“Beautiful drive to approach this place, nestled in a small valley in the Shenandoah. Clearly a working farm covers both sides of the road, with a farm store and pick your own blackberries when we visited in August. The full taproom is now open, just a bar and some tables, very dark inside. They also have a covered outdoor space, very rustic and comfy, with a large screen TV and cornhole in the yard. Part of this space was full of toys to keep the kiddies occupied. The beer was challenging to drink, especially the IPA and pale ale. We actually returned the flight and discussed it with staff, who thought the beers were fine.“

“Quaint place. The brewery is located in the back of a store that features some of the farm’s other products. Small tap room with four taps and a small seating area. More family style seating upstairs, next to the kitchen from which wafted smells of baked goods and sausages. Flights are served in muffin pans. Very homey. The bathroom has a full shower, and it’s clear this place was once used as an apartment. Located down a long country road that was almost flooded from the rain. Beer quality was fairly poor with the coffee stout as the only decent offering. They do plan to expand to another building nearby, including going from a half barrel to a 3 barrel system. Hopefully the beers will improve then. Expensive for the quality of the beer. Not worth going out of your way for, at least not yet .“
