“Visited March 23, 2013.

I came here expecting to be let down. The one rating is pretty bad and it’s the only place in the area. However I was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn’t drive all the way from LA to Cayucos for this place but I could see stopping in if taking 1 up the coast. I found the usuals like Firestone, Stone, Ballast Point, etc and the locals like Tap It and Figueroa Mountain but I found a few interesting items like some 2004 (yes 9 years old) Moylans White Christmas. In case you don’t know that’s when the beer was a different recipe (pre 2008 or so) and it aged well, though I’m not convinced that it will still be good 9 years later. Who knows. It was $2.99 for the22oz so I bought one to try. They also have the standard portfolio of European imports like Chimay, Rochefort, Duvel, etc.

The guy a the counter seemed to know a decent amount about beer and was excited to get new stuff in. This is most likely the best and possibly only place to go in the area to get decent beer.“

“Nice little bottle shop right next to the beach in Cayucos. Too bad you can’t drink beer on the beach. Decent selection of micros and Belgians, along with their macros. If you are staying in Cayucos you can get plenty of decent stuff to survive.“
