“Yet another strip mall. They've been here 4yrs, but you wouldn't ave known it. In between two other stores, the front isn't much. Opens up to a sparse table layout, with some tabletop games stacked by the door. Three-sided bar in the back right, cooler & merch behind that. Lighting needs work, spacing is too boxy, but it's clean & doesn't look like a cliche warehouse. Untappd progress screen up top, a little too much space between the bar & the taps against the wall. Anyway, I was the only one in there around 5pm & got some great feedback. A dozen taps, 8 house meads, 4 unused currently, all currently session 5-7% variants, going from dry to semi-sweet, nothing cloying. Most where honestly creative to good. The cranberry tarragon was exceptionable. They do take the training wheels off & do big seasonal mead releases. Tasted a 15%-ish botchet that was incredible. No food, but you're in a strip mall. Locals recommend going to Ida Claire 5 minutes away for exceptional pub food. $7 12oz pours, $4 samples. They have $1 off happy hour some days. Solid & exceptional at times. If I wasn't here, I'd rather just buy bottles for the hotel.“
