“In a row of breweries in Kenmore. Spacious taproom, ~20 of mostly their own beers on draft. Beer is solid, best of the bunch was a Black IPA, bitter was also very good. Would happily drop by if in the area again, wouldn't go out of my a to go here, though.“

“The newest of the Kenmore breweries. They just keep working their way down the road towards my house. Fun game! Came here on opening day, and because of the location, and good beer, I’ve been back more times than I can count. Very nice taproom set up in the production area, and very clean with that considered. Modern feel, big shiny tanks that they pour beer straight out of. Love it! Brewer is always on site when I go, pouring beers and answering questions. Bring your own food establishment, with a bunch of local menus on site to look through. Dog and kid friendly. Has a lobby like entrance with a bunch of couches to relax and enjoy the beer. 10 beers on tap as well as a guest cider and a small batch, experimental tap from Cairn. Overall, I’m impressed with this place, and glad I can walk next door to this place any time. If you are hitting breweries in the north lake area, and don’t have time to hit all the Kenmore stops, I recommend making sure you hit this one.“

“Beautiful place, with a fairly modern feeling - the pristine brewing facilities are right next to the tasting room area. Custom flights of 4 available for $8, or singles for $2, which is nice. Service is very friendly and helpful. Sadly wasn’t impressed with the beers, a number of them having some infections and just being far from what would be acceptable from certain styles. Hopefully this improves, as the place itself is a great stop and worth visiting (literally across the street from 192).“

“Big warehouse type place close to 192 and Cairn Brewing, so good for a little brewery hop around this area. 12 beers on tap, of varying types and quality. I was impressed with the Dry Hopped Pale Ale and the Imperial Red, but everything else was strange or somewhat off / harsh. $2 per 5 oz. pour, which makes it convenient for tickers. Service was okay -- quick and friendly enough, though rather obnoxious / arrogant. Worth a stop and I might be back to see how this place progresses.“

“On the Burke-Gilman Trail, it’s getting to the point where stopping for a beer at each brewery will leave you pretty damn sloshed. Three of them are close together here in Kenmore, and I’d have to give Cairn the nod for best beer out of those three.

They’ve taken over a decent-sized light-industrial space with a little bit of parking for vehicles, and plenty of parking for bikes, rollerblades, running shoes...you get the idea. There’s a patio with light house-made rails setting it off from vehicle parking, then big roll-up doors, then picnic tables, then the brewhouse. It all flows together. In back, there’s a tidy clean bar, and off to the side is some overstuffed furniture that looked pretty comfortable.

The staff are nice, prices are good. They’re firing on all cylinders here, though they do not appear to have a kitchen. (They might allow outside food, not sure). The beers aren’t bad, no apparent flaws, but a little bit out of balance for my taste (a little sweet here, a little dry there, a little chewy on this one, etc--just subjective preferences).

These guys have taken their time a bit, and built up exactly what they want in the way of a brewhouse, at least from what I can see. I am pretty sure that when you order a beer, there’s a good chance a brewer pours it for you--maybe the only brewer. I love seeing the relentless rise of neighborhood brewing in this area. Can’t wait to see more of them, and to watch these guys grow.“

“You can hardly keep up with all the breweries opening these days, even when you try. If you’re not trying, forget it—just drink whatever sounds good. There are too many to keep up with. Whew. We now have two breweries right around the corner from one another, just off the Burke-Gilman trail, ready with suds to quench your bikery rollerbladery thirst.

These guys have a great big warehouse space in Kenmore, where there’s a lot of light-industrial stuff happening. Breweries are great at coming in to convert unused spaces, and that’s what’s happened here. You park out front in a lot where you feel like welders and machinists probably used to park when they showed up for work. Inside, there are massive high ceilings, and walls far enough apart that you could damn near lay out a football field. They’ve roughed in storage space, refrigerator space, and a couple distinct seating areas around the bar. There’s one bathroom with that home-made feel that warehouse bathrooms often have.

The bar is the center of the room, and you can stop there for a beer, or continue past it for a tour of the brewhouse. There’s a TON of available space to add lots more tanks in the future, when they get to that point. There’s seating at the bar, and there are couches around the corner. In the main space, there are lots of tables and chairs under a projector throwing TV onto a giant wall across the room. This is clearly a fun place to watch the game, and they probably do movie nights as well.

