“English pub styled place, pretty clean, good service. Had a DL Geary’s HSA with a blackened burger, paired well! And for being fairly packed the day I was there, they seemed to keep up with the service. Probably give it another shot if I went through the area.“

“This place is a little tricky to find. There is a very small "Brown’s" sign at the top of Factory Hill Road on Route 22. Drive down a dirt road through a residential area, under a bridge and the old mill complex is at the end of the road. Gorgeous location next to the river. Probably one of the nicest looking tap rooms I’ve seen. Long bar, brick arches and several tables near the windows overlooking the river. Small food menu, but tasty. Decent tap list. Good service. Six packs and growlers to go, and merch. Worth going out of your way for!“

“An English pub in the middle of the forest. You know it’s good when the parking lot is overflowing at lunch and dinner. I visited with friends and family about 7 times around 2008-2009 and enjoyed each visit. The pizza, fish and stew were great but the highlight is the beer menu with about 100 choices available. I think this is where I might have discovered Lindemanns Raspberry Lambic. Worth going out of your way if passing by this area.“

“A tremendous English-style pub, kind out of out in the middle of nowhere. Great pub food, lots of soccer jerseys and bar towels on the walls and ceiling. A very very good bottle selection. Get there.“

“Lovely small English themed bar in the middle of nowhere. Food is fairly typical but enjoyable, certainly nothing special on the menu. They were fairly fast to bring me my next beer, but it took FOREVER to get a glass of water. Nice selection of English beers on tap, as well as many bottled. Mostly imports and not all were English, even a few Trappists in there. Would go back, no question.“

“Great bar. Good food. Lots of taps. Non microbrew beer bar. Taps include Fullers, Browns, Whitbread, and many others. Nice clean lines. Its on the side of a mountain heading toward Vermont. Food is homemade and is good. Its a cool place to go to.“

“Just there 11/22/04; 7th or 8th visit in past 10 years; Still the freshest Brit pint of Fullers ESB around, served near ideal temperature. Excellent sandwiches and food. Owner is generally very congenial, but can "ignore" customers at times and be somewhat moody. Prices have gone up to $4.75 imperial pint, but Hey...this is the real thing, in the middle of nowhere. A must stop by. ADDENDUM VISIT 4/07; QUALITY remains the same as above; prices now $4.95/pint-sandwiches better than ever. Unfortunately, they are having great difficulty obtaining any kegs of Fullers ESB, which was a perfectly served staple beer here for years. Shame.“

“They now carry two taps for Browns (troy Brewing’s) beers. As excellent as always...

This is one of the coolest Non US-micorbrew beer bars you will ever visit in the US. The owner and Barkeep is from the UK and all the beer on tap is from the UK (with the rare German selection). Taps include Fullers, Bluebird, Einbecker, Whitbread, Youngs and a host of other hard to find English bitters, Pale Ales, etc. Last time I was there, I had a Youngs Old Nick, a Fullers ESB, and an Einbecker Pils, all fresh. The food is all of home made quality and generally of English origin. My favoite has been the Stew. The atmosphere is rather neat, being on the sid of the mountain heading down toward Bennington Vermont on Route 7 from Troy, but before Route 22. This place is a gem and deserves a visit from us all!“
