“Tiny brewery in a garage next to owner’s house. Definitely off the beaten path. Owner and two staff were sweet and grandmotherly, which was appreciated as I had my two young kids in tow and stopped in on the way from DC to Buckhannon. Four beers on draft to try in 2 ounce samples for total of $4.00. Beers ok. Got a growler of the smoked coffee porter, bought a hat. Stop in when travelling through on I-68.“

“What a place. Stopped by while Roger was cleaning equipment, the day after brewing, and he spent a lot of time chatting with me. Nice location in the hills of eastern West Virginia. GPS served me well, but see the directions on his website to be sure, especially if you’re coming from the west. This is a 3.5 barrel setup in a garage, with one small corner marked off as a tasting area with a small counter and a few stools. Five beers on offer when I visited, available only in small samples, no full pints. Roger gives you pretzels and peanuts with the flight, which is a nice touch. Beers were all very solid. Growlers are possible, as well as plastic containers - Roger and his distributor got the law passed to allow that. His wife Cristina often tends bar as well. They have plans for an outdoor patio/tasting area this summer, and plan to eventually refurbish a barn to accommodate a larger brewhouse. Great stop, well worth your while.“