The staff here have that bald tattooed quirkiness that’s very common to the beer industry, and they’re pouring a medium-sized lineup of house beers. They’re still dialing in their system, so the beers aren’t quite ready for prime time yet, but they immediately and very cheerfully took a sour off our bill when we pointed out that it had gone completely flat. I love seeing all the progress in the beer business around here, and to watch things almost bursting at the seams with all this activity. The fact that these guys are right next to a major exercise thoroughfare and one of the quirkier outdoor tasting rooms around, well, that just makes it all the more fun. “

“Huge warehouse location next door to 192. I was very excited to see this open up, since it is a short 8 minute walk from home. Huge projection TV screen and random in house events and activities make this a fun place to hang out. Several taps and randals with a couple guest taps and ciders. The beer is still a bit of a question mark for me. I have had a couple of good ones there, have also had a bad experience with their sour beer. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt, because they are still new and figuring stuff out I suppose. I say give this place a shot for sure. It’s a cool place, but I much prefer the offerings next door. Update. Heads up, they don’t believe in IPA’s, so don’t expect to get one here. The brewer unfortunately only prefers to brew what he is willing to drink. His opinions bother me.“

“Large and airy warehouse space by the Burke-Gilman trail, next door to 192 Brewing. About a dozen taps, plus a couple of randalls going, mostly with the brewery’s own beers. The brewing was hit or miss, some big mistakes but also some promising beers. Huge tv screen will make this a very popular spot for sports fans. I’ll be back.“

“The atmosphere is unique and the location is great, but the beer they make is pretty bad. They do have a decent selection of other brews, but never, ever, have their beer. They will try to tell you that they make a good blond but it taste like dirty glasses and I'm sure the glassware was plenty clean.“

“Strange place, and I imagine your enjoyment of the place will depend on the time of year you go and the the folks you’re sharing with. The small front room with the taps is cozy, but there is a large warehouse space just behind that would be a nice summer place to hang out. Lots of tables and some games. Beer is suspect, they often don’t have much of their own on tap and the ones I’ve tried were not very good, but there are interesting guest handles occasionally. In the north end, worth checking out“

“This is a one weird place, in a good way; if you follow your GPS, you’re almost there, you just need to enter a path that seems like you are getting into a scrapyard. I reached there late in the night, and the place was empty, but the bartender was kind enough to allow me a few samples although they were closing. They may have just a couple of their beers, and the rest are guest taps, all local (WA), fairly good beers. There is a large yard that would be enjoyable in a sunny afternoon. Wifi available. Live music sometimes, good selection of music when we visited (Jethro Tull?). Simple and pleasant place.
192 is the size of their brewery, that is located at a different address, 192 squared feet!“

“A great, kinda unique location in Kenmore just off the trail. I very fortunately live a few blocks away. Always a good selection of beers with always something new to try. They don’t always have a selection of their own beers available so that is a little disappointing at times. Update: I’ve learned they began brewing on a much larger borrowed system, which could be the cause of them having their own beers on at all times these days. A huge outdoor seating area which is especially nice in the warmer months of the year. Food menu is slightly limited but there isn’t a bad thing on the menu. A very big plus for me is that 192 is dog friendly. Overall, great beers, great food, knowledgeable friendly staff, and convenient hours. I’ll keep coming back for sure, and spread the word.“

“Start with looking at some photos on this one. They’ll tell the story better than a review ever could. This place is carved into pre-existing territory that was never designed for al fresco tippling, and that’s absolutely what makes it so cool. This is light industrial land on the shoulders of the lake, with the B-G Trail running right alongside. They’ve taken over an old warehouse space and created an outdoor beer garden with some light landscaping and mix and match outdoor furniture. Inside, the same thing appears to have happened. The house crew must have hammered everything together, judging by the solid (if rather rough and ready) carpentry everywhere. It’s still a newer place, but it looks more like it just happened over time than like it was made from scraps--even though there’s a reasonable likelihood that it was made from scraps. But that doesn’t stop the place, or even slow it down at all. There’s a sense of humor to the whole megilla--the staff is easy-going, funny, and ready to welcome you into what they clearly think of as a proper place to drink a beer. You too should think of this as a proper place to drink a beer. They pour good stuff, their own and guest taps. They have live music regularly, and good stuff playing on the hi-fi when there isn’t a band playing out in the, uh, carport, or whatever it is. This definitely in no way resembles a glossy downtown spot for beers. It’s a slightly goofy but completely sincere and eminently competently run taproom. It’s gonna be a regular spot for me for sure.“
