“Lodge housing on the blvd with flags and porch for sitting outside. Rustic charm inside, new bartender but very attentive. Ordered flight of 6 brews, she gave two golden ales instead of a IPA. She couldn’t tell, WOW. Decent brews but nothing stood out:( Music playing Friday night but NO Happy Hour WTF! Interesting place with little 5bbl setup in the corner. Didn’t eat but wings looked good, had food at other brewery earlier. Good stop for the tick.“

“Beautiful ’Village’ 2 year old brewery with modern design. Upstairs has a decent view of the lake and equipment. Had a flight of 6 brews all standard quality. Great happy hour 3-6 pm on Monday-Thursday with great food. Friendly bartender that help with places to go in Big Bear. Best brewery in Big Bear. BIPA was their best, miss the 2 yr. anniversary brew:( Worth the tick.“

“Tiny cabin-like spot next to a wood carvings shop. Table in the middle is for you pick sixers. Watch your dates at this places old stuff. I didn’t buy any IPAs, but stouts I did buy. Prices are pricey and selection was iffy. Had Great Divide, Bells and SanTan that I couldn’t get in Vegas. Worth a look while in Big Bear though.“

“Visited with my wife on the evening of Wednesday 1st June 2016. Nowhere near the "folksy" and "homely" place it’s website portraits and certainly not a beer destination. Two taps, one with cider, the other Hanger 24 Orange Weissbier, so no beer on tap! The bottle selection was a joke for serious beer geeks with nothing of interest at all. Our wine however was fine (very restricted choice) and my Pastrami Hash with two easy over eggs was superb, the wife’s Salmon not so great . What can I say? Fine for breakfast?“

“Visited on the evening of 31st May 2016. Impressive looking place in ’the Village’, we sat outside on a thin one table wide corridor, inside was busier. Brewing equipment and barrel aging casks on show behind clean windows, all looked good. Six of their beers on tap, I had a flight with each within it. The brewer has a sweet tooth, which is fine by me. Food was plentiful and good, with veggie stuff for non-meat lovers. Large board on entering the place covers the draft beer selection (all theirs,no guests), menu covers the fairly small bottle choices (none of theirs). Nice place and a pleasant experience in a mountain tourist town.“

“Visited on 31st May 2016. Lovely little place next door to a Bear carving woodyard and gift shop. Packed to the roof with a huge selection of beers, wines and spirits. I liked the middle table that was piled with various beers to make your own six pack (mostly 12oz offerings). Young lady fronting the joint on my visit, friendly and helpful. Not the cheapest beer store I have been in, but this is a tourist town.“

“The inner ticket in me brought me here. I was warned it might not be good. It wasn’t amazing but worth a stop. Service was attentive. Wings are crispy as hell. Beers are mostly so-so.“

“Skip the rest and come here when in big bear lake. Some really great beers, some rarer bottles and superb service. They also advertise that they deliver. The guy who helped me is really eager about craft beer.“

“Really a nice spot. Service is awesome. Tried all 7 beers. Good...a few could use some tweaking. But a great vibe.“

“Visited here for lunch while on vacation in August ’13. Family style restaurant that has been around since the 40’s. Have at least 10 regionals on tap and the same number of bottles - perhaps a few more when you throw in the BMC. I had a Hangar 24 Orange Wheat. Excellent food - I had the fish tacos. They only take cash. Worth a visit if in the Big Bear area.“

“There isn’t much going on beer wise in Big Bear, and this place isn’t helping much. Pretty tiny little place, a handful of tables inside and a patio outside. Food and beers are very expensive, particularly for what you get. The beers are just awful. I think only one of them was really drinkable.“

“OK, this place was a bit odd. there is a small bar and some couches/chairs to sit. When i was there, there were a bunch of cougar ladies sitting down being really loud and annoying. they were raving how good their beer was. Well, i have to say the beer here sux minus their dopplebock. If your in the area go ahead and stop at this place but not worth a trip out of your way to go to this.“

“Cozy little brewpub just a mile or so off the main Big Bear scene (actually it’s quite a sleepy town and you won’t find much else). When you go in it’s got that hmely english pub/living room feel. Small set up, meaning that on the holiday weekend we went the two biggest beers were out. Quite a disppointment since the beers we tried were average to poor. Food was good, mostly a selection of burgers, sandwiches and salads and service had a friendly family fee to it. Hopefully I just caught them at a bad time and the beers will be slightly better next time as well as having the bigger beers available.“

“A small bar feel in Big Bear. Friendly service, the food was a little below average, the beer likewise, but if your in Big Bear, this is about the best the town has to offer. The orange blossom beer and dopple bock are their best offerings.“

“A cool hole in the wall place. From the road it looks like a lodge. Inside it is very small and cozy. Old looking lodge. There is always a ton of people in here and there is usually one or two servers, so it always takes a while to get helped, but they are always friendly and helpful. The food is good. Mostly comfort food like burgers and what not. Pretty sure it is a family operation. I was in there once when a cool jam band - cover band was playing. Very cool place. Always closes early and isnt always open. I wanted an IPA once and they were out, so they had us go out back to the keg cooler truck to carry one up the back steps. Pretty funny stuff, but we got a half price growler for doing so.“
