“Decent place in a shopping strip near East Carolina University .... decent U shaped bar with typical beer taps, but a half dozen micro’s on tap .... bottle list is small, but a mix of the usual suspects and some micro’s ..... lots of sit down seating and a room for banquets .... food was great and the servers were really nice .... pint of micro was like 4 bucks and they had a nice amount of TV’s around the bar to watch sports .... the beer selection wasn’t overwhelming, but an Avery IPA, friendly servers good food and sports made it a relaxing and fun spot“

“The previous posts were very accurate...the building is outstanding and the food is very average. They have a market section for retail which was very nice. This is the second place that I’ve been to recently that had no list of bottled beer, which reflects the rapid pace of new beers being introduced or made available in certain markets. My choice of Duvel Groen on draft presented a dilemma...the beer was poured into a straight shaker pint glass, which was very inappropriate, but I got an extra 6 ounces, so I couldn’t complain. For 46 taps, the beer selection was underwhelming because there really weren’t any other beers that I hadn’t seen before or really wanted....meh“

“Christy’s is a great place! Wish they had a bit more selection on draft, but their bottled selection is pretty solid. Food is decent pub food, nothing to write home about, but definitely solid. Tandi and company have much to be proud about, and I look forward to seeing how they grow!“

“Go for the beer, but not anything else. Food is subpar at best, and service is nonexistent. From the horse’s (owner) mouth: "our best quality is our building". What a shame. They do have a great beer selection, however, and often have great kegs on tap from various breweries around the world. -- REVISED -- Service and food are improving. Hope to rewrite my review soon.“

“Considering they have 46 taps, there should be more good craft beers on tap. I can usually find a few that I like out of the 46. The food is good but limited to sandwiches. The atmosphere is great unless it is one of the times it gets over crowded. If so get ready for a long wait. This place has great potential but in over a year has not made much progress. They have some fine beers for sale in the back. I like the Foothills Seeing Double IPA on tap.“

“Great change of pace for downtown Greenville - much different scene than the clubs a few blocks over. Large selection of craft beer on tap, as well as in the back in the marketplace/lounge (where there’s some local brewery merchandise as well). Food is very good, but it’s limited to appetizers and sandwiches. Could use more heavy appetizers/dinner entrees in the evenings. Cool place overall - hope it sticks around!“

“This is a really nice place and seems very out of character for downtown Greenville. You can obtain some of the basic macro lagers that the other places in Greenville offer but this really offers a lot more. I did not count the taps but 46 seems reasonable. There certainly is something to please just about every beer palate. There is plenty of indoor as well as some outdoor seating. I did not try the food. The bartenders knew some things about the beers but were not extremely helpful (although that is from my point-of-view as someone that knows more about beer than most). The beer menu was laminated which will hold up better than a printout but doesn’t allow for the most up-to-date list. Also, some of the beers were not properly categorized. My biggest complaint was the price. My tab, including tax, was almost $15 for the Mother Earth IPA and a Dogfish 90 Minute. That seems steep. Still, Greenville really needs a place like this and I hope it does well. I know I will go back the next time I visit...06/24/2010 Re-visited Winslow’s. Nothing has really changed. Most of the taps were mediocre craft beers but there were certainly some good choices. I did notice that even though it is in the heat of the summer Guiness is the only stout or porter that was on tap. My 90 Minute IPA was $8 and I think that is steep (I only ordered the 90 Minute again because the other selection I wanted was out). The food was decent but nothing spectacular. It’s a nice bar but the beer prices are ridiculous.“

“An old Ace Hardware building renovated into a tavern, deli, market. 46 beers on tap as well as 87 bottles. Also a wine tasting area. Very nice on the inside. This is the only palce in the area like this. Didn’t try the food so I don’t know what it is like. The draft beers have a nice selection.“
