“Nice, fairly small and informal tasting room with some outside seating. They had board games and food truck. OK selection of beers and they were all decent, though nothing really overwhelming. They had live music in a room behind the bar. Not far from the interstate and worth a stop.“

“Simple and clean tap room. Service was good- was here with a group and they went out of their way to help us order food from nearby. A decent number of brews on tap. Prices fine.“

“Kind of a common look to the place, though I didn’t check out the back. (I hear they’ve got a courtyard setup, but I’d have to check it out for myself.) The beers are pretty good. They have about 10 year rounds and 4 specialties. The guys at the bar seemed like they were already the primary investors, but nice people all the same. I’ll be going back here again.“

“This brewery has been brewing for three years, but just recently moved from one industrial warehouse space to another right across the alley, with a corresponding increase in size and the addition of a bottling line. The inside of the tasting room is very sparse, and the brewhouse is not visible, just a small tasting bar with four stools and some standing room, and a few tables scattered about. Eight or ten beers on offer included four seasonals. I thought they were solid enough. Flights of any four are available. Brewer/owner was present on a Sunday, answering questions. Interestingly, like a handful of other small breweries in the area, they have an official sign on I-64 (along with gas stations and fast food places). Worth a stop if in the area, and only a short ride from I-64 or I-294, and not that far from I-95.“

“This brewery is seeing exciting growth. The first time I visited it was in a small room. Now in a larger room but plans on expanding further. They purchased the used fermenters and other equipment from O’connor in Norflk. There was a food truck at the brewery . The bartender Robb was helpful and knowledgeable of their beers. The expansion will be ready mid year. I liked their IPA the best of the group I tried.“

“Virginia’s newest brewery, for now. Was a bit of a trick to find as my GPS hasn’t been updated too long. Located in an industrial park just a bit North of the interstate. This is a small brewery in an industrial park with a small tasting room, but planning to expand both brewing operations and the tasting room as soon as the neighboring unit becomes available. Only 2 beers on tap and only 3 taps in the tasting room. They are still on a 55 gallon system with 3 barrel fermentation tanks. The beer was solid. A little bit pedestrian and slightly off-style, but still showing some signs of promise. The head brewer was working the tasting room and was very nice, as were his parents who were helping him out. Plenty of parking. My growler fill was $10. A few years ago Richmond lost two breweries, but with Hardywood Park and now this place they’ve gotten two back, and the overall quality is better. Good for them.“
