66 /100 Pitcher’s Linköping (Restaurant) ÅGATAN 57 Located in central Linkoping. Tap list was not too exciting but the bottle list is better. Nice patio for the sunny days. |
84 /100 Pitcher’s Linköping (Restaurant) ÅGATAN 57 Part of a chain but very different compared to the one in Örebro. They had a very nice selection of beers at very reasonable prices. This place and Kungsgatan 1 in Örebro are the places that will give you the best prices in Sweden. Very friendly staff and fast service. I prefered this place before De Klomp. At least one of the bartender is a home brewer and I exchanged some beers with him the next day. They also said they have a brewery in the basement. Not sure if it is up and running yet. |
80 /100 Pitcher’s Linköping (Restaurant) ÅGATAN 57 British themed bar in central Linköping. The tap selection is only boring macro stuff except Brooklyn EIPA, but the bottle selection is really decent! Two fridges with loads of MIkkeller, To Öl and various American stuff. Nicely priced as well, significantly cheaper than for example De Klomp. Food is supposed to be nice but I’ve never tried it. The owner and some of the bartenders are really into beer and are quite knowledgeable as well. The only downside is that the place becomes really packed on late (after 22:00) Friday and Saturday nights with loads of Whiskey Tango clientèle as there’s a rock themed night club in the basement. According to the owner, they have some kind of brewing system on the location and will start serving their own beer later this year (2014). Tried some of his test brews earlier, which were pretty promising. All in all: chain style British pub with a good bottle selection for a good price. Some notes from 2015-05-30: Nowadays, the bottle selection is even a bit better. They always have a tap with Nya Carnegie beers on, usually the Kellerbier or J.A.C.K which always is in good shape. Downstairs, they have a venue where some cool, local bands play every now and then. I’ve also gotten to know the staff better and really get along well with them. Tried the food once, which was some kind of burger, which was decent but standard pub grub. The brewery is still not up and running. The guy who was the most interested in homebrewing has quit and works for CASK Sweden nowadays, could be the reason why. |
