.
My advice to the owner? Require uniforms of some sort and fire most of your staff. Rude people who know nothing about what they’re selling. |
68 /100 Canal’s Discount Liquor Mart - Williamstown (Beer Store) 2031 NORTH BLACK HORSE PIKE Decent selection of singles, six packs and cases. |
