“Another place i small Strömstad. Seems like this city is a really hot beer place. Well it is not. Still this small summer city have two breweries. If you are (most likely) a summer tourist and want to try some beer from local Piraya Brewery. This is the place to go. They do normally have 3 to 5 beers from Piraya on tap. Also a decent bottle selection. They have some from the other local brewery also (Fermenterana). Apart from that, they do have quite decent food. And the location by the harbor is very nice. This place and Restaurangbiografen Park are by far the best Places to get a decent beer in this town. “

“At the moment (2019) - by far the best beer selection in this town. Nice ok restaurant in the city center. Very easy to find. It is also a movie theatre at the same location. Not that good beer selection. But they do have beer from the the local breweries Piraya and Fermenterana. You will not find them many other places in Strömstad.“

“Hmmm ok it is probaly the best place in this town to get a proper beer. But do they have a proper beer? Hmmm in my opinion the selection is rather BAD! You might find something more interesting at Backlunds Cafeteria just across the street. And they have good food as well!“

“Det beste i Strømstad. Foruten pallevis med pale lagers så finnes det en del spennende også, i hvert fall hvis en ikke reiser dit veldig ofte. Det som skuffer mest er at det er skikkelig dårlig utvalg av imperial stout, stout, porters o.l. Det er massevis av APAer og IPAer, men kun 2 imp stout av 230 øl.“

“Sannsynligvis en av de beste bar og restauranter i strømstad . En typisk sportspub. Fikk ikke nytt glass da vi bestilte ny flaske.“

“Not the most obvious beer place in the world, but when visiting Strømstad not a single pub is mention here at RB places, so I think the best alternative at least should be listed. Basically a modern sports pub with a big TV screen serving burgers, pizza, barbeque and salad bar. There is also an outdoor patio that would be a god spot watching the street life if good weather. The beer meny is 8 taps and about 12-15 bottles, mostly the lager brands like Carlsberg, Tuborg, Eriksbeg and Staropramen but the bottle selection also contains Samuel Adams, Nya Carnegiebryggeriet and Dugges. Would not have any expectations for the staff beer vice in such a place, put at least the bartender made a recommendation for 100W IPA from Nya Carnegiebryggeriet when asking for a good beer. There might also be a usable alternative across the street against the harbor, called Göstases, but this was closed when visiting. So by personal recommendation Kontoret is the top choice for Strømstad spring 2016. “

“A standard Systembolag, nothing special. This store is a pilgrimage for Norwegians looking for cheap pale lagers. Didn’t see any rarities from nearby Grebbestad Brewery but found some new craft beers from Sweden and abroad. (Visited April 1st 2015)“

“The best selection in Str]omstad, and certainly worth a visit. Usuallly some interesting beers in addition to all the pale lagers. Just a little bit better than the Systembolaget a bit further out.“

“Far better range of beers than the shop further out, but if you want the full range, register and pick up your beers in the shop. Look out for some rarities from nearby Grebbestad Bryggeri.“

“If you don’t have time to visit both Systembolaget stores in Strömstad, be sure to pick this one. The selection is by far the best, both classic beers and newer craft beers. There’s piles of bland lager as well, just like in every Systembolaget store, but there’s lots of goodies in the shelves. The only must visit in Strömstad.“

“Systembolaget in the city centre, beers are almost limited to light lagers, not so many exciting things to be found here, at least at my visit.“

“Ble forledet til å tro at det hadde dukket opp noen spennende nye folköl på ICA i Sverige alà; Dugges Brandmästare Andrens Törstsläckare, Hantverksbryggeriet Bonden, Chapeau Kriek och Chapeau Peche. Men de hadde ikke kommet til utkantsverige ennå. Egentlig ett skrekkelig ølutvalg. MEN de har faktisk fire britiske klassikere. Og de er helt topp med sine 3,5%. Skal en ta båten til Koster f.eks og må kjøre hjem senere på dagen er disse utmerket til en varm dag på stranden. Hobgoblin. Spitfire, Bishops finger og Old Speckled Hen finnes i hyllene.“

“Dette er Systembolaget som ligger nesten i sentrum. Mye bedre utvalg enn det som ligger ved veien før en kommer inn i sentrum. Bra parkeringsmuligheter i kjelleren. Absolutt en godt utvalg. Og de kommer stadig med nyheter.“
