“Apparently this place has been open for 6 years! It's a self-pour, pay-by-the-ounce bar (tickers' paradise!), with 32 taps, maybe 20-24 of which are beers or cider. Like all such places, you check in, get a tag, and pour whatever quantities of the beers you want. Nicely designed interior, with a couple dozen tables, plus a nice intimate patio area out front. They had a decent taplist when I visited, though a couple of the kegs were not in the most pristine of condition. There were fruit flies in some of my pours because apparently I got the first pour of the day -- they don't bother to cap the lines, nor pour a bit from each at the start of the day ("it happens -- first pour of the day", I was told -- at least the guy comped me the $ amounts). Notwithstanding this deficiency, this is a solid place close to the border that's worth checking out.“

“I’ll try to be as polite as I can here... I visited within about 2 months of them opening, located in Ferndale’s sleepy city centre. Pleasant space, with lots of long share tables. 6 beers on tap - no flights, only schooners or pints (not impressive), though they’ll do tastes. Now the beer quality: 4 of the 6 beers were totally messed up with cleaner / disinfectant, making them completely undrinkable; the IIPA was a pure diacetyl bomb and honestly one of the worst beers I’ve ever tried; and the black IPA was just passable. They really need to sort their brewing out - selling product like this is unacceptable. The guys running the place seemed nice enough. Avoid like the plague m, at least for now.“

“One of the better Haggen’s Grocery store locations in the surrounding area in terms of both beer and ready made food. Friendly service and a good bottle selection of near 100 singles bottles. Worth a stop if in the area and you can’t make it to Bellingham.“
