“Quite typical sized Systembolaget store in shopping area. When the shopping center is very busy it can be a bit tricky to find parking space close to Systembolaget. Good selection of local breweries (such as U & Me, Bryggverket, Beer Studio, Skellefteå, Westerbottens). Friendly service.“

“Close to the train and bus station in Umeå C. Cozy British style of pub with their own brewpub producing mainly lagers and British style beers. Quite large, but full of people a Tuesday in November. Quite a few bottled beers too. Probably the best place in Umeå for local beers, except for Systembolaget.“

“Visited November 2019. Rather quiet Tuesday afternoon. Cozy downstairs pub with visible beer fridge outside the bar with some hundred bottles. Nice tap list with good mix of Swedish and international brews. Friendly service.“

“Visited on a Saturday evening in October 2019. I went straight to the cozy bar downstairs. The service was friendly and the staff seems to be knowledgeable. The selection was good, at least when talking about the bottles and cans. My favourite place in Umeå.“

“Visited on a Friday evening in October 2019. This fairly large place was crowded during my visit. I only had one beer, one of their own ones that was a bit boring to be honest. The selection was good as was the service. Next time I will visit Lottas earlier in the evening.“

“Visited early on a Friday in October 2019. A rather small and dark Bishops with a nice location, 1 minute from my hotel. (Scandic Plaza) The selection on tap was not that interesting, mostly standard stuff. The selection in the fridges was better with some local stuff. The service was good. This was a standard Bishops Arms.“

“Quite big brown pub in the center, cosy interior. Lots of beer on draft and lots of bottles too, mix of mostly local and swedish beers, with gome solid international choices. The swedish beers are the most interesting though. Friendly people, willing to give you a sample. Food is really nice, especially the reindeer. Prices are high, but normal for Sweden. Good place!“

“Busy cafe/restaurant in the city centre - good location. "Green" eco-hipster feeling. Service was friendly. When in Umeå this is one place to check as they have some locals on bottles. Selection is not so wide.“

“UPDATE 10/2017: They have now reopened with new name (ex-Guitars Bar & Restaurant): Hundra. They call themselves "Gastropub" serving lunch and dinner but beers are more or less same than they used to be. Perhaps less interesting taps. They are rare place to be open also in time between lunch and dinner.

“Newish downstairs place of Rex. This place has real "beer cellar" ambiance. Selection was excellent both on taps and bottles. Friendly and professional service. The most likely number #1 spot for Umeå now.“

“More or less a wine place, but still a small nice selection of Swedish and Danish micros. Quite cosy, though a bit hipstery/upscale feelingg to it. Very nice service, even though we just popped in for a beer or two. Menu looked good, but I had already eaten a while before visiting this place.“

“Kort besök. "Feelingen" är väl något fancy-pancy, uppskattar kanske lite mer avslappnat och slitet stuk egentligen. Riktigt trevlig utbud, även om inte jättestort. Stort plus är själva "ölhyllan" där alla flaskor står på tydlig display, UTANFÖR bardisken. Som ett skyltfönster med öl. Dessutom med ölmeny i pappersform så det går att bläddra sig igenom utbudet, sorterat efter stil. Trevlig personal.“

“Hip place with funky rhyrhms from real vinyl dj, a gastro menu with small dishes, a beer menu with 30-40 beers, among them apx 15 local ones. Found one light local beer and enjoyed the rhythms, though any vocals never appeared. Interesting place, which has a potential to become even more interesting.“

“Located in Umeå City-centre, a bit east of the main square. The only place you get Beer Studio Guitars - The Amplified Ale, and they have it on tap. Nice menu. Clientel mostly local artists in music or other cultural activities. Not a noisy place. A ratebeerian should visit this place early evening or late afternoon, asking for that guitar beer. And possibly another bottle or two,, local brews.“

“Easy interior, knowing staff, quality on taps, interesting fridge with a great selection of bottles from local brewers, as Nausta and Bryggverket a.o. Absolutely a place a ratebeerian should visit while staying in Umeå Sweden. I found a couple of rare ones from Nausta, and became very satisfied. New visit 2016, found a new again. Good place!“

“Nice interior, quick staff, cozy athmosphere. Björkstadens Brewery has at least 3 beers all the time on their taps, and their local patriotism is good, as they have Nausta, Kallholmen, Bryggverket, BeerStudio, Westerbotten and South Side on their menu (1/2015). Absolutely a place a ratebeerian should visit during a stay in Umeå Sweden.“

“Friendly staff (including 1 norwegian one) welcoming you just inside the door on western corner of the old city hall building in centre of Umeå. Impressive printed menu, including eighty beers, both local and international interesting beers. 11 taps and almost 100 bottles. Umeå brewers were represented very well. Nice bar to visit early in the evening. Good burgers. Update; downstairs Rådhuskällaren, bottled beers displayed in a huge glass cupboard. More than 100. Rex and their basement is absolutely a beerspot.“

“Small cafe with 40-50 seats, nice menu with delicious sandwiches and baguettes. Smiling and friendly staff. They have no taps, but 10-15 bottles, with at least 50% focus on local microbrews. Alright place to start, as they close earlier than the others. “

“Located in a business city block, but with the expected pub’bish interior. Good focus on local brewers as Westerbotten BeerStudio Kallholmen Nausta Umea etc, usual selection on taps, friendly athmosphere and staff, tasty burgers, a bit stiff prices - 11 euros a local craft beer. I’ll visit it again though.“

“Place looks like any other The Bishops Arms. Visited with oh6gdx and agree that tap selection was a bit boring but bottle sortiment was quite interesting with lots of local bottles. Service was friendly and knew about the beers. Place was full packed during the Saturday afternoon! No single seat.“

“English type clean, big pub. It is a brewpub but they have lots of other beers too including other locals. Bottle sortiment looked also quite good. Service was good and pulled pork BBQ burger ok. One of the must places to visit in Umeå.“

“A cosy restaurant, which is in several parts, one restaurant for dining (table reservations needed, seems to be very busy on weekends), a bar part, where you can just drop in for a beer or seven andthen they have a coctail lounge downstairs. The beer selection was a rough 70-ish when I visiited, and the bartender said he tries to rotate the beer selection monthly. Has both local brews as some well chosen beers from abroad. Fast and very friendly service, the staff seems to be knowledgeable and have an interest in what they do as well.“

“Pretty much looks like most Bishops Arms in Sweden do. The tap selection did look a bit boring compared to some other Bishops Arms, but the bottle selection looked quite decent with many local brews as well as a bunch of for instance Danish beers. The times I’ve been here it’s been very crowded, but still the service flows really smoothly and the bartenders do take time to answer questions even though being very busy.“

“Apart from being a brewpub, this place carries a bunch of other microbreweries products as well, Nausta, Kallhomen, Westerbotten and South Side to mention a few. Friendly service, and the food is well worth the money and the wait. At times a bit slow, but then again that’s what happens when places get crowded. Nice and cosy place where you can go for both good eating, and still welcome if you only want to have a beer and chat.“

“Went in for a quickie to get a few local brews, and the place was really crowded. Still the service was quick and friendly. Seems to focus on vegetarian foods and coffee, but also has a nice little selection of beers, which were mainly from local breweries. A bit "too hipstery" for my taste. Looking at other peoples plates, the food looked really nice.“

“A sort of sports/english/family tavern- type of a brewpub. English interiour. Decent selection of ales, with a huge bonus for brewing their own too. Their beers, however, weren’t really that impressive. Sort of bland, with cardboardy flavours. The food wasn’t that great either. Basic pub food, some of it felt as if it came ready made & frozen. But always nice to try some locally brewed ones.“
